Is no longer able to print on a network HP 6310 printer - printing error (works fine, now the printing error returns)

Was printing fine, no problem, then had problem with printer HP 6310 showing as offline while he was online
Fix this problem by unchecking the box SMTP on the printer port.
Now shows that it is printing, but after a minute or so, it returns an error ("error printing")

Interesting, when I try to cancel the document does not print, I have to click Cancel to remove the document - the first time I get a "send error" - the second time, the document disappears.

  • I am running Vista home Premium (64 bit) on computer laptop Dell Studio 15, updated with Service Pack 1.  This error has occurred even after a cold reboot.

It worked very well - I think that the original problem (printer showing as offline) happened after a hibernation, but problem now Vista think it's printing (after turning off SMTP setting on the printer port), but it's not.

Hello Ibusby2000,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forum.  I suggest to go to the manufactures website and download the latest drivers and or updates.  You can also remove the printer and add it again.

Thank you for using answers Forum. Please let us know how it works.

  • Is no longer able to print from MacBook Pro Wireless to wired C7280

I've been grafted this on an existing thread, thinking it was the same question.  Looks like it was something else now, so I thought I should probably for this spin-off on its own thread.

    Details:

Printer: The Photosmart C7280 all-in-One, connected to the network via Ethernet, IP 192.168.1.5 (confirmed with the network Menu > view network settings > display wired summary)

Router: Verizon/Actiontec MI424-WR (Verizon FiOS) with

    * Ethernet ports

    * 802. 11B and 11 g with WPA encryption

Desktop computer: iMac with Mac OS 10.5.8, Ethernet connection.  I initially installed the HP from the CD software when we arrived the 7280 a few years ago, but we've probably updated since then.

My laptop: MacBook Pro with Mac OS 10.5.8, WiFi.  I think that the HP software has been downloaded originally from hp.com (rather than the original CD).

Mobile woman: MacBook with Mac OS 10.6.3 free Wi - Fi.  Downloaded HP software from hp.com.

We have been able to print from laptops on the 7280 until several days ago.  After that, whatever it is sent by laptops remained on the queue of the printer without any reaction from the printer, even after the usual stuff (electric bike on printers, printers pausing and unpausing, holding jobs and unholding, etc..)

Our laptops seem to lose wireless connection a bit more frequently than normal, and at first I thought it was the problem.  Lately, however, can't do anything to print even when wireless connection remains strong.  I can print from iMac, however.

As stated above, my wife MacBook has 10.6.3, so I'll try instructions on other threads to uninstall the HP software and using the built-in 10.6 drivers.  If I can lift the MacBook from my wife long enough :-)

During this time, I tried to troubleshoot my MacBook Pro.  I can ping 192.168.1.5, and I can pull up the printer web page by entering '192.168.1.5' in my web browser.

So I followed the instructions here:

    e http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam = c01893662 & tmp_task = solveCategory & lc = en & dlc = en & c...

(title: Mac OS X: print jobs are stuck in the print queue and Will not print on a network product)

I followed the Solution 1 (remove and readd printer) until I got to steps 7 and 8.  The printer has not been automatically added to the list of printers, so I clicked on the Add button, but was not able to choose my printer in the list.  Some information contained in Solution 2 seemed to hint that I had a connectivity issue and suggested that I look for network connectivity solutions.  Unfortunately, all network connectivity as Windows-specific utility called FAQ, so I decided to uninstall the HP software (using Uninstall HP).  I downloaded HP_Installer_PSC7200_v9.7.1.dmg to hp.com and ran to her, but here's what happened:

    • To step select the device, no device appears even if the printer is turned on and on the network.  (As noted earlier, I can ping it.)  I checked "my device is not listed" and clicked on continue; When "Photosmart C7200 series" appeared, I chose it.
    • In the subset "Select device connection", I chose "network". (The "device" in this question is the printer - right?)
    • I went through the step of the installation.
    • No device has been registered at the configuration stage.  I have it handled in the same way that step select the device ("my device isn't", continue, click on 'Photosmart C7200 series' continue, 'Network', continue.)
    • This time, I got this dialog box: "If your device is not listed, it is not supported by the installer.  Please visit www.hp.com/support to download an installer, if available"even if it was the correct Installer for C7200 and Mac 10.5.

I forgot something?  What should I try next?

It seems that the printer is OK and that it is on the network.  You can optionally set a static IP for it, but we will do things first.

The first thing I would try would be to reset the printing system on all the Macs in the problem:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (Ctrl) click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

If it's not it there may be something to do with the router.  I have some ideas, if necessary.  Let me know.

  • Best solution to reprint an opening to the format book Apple is no longer able to print?

I have a MacBook Pro with El Capitan.  Apple no longer supports opening and I am able to reproduce a book I did on opening.  I read on some of the online companies that make books and I wonder if you have had experience with Blurb, my editor or Presto Photo (everything was recommended to me by Apple) or any company online.  I would like the same (or better) quality as a... beautiful color and paper Apple iBook?  Any suggestions or comments would be very useful.   Have you ever downloaded a PDF of the Apple notebook to another publishing company book online?  If so, it is messed up or it came as Apple books?

  • My iPad is no longer able to print wireless

My HP Photosmart 5514 worked very well now, it will not print except HP ePrint email! I can no longer print directly from Photos or Pages. All of my connections are good. Why won't it print? I use iPhone Personal Hotspot as a router between my iPad and the HP Photosmart 5514. What is the printer software upgrade I recently downloaded?

OK, try this. When you double-click the home button and the list of apps to come to the dock at bottom down on one of the applications for about 1 second, then then all apps should start to shake and have a sign less in the upper right corner. Click on this sign less on all applications until they are all gone. Then power cycle the iPad and try again.

If you try again and still unable to print, then click on the home button twice again and see if you see a print queue icon then.

    Let me know what happens.

  • I am no longer able to afford and don't forget fast. I have to manually, click the red icon in the upper left to access. How to restore the automatic prompt?

Yesterday, I visited a site to which I often, pingtest.net. Normally, when I visit this site, a thin horizontal bar appears at the top of the browser look at a framework. I don't remember what he said, but it spans the entire length of the frame, from left to right. On the right edge of the bar is a x, if I want to close. In addition, when this horizontal bar appears, I also have a box that is approximately six to seven times the height of the thin horizontal bar that appears on the left edge of the horizontal bar thin. This area extends across the width of about one-sixth or fifth of the width of the horizontal bar. It contains something like the following: show all, allow, authorize, and don't forget. I normally click on display all option, and I normally select Enable for all options now.

Here's what happened yesterday: I went to pingtest.net, the horizontal bar appeared and everything seemed normal. However, I have not taken any action. Instead, I changed my mind and decided to go to a different URL. My slider was in the middle of the screen. I moved the slider up until I was intending to be the URL field, in order to enter a new URL. Unfortunately, I did not move the slider enough. So, instead of clicking in the URL field, I clicked right in the middle of the horizontal bar. I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT I CLICKED, BUT FROM THAT MOMENT TO WHAT THE HORIZONTAL BAR HAS NEVER REAPPEARED. WHAT I CLICKED, IT SEEMS THAT I LOADED FIREFOX TO NEVER PROVIDE ME THIS HORIZONTAL BAR AGAIN!

As a result, I am also is more to get the box gray with the allow all display, allow and don't forget options.

How can I find a normal behavior and get the normal horizontal bar and the normal box with the options to show all, allow, authorize, and don't forget?

I do not know if you clear the "Site preferences" for the last time (s) would have effect if you would not do that immediately.

  • Is no longer able to install windows updates after factory reset (windows service exception / failure set up the updates of windows roll back)

So suddenly, I wanted to start my 3 month old laptop, but found that it was getting a system service exception.

After hours of troubleshooting, I decided to go with a clean installed, this has completely fine until I installed the updates of windows (I have to install these updates to return Windows 8.1)

After you install all the following updates occurs after a reboot:

-Default configuration of the windows updates, roll back later, I get a system service exception.

    - Or directly a system service exception.

These problems are solveable by a system restore to a point that has no updates.

The next thing I could try is install the updates of windows 1 by 1 to see the update is causing this particular problem.

If anyone has a way to solve this problem please help.

  • Brother laser printer worked fine, now does not print. ????

The strange thing is that it printed fine a few days ago.  I don't think that I've changed something such as the registry or Services.msc and the print spooler has started in the Services.  I try to print a test page and it comes is in the queue and said "error - printing".  Its connected by USB and the port's LPT-1.  When I use the convenience store brother tells me "a print job in the print queue prevents other printing of print."  It says it has fixed the problem (a green check mark is there).  When I cancel this job (only here - the test page) the same thing happens again.  I don't find in Device Manager.  It is not a section for printers.  Would be - as Ports or USB controllers?  If this is the case, it does not say "printer."  Perhaps, it refers only to the port used?

I didn't think that it would make a difference because she seems to be a problem of connection/port.  Turns out it was a hardware problem... a cable failed.  It was a removable end.  Never seen that before.  Probably not a good feature!  In any case, it was a good lesson.  I should have replaced the first thing cable rather than a lot later.  Its fast and results are instantaneous.  Everyone seems to have extra cables lying around!

  • Urge 4520: 4520 ENVY will be is no longer scan or print

I got my desire since December and until today, it was great. It won't print or scan. I tried everything I can think of.  I used HP printing Scan Doctor several times. I checked my settings wireless more than once, I downloaded the drivers and software and re-installed the printer. I have triple checked my wireless settings. The printer tells me that it is connected, the error message I get tells me this printer is visible from my computer, but cannot communicate. I even did a restore of the computer system where it was a computer problem.  I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help?  It's the 4520 desire and I have windows 10. I printed changed something 2 days ago and it was fine.

    Hi @SandyC5,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your problem of communication.

I understand that you use a printer of All - in - One HP ENVY 4520 with computer Windows 10 and you are no longer able to print or scan wireless. I would like to help with that.

Here is a document of support that can help you with a lot of problems of communication - "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).

You mentioned that you have run printing HP and doctor Scan that did not help. When this happens, the next thing I do is uninstall all the software and drivers associated with the printer. Here is a document of support that can help you with this if needed - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows).

Then, try to use the HP printer installation wizard for installation. This tool will find the most recent version of the printer software and installation help.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • printer scan works only with the new windows 7

upgrade windows xp to windows 7 with the new HP Omni 220PC. Have a printer HP C309g-m. To scan from the printer to the computer xp, I had to use the HP Solution Center. The printer works very well with the new windows 7 program and new computer. I install wireless. No problems with it. Today when I went to scan a document with the HP Solution Center (I thought I had to use as before), this message came.

"HP Solution Center cannot work because your device installation is not complete. Please connect the usb cable, or rerun the installation for a network installation cd. If it does not complete the installation, or you do not have the cd, access the HP help files by clicking on the start menu. "Everything I did. My installation CD said I had a version of the latest update on the installation CD, it was of no use. I went to the HP site and find a download for the drivers updated etc. I downloaded and installed. (although I don't know whether or not it was a duplicate of the drivers of devices on windows 7 for this.) I checked Add/Remove programs to make sure that the printer and the hp solultion Center have been added to the programs. they are listed. I can always scan with

the hp Solution Center. Should I not this program to scan with this new pc? How can I scan from my printer now? I even tried to click scan on the printer, then scan to computer. the message I got was 'Try from scan of compurer. Refer to the documentation for more details ".  To be sure, I'm all mixed up now. All I want is for my scan printer to work with my new pc.  Everything works well except that scan thing, may help me understand what to do?:  Thank you

all fixed. has crossed my computer to start then click HP click HP and open list. Went to my printer-clicked on my printer and clicked on the icon list to see if it worked correctly. This is a problem with the drivers and a box popped up with directions on where and how to download and install the devices for windows 7.
Done this and tested it and everything works fine now. (Ihad already tried the HP site for support and downloaded and installed the fix suggested for the problem, but it did not work). in any case, its fixed and I hope that if someone has a problem, this information will help you.
