  big noob here, so grateful for any help.

  I wanted 4520 2 months and it has worked fine until 2 weeks ago when I changed my internet provider.

  I used the wireless Assistant to change the wifi on the printer and I've updated the last settings. I went as well

  I can scan and send the scans of envy to my macbook air. When I go into the settings of the printer and do a test print, it works.

  However, I was not able to print anything at all. It queued up on top of the pop up list printers (computer is noted inactive) and basiclly anything happen.

  

  No idea what I need to do?

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

  I see that you have some problems with your machine Mac OSX 10.11 to your craving 4520 e printing - all - in - one printer. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. Close any programs you have open.
  2. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
  3. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
  4. Click on reset printing system.
  5. Click on the button "+" at the bottom left.
  6. Select your printer from the list.
  7. Click in the box next to and select your printer from the list.
  8. Click on Add.

  I see you are trying to change the color of ink to your wish 4520 e - all - in - default printer. I can help you with that, but I do not understand what you are referring to.

  Are you trying to force the printer to print in black only? If this is the case then the 4520 enviously you can remove the color of the printer cartridge. That will force the printer to print something that must be in color and black.

  If you try to print a document on your Macintosh and it is the impression of a different color, then you can fix this by doing the following:

  1. On your Mac, click the icon of your Apple, go to System Preferences and printers and Scanners.
  2. Hold down the command key and click the picture of the printer on the left side.
  3. Click on reset printing system.
  4. Click on the button "+" in the lower left corner of the screen.
  5. Select your printer from the list.
  6. In the box next to click on Airprint and then select your printer.
  7. Click on Add.
  8. Try to print.

  This should allow you to print black on your Mac.

• want to 4520: software will not load setup

  I try to run the setup software for an AiO 4520 ENVY, on a Win10.0.10586 64 - bit OS.

  The wizard starts and I get to the first page "ready to set up your printer? ... «Click on continue to set up your printer...» ».  But there is no button continue.  In fact, there is no hyperlinks or buttons of all kinds.  I clicked on all the objects on the screen, and no action happens.

  There is a bar at the top of the screen, it is only about 5% of blue color and no progress, as if a process was monitored, but stopped.  The Task Manager shows HP EasyStart in 46.8 MB memory, but not CPU.

  I tried to run both directly on the site (123.hp.com/setup) and download and save it to the desktop - the same results either way.  I'm completely stumped - suggestions?

  BTW, I got the printer works by a combination of poking around to get put wifi in place and by installing the remote printing software since the MS Store.  But the features are very limited - I would like to get a complete installation.

  Scan of the computer means "scan a document and send it to my computer.

  You will need to install the FULL features software and activate it before you can use.

  How to scan to computer

  Once you have installed the software:

  1. click the printer (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP printer Assistant.
  2. in the menu analyze, there is a 'manage Scan to Computer', click on that.
  3 make sure you have "Enable" Scan of the computer. Also, make sure that the tab "automatically start Scan of the computer when I connect Windows" is checked if you want to perpetuate this feature. (the following video will show you how)

  Short answer is then dragging to the desired location in the file system and drop them. Paolos add-on will do the job as well, but it is not really necessary.

  Well, it is good that you got SR works again.  When you reinstall, SR deletes all old PHI so things work as expected.

  If SR was quite broken you need to reinstall, it was really broken and sometimes malware will do things like that to make you believe that you need to use a Restore Point, perform a repair installation, or drop and completely reinstall your XP if you really never.

  Once you get an infection, it is sometimes a good idea just to hit all the old restore in any case Points in case the infection got inside of them, then make a new brand that you know is clean.

  If you have an infection, it seems that CA to disappoint you, but no anti software does seem to know about everything, it is so good to have more than one.

  The free MBAM and SAS are scanners of respectable, good, without real time (right now).  SAS can find a whole lot of tracking cookies, but I would still use it.

  Hi lake1998,

  When you save a document format, you are talking about OCR or optical character recognition.  The 3512 Deskjet will allow you to save the files analyzed in the formats listed, but it doesn't have a built in OCR.
