  • What version of developer costume oracle is compatible with windows 7 32 bit

    Can you get it someone please let me know what version of Oracle Developer suite is compatible with windows 7(32 bit). And please tell me the link where I can download this. I want to download this software to make the practices of Oracle Forms and reports by installing it on my PC.

    I had downloaded ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1.zip from the site of the Oracle, but during the installation it show the error msg in the newspaper as -

    Please give me a solution for this-

    You can do more complicated it must be.

    In forms and reports Oracle Home, you will have a tnsnames.ora (ORACLE_HOME\NETWORK\ADMIN). If it's the file you changed, I would recommend cancelling all changes. Then simply copy and paste the entry from the db entries. So in you case put this in the file tnsnames.ora forms/States:

    ORCL1 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = USER-PC)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = orcl1)
    )
    )

    It may be necessary to change the 'USER-PC' above to the IP address or the loopback address (127.0.0.1).

    In the forms/States sqlnet.ora file make this change:

    From:

    NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (LDAP, TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT, ONAMES, HOSTNAME)

    REPLACE:
    NAMES. DIRECTORY_PATH = (TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT, ONAMES, HOSTNAME, LDAP)

    The same concept is true for version 11 forms/States

  • Performance problems on Oracle 11 G with Windows 2008 64 bit.

    Hello world

    I noticed that our database is going bad and low every week. My server has 16 GB of RAM and 10 GB are dedicated to the database Oracle, it is a 11.2.0.1 with Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64 bit. I would like to know according to the values of the movement following you guys recommend to adjust in the init.ora:

    ORCL.__db_cache_size = 5402263552
    ORCL.__java_pool_size = 33554432
    ORCL.__large_pool_size = 33554432
    ORCL.__pga_aggregate_target = 3657433088
    ORCL.__sga_target = 6878658560
    ORCL.__shared_io_pool_size = 0
    ORCL.__shared_pool_size = 1308622848
    ORCL.__streams_pool_size = 33554432

    * .memory_target = 10511974400
    * .open_cursors = 5000

    * .optimizer_mode = "RULE".
    * runoff = 300

    According to the target memory on how values can be increased the process, pga_agregate_target, etc.

    We also have problems with the bug Bug 9593134 "connection to Oracle 11 g are slow and can take anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes." there is a difficulty on linux by removing dns names on this subject, but someone has experience on windows platforms?

    Thanks to all and sorry for my English.

    Kind regards.

    Arturo.

    Concerning the long connection times, have you tried to use the network (such as Wireshark) packet capture software to determine that the client computer when a connection attempt is initiated?

    The Oracle database time can help the model statistics and wait events extensive system you diagnose performance problems related to poor (you should not only look at the statistics, but rather capture the current values, wait a while, statistics capture again and compare the evolution of the values of the statistics). A statspack report may also help - but a trace 10046 to level 8 or 12 is more appropriate if you are able to identify a few sessions that have performance problems.

    I claim not just blindly changing the settings, even if I'm curious about:
    * Why the session level setting OPEN_CURSORS is set to 5000 - you expect a single session to hold cursors open 5,000?
    * Why do you use the obsolete RULE based optimizer?
    * Why the MEMORY_TARGET parameter is used when the target SGA_TARGET and PGA_AGGREGATE are specified?

  • Oracle 10g works with Windows 7?

    Hi all

    I use windows 7 ultimate 32-bit edition. fact oracle reports 10 g & 10g and work with that? Please tell me.

    Are you asking if it is certified (i.e. If Oracle has tested and verified that it works)? Or you ask there is an unsupported configuration coming to work (more or less)?

    Oracle has not certified any available version of Oracle on Windows 7. It is expected that 11.2 will be certified on Windows 7. Therefore, it is not a supported configuration. Now, it is quite possible that it could be installed and can work quite well. But I think that some things would not work - if those are features you happen to use, however, is a different matter.

  • A product that needs Windows XP SP3 + will be compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium

    I have Windows 7 Home Premium and I want to buy a product of heart Math that says Windows XP XP3 +.
    What I need to be upgraded or it would be compatible?

    Windows 7 has a feature of executing programs that are compatible with a previous version of Windows. If you have Windows 7, then you can run programs that are compatible with the following versions of Windows: -.

    1. Windows 95
    2. Windows 98/Windows Me
    3. Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5)
    4. Windows 2000
    5. Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
    6. Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
    7. Windows Server 2003 (Service Pack 1)
    8. Windows Server 2008 (Service Pack 1)
    9. Windows Vista
    10. Windows Vista (Service Pack 1)
    11. Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)
    12. Windows 7 (obviously)
    In your case, you want to run a program that is compatible with Windows XP (Service Pack 3) , then I don't think there should be a problem to do so. Is there a programs on Windows 7 Compatibility Wizard, which helps you run programs that are compatible with a previous version of Windows. You can follow the following steps to run the program compatibility Wizard.
    1. Open the program compatibility Wizard by clicking the start , clicking Control Panel, clicking programs and then click on use an older program with this version of Windows.

    2. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

    If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation for the program and, using the wizard disk, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The wizard is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

    To change compatibility settings manually for a program, right-click the program icon, click Properties, and then click the Compatibility tab.

  • OpenOffice is compatible with Windows 8?

    Hello. I got a new laptop with Windows 8 about this yesterday, and I have not bought Microsoft Word yet, if I want to use in the meantime OpenOffice. First I tried to download it from the Windows store, but they didn't. So I went on my desktop and tried to download it. It works fine until I have take the step of configuration file, then the progress bar goes up and it says I have to wait 0 seconds, but it gets stuck here and don't move to the next step. Simply, it is as if she has not yet loaded. So, the OpenOffice is compatible with Windows 8? If so, can you help me with installation? If this is not the case, can you recommend another processor free word that works well and is compatible with Windows 8? If you can, it would be great.

    Note: in case this helps, my laptop is a HP. In addition, it was the model of display in the store, so I don't know if that would have anything to do with him... anyway, if you can help me, that would be great. Thank you, goodbye.

    Development of OpenOffice has been in limbo since Oracle took over it. Many developers help he fork and started on a new modern series which is compatible with Windows 8, called desktop free:
