My thought is that it's either the Windows code is corrupted or is a hardware failure.  While I am not positive, I feel that it occurs when Internet Explorer is used.   System Restore is not enabled on this computer, so this isn't an option.  Can someone help me understand this means and how I could fix this?  I know that will later Windows version can solve it, but this isn't the answer I'm looking for.  Thank you

Attempt to initialize the network is not a 'possible', it is certain that your PC is doing exactly this depending on your BIOS settings. In addition, she tries the network initialization after already trying to start on an optical disc. The two attempts at device boot doesn't have, in all likelihood after having already failed the boot from the hard drive. There is no message to indicate than an attempt to boot to the hard drive, or he leaves the screen too fast to see you or you did not save it in your original post.

My advice on the diagnosis is based on the studied the real model of your PC, not generic advice for all Dell PC with Vista installed.

    1. Your computer has already finished POST (Power O n Self TEST) otherwise you wouldn't see any attempt to start at all.
    2. You've already provided specific error messages.
    3. I have already advised the best and most approriate diagnostics for your PC.
    4. Your PC will not start in any mode if it becomes a default 'hard', rather than the intermittent fault means your original message. Start in any mode, you can and make a backup as soon as possible.
    5. Unless these recent changes include adjustments to the BIOS settings, they are irrelevant, that he is a boot failure which can be caused by anything done under Vista.
    6. Removing the external devices is never a bad step of troubleshooting if you encounter problems. I doubt it will help in this instance, but it will not hurt to try, especially if they are peripheral bootable.
    7. Startup Repair will not solve a hardware problem (by far the most likley scenario).
    8. System Restore is not usable unless you can actually start to Vista and it's never going to treat problems of material.
    9. IMO, this is not a software issue. See also point 4.
    10. If you have a hard drive failure, it is not recommended to try to reinstall the operating system. First of all prove that the hard drive is OK as advised before trying to re-setup. In addition, if you can, back up your data before reinstalling the operating system. In all likelihood, that's what you have to do but for a hard drive replacement.

I repeat that a failing or failed hard drive is the most likely scenario. Other more distant possibilities include

    • A failed or failing disk controller (almost certainly on the motherboard)
    • Boot from the hard drive is disabled in the BIOS (highly unlikely if this anomaly is intermittent)
    • Some sort of weird for the failure of the BIOS
    • Option 3 mentioned in the previous post (unlikely unless your PC has been internally inspected/modified or subject to vibration displacement/hitting more/remove etc..)

  • The DB issue patch of the CARS from 10201 to 10205

    Hello

I have the task to patch a CCR environment from 10201 to 10205 on linux x86_64, according to the README file for the patch (#8202632), I first apply the patch

    1.Clusterware.
    Database 2.Oracle homes.

I'm kinda new to patching RAC databases, I wanted just a confirmation that the database (even if the ORACLE_HOME is not shared and local on each node) patch is not a rolling patch. *. The README indicates
    .
    .
Close all Oracle RAC instances on the nodes, which range from the House of Oracle on which you will apply the patch set. To stop all Oracle RAC instances for a database, type the following command where db_name is the name of the database:

    * $ srvctl stop database db_name d *.
    .
    .

The above command will disable the databases on all nodes, so this isn't a rolling upgrade and the database must be facing downwards, so that end users should be informed before patching there is a downtime involved.

No confirmation of the people who have done this will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you
    C.

    Hello

    For clusterware we rolling patch.
    -apply the clusterware 10.2.0.5
-Follow the instructions at the end of the installation

for the patch may not not be database upgrade means database must be down

    See you soon

  • Calling Custom Page from the advance line table

    Hello

    My need is,

    Advance in Standard page table.

I need to add the column to the table of the advance and the column will be a link that is mean picture that calls the Custom Page.

Once I select the line using RadioButton and click on the Image, the custom page name and

I want to move the page setting custom Standard

    How to get there?

I hope that you will have my need.

    Thanx

Create the column through customization on the Page Std and the bean of the image, set the destination as URL:

    Code snippet

    OA.jsp?page=//oracle/apps/ak/employee/webui/EmpDetailsPG&employeeNumber={@EmployeeId}

At runtime, the OA Framework substitutes the current row's view instance attribute values for the tokens inside the curly braces. So, for example, &employeeNumber={@EmployeeId} becomes &emloyeeNumber=1234.

    Thank you

  • Does not access my shared folders on the computer windows 7 from my xp pro laptop

I have an operating system windows 7 on my main pc and xp pro on my laptop. When I try to access the files on my main pc (windows 7) from my xp pro laptop wonder a user name and password. Yet when I do it the other way round I have full access to any password ect. I have set no password and tried my home group password but not yet all joy. I have 2 other laptops, both running windows 7 and no network problem between all windows systems 7. all computers are running norton firewall and are configered the same.

Would love a fix that makes me NUTS!

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You do not use the homegroup unless you have all Windows 7 machines . Windows 7 network type should be 'Home' or 'Work', not 'public '. In sharing advanced:

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, turning on window file sharing and printer as the above will take care of that for you. In XP, you can run the Network Setup Wizard or just enable file sharing / print in the Windows XP firewall exceptions. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

XP - set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) -http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. In Windows 7 I usually share the Desktop of the user and the Public directory.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but that is beyond the scope of this answer.

This is a scam and that is becoming more and more common lately. But
worse, if you leave them in your computer, which knows what losses are that they
done there, or what confidential information they stole.

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
    immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
    2. change all of your passwords, especially banks or other
    financial sites.

No! It is not without danger.

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.
