  Hello. I use picasa to organize and basic editing and photoshop for the mounting of heavier. more often I find myself using "fill light" in picasa, and then save the changes and then re-opening the peak more editing with photoshop, a process that sacrifices picture quality more then it should, due to the reopening. I tried to find the equivalent functionality to 'fill light' in photoshop, but the closest I got is the gamma correction, which is a little, but fades the colors. 'fill light' did the same while keeping the living color. suggestions that function/combo to use in photoshop in order to achieve the same effect as picasa "fill light"?

  The new tools are in the 'Base' of the Module Panel prepare for 2012 process. There are separate tools for adjustment of lights, of whites, blacks and shadows. This allows you to bring out more details and color photos was impossible in 2010 to process. In addition, the clarity slider has been "rejiggered" (that's a technical term) to be more powerful, and produces much better results, in my opinion (and the opinion of others).

  Forum Member Rob Cole wrote this very useful description of how he edits the photos in the new 2012 process (even if it says Lr4b1, it applies to all LR4). It is perhaps "too early" for someone who comes to see 2012 process today for the first time, but as I said, its worth the effort to learn. I returned to many of my pictures earlier and reissued in 2012 process and I love the results!

  I was very disappointed when I pulled the high LR4 last night.  This new slider shadows turned horribly pale compared to the fill light.  Frankly, it's a chicken!  For me, the fill light was magical.  I can't tell you how many people ask "How do you have that" when they looked at my photos hanging on the wall.  It is a perfect tool and one that made LR stand out.  Not only it meet its destination to add just this amount of shift of the filling, it's also an extremely effective way to produce a Pseudo edgy, HDR, effect. I hope that curves near the same results, but there is no way it will be as simple and reproducible. I got kick for not trying the bata version before paying the $69 upgade (Fortunately it wasn't $150). If I can't understand this point, I'm heading to LR3. Others don't miss Fill Light as I do?

  Just like to do my origianl announcement: I sat with LR4 and specifically challenged PV2012 to allow me to recreate the effect in the Chicogo pic I posted above.  I am happy to say that I'm pretty close to my satifiaction. I did it by maxing out shadows, cranking up the exhibition, slightly increase Black, clarity and finally uping numbering vibrance. Incidentally, I noticed that with PV2012, increase clarity flies at a much higher color saturation, therefore him using saturation and vibrance.

  Note: I have to say, it was very easy to switch between PV2010 and PV2012. and I was happy to see that when you click on a given image, LR4 automatically changes the mode to match this use to create the image.  In other words, if today you need to change an image using PV2010 and the other with PV2012, LR4 remembers mode that was used and automatically switch to it when one of the images is selected. It is very slippery!

  What is the manufacturer, brand and model number accurate and complete from your computer?  What is the manufacturer, the brand and model of your keyboard?  We can not help you without more information on your specific computer.

  If you want to go faster, simply contact the Group technical support from the manufacturer of the computer or go to their support site and ask them or look for this issue.  If you provide us with the above information, we will go to their website and see if we can find the instructions (if we can) – and they will be able to do it faster and better than we can.  The choice is yours.

  When you type information in a form in the DC or Pro Player I can enter text with fields of text etc and then save, close and return later to change the form. However once I use the function "Fill & Sign" to sign the document, and then save, it locks the file and all other fields become editable. Is there a way around this to remove this feature where it becomes locked and instead allows me to change the form after a signature is applied and saved. All the security properties of the form are on 'admitted', there is no restriction. Even though the document is locked all the properties remain still as 'authorized '.

  The signing is FINAL.  You cannot sign a PDF paper advance. Complete and save, do not sign.

  I've recently switched to PSE PSE 8 13.  I find all the same features of the old software except one: there seems to be no option of lighting in PSE 13 effects as there was in PSE 8.  I mean the function that allows you to illuminate or darken portions of image by adjusting the location of a light source illuminates the image.  I think that option was referred to as "Lighting" PSE 8 and has been found, I believe, under the 'render' (or perhaps under 'style') option under "filters".

  Unfortunately no, pse 13 has no way to disable the app framework so you can see your desktop.

  That was removed starting with photoshop elements 11.

  I work on a page dashboard of exploration down and have been a problem when I try to fill a Page of text (hidden or not) element using javascript built in function $s.
  The feature works very well when the data is a number such as dept_id (even if the field type is varchar type). However, trying to pass what is a text the process fails, unless a value is hardcoded as parameter to the function. So, for example, I have a table with constituents by State counties. I would like to fill out (filter) a table based on when you click a bar for a State without having to submit the page. I use dynamic actions and built in javascript function in the SQL code for the graph to achieve; But even once, it works fine when I use a field varchar as the FIPS code (FIPS for Texas is "48"), but when I try to fill the page element by using the abbreviation of the State "TX" (new varchar), it fails.

  In your javascript that you generate, surround your value with quotes and it will then should always work with the numbers and strings (your channels are probably interpreted as variable names and that they do not exist when running, so slip out).

  I use Norton 360 institutions and would allow the two Add-ons of Norton (see below) when I upgraded to Firefox 8.0:

  • Norton Toolbar 2011.7.3.6; and
  • Symantec IPS 3.2.

  In your case, since you have used before, add-ons can still be installed, you should just allow them, as if I had to do. 8.0 Firefox automatically disables modules.

  To see if the modules above are still installed, you can:

  • go to \Firefox\Add-ons;
  • Click Extensions;

  .. .and you should find them there. If this isn't the case, you need to install. You can use the links that Daniel and the-edmeister provided above.

  I've created a DLL in LabWindows with a function and structure.  I want to call the function from LabView and then access the overall structure.  I am able to call the function in the DLL with a "call library function node" and has access to the return value, but I can't understand how to access the overall structure.  The structure is declared in the header DLL with __declspec (dllimport) struct parameters file.

  Is it possible to access this structure without using the library of network variables?

  My guess is that you need two bytes of padding after "in_out" and another to two bytes of padding after "anin."  The reason being that ints are 4 bytes, and most of them C compilers will align on 4-byte boundaries.  The struct will naturally start to such a limit (in fact, in Windows, it will probably start to an 8 byte boundary).  If you then count bytes in your structure, you are 70 byte after "in_out."  70 is not divisible by 4, so you need 2 bytes more to reach the next 4 byte boundary.  You can also you could reorganize your struct so that "anin" follows "in_out" and this is probably the best option if it won't cause you other problems.

  Unlike most C compilers, LabVIEW compressed structures as closely as possible, without filling.  I don't know enough about the history of LabVIEW and internal parts to explain the reasons and to do this performance penalty, but, as choice of LabVIEW "endianness", it is probably a remnant of the first versions of LabVIEW that were running on the Mac.

  If for some reason you want to force your C struct to match package LabVIEW, you can use the #pragma pack (x) directive, but I wouldn't recommend that here because you can control the C and LabVIEW.

  EDIT: in the cases where it was not clear, add padding to your cluster of LabVIEW, insert appropriate size or items at the place desired in the cluster.

  So maybe I'm doing something wrong while typing. When I am typing in a box like that or Skype or MSN or a contact form used by companies to ask the question while typing the letters change in capitals and stops function entry when I hit enter the entire section is turned blue.

  Enter the function stops completely in the form and I have to restart the computer because it affects now all entries and try to fill in the form again. Most of the time the second time, it will work. Before that I use Mozilla, but because it is not applicable for the 64 bit, now I use Chrome.

  The sample code referred to in these messages contains references to the function 'GetElqGroupMembershipStatus', I have not been able to find in any of Eloqua documents, followed by the scripts or responses from Web data sources.

  When this function is defined? Is it defined by Eloqua or is a user-defined function?

  If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
