  In each draw, the printhead (element used for 'jet' of ink on paper) will heat up.  As the ink through the print head nozzles, it will cool the printhead and the cycle repeats with each pass.  When the print head try to draw ink in an empty tank, it does not cool the print head and can cause damage or clogging of the nozzles.

  To remove the highlight clipping, you really want to work with exposure and recovery. Always try exhibition first, because he controls more precisely the white clipping point.
