Is there a downside to clear all cookies?

My computer seems to be running slow, so I want to clear my cookies all and my cache. I'm likely to encounter problems or unwanted changes if I do this?

Clear cookies will delete all saved customizations that you made to a Web site.
An example are the preferences of Google on the Google search settings page.
In addition, the choice to make a Web site remember you and you automatically connect to each visit is saved in a cookie.

You can also try to clear the history, because a great story can also cause a slow response (Firefox should check the history, if you click on a link).

  • Clear recent history + cookies clears all cookies, including those on the list of exceptions - bug or feature?

I have several sites on the list of the persons authorized to keep the cookies always (options, privacy, cookies, exceptions). When I use "clear recent history" and check the cookies, the cookies are deleted, including those on the allowed list. Maybe it's a feature rather than a bug, but I much prefer it if cookies excepted were excluded.

This is how it works. Using clear recent history clears all specified cookies and does not exclude cookies that have an exception permit. If you want to keep a few cookies then you should avoid using CRH to clear the cookies and delete unwanted cookies in the Cookie Manager or they expire when you close Firefox. In this way you keep the cookies with an exception permit.

  • Is there a way to clear all event listeners, to stop all the video clips, etc.?

Is there a syntax for that?

I have a movie that has 15 images. Each image has integrated video clips in video clips, tons of entertainment and event listeners. None is needed except when they are on the scene, on the frame. However, the animations continue even when the frame is left.

For example, I have a framework that shows a rendered animation dynamically the leaves that fall from the tree. When the frame is left, the leaves continue to decline.

There are many cases of this kind of thing happens.

Ideally, I'd like to just be able to erase everything when a new image is loaded, since no animations or postponed event from one image to the other listeners.

Is it possible to do it without the thousands of lines of code it would take to manually remove all single animation and event listener and sounds, etc., of the scene?

    Thank you very much!

    You must do it manually.

or, you can convert each image into a swf file.  load each swf when necessary and, if you're publishing to fp 10 +, you can apply unloadAndStop() to kill all the flows in the SWF loaded and ready these assets to gc.

Updated to iOS 10 and all is well.  The LockScreen, I try to find a way to remove all notifications with a single gesture.  In the Notification Center, there is now a "clear all Notifications," which is great.  However, I would like to clear all notifications without unlocking the phone.  As I see now, I have to drag every individual notification, and then press clear.  It is a pain, especially if there are a bunch of notifications.  Thanks for any help someone can offer.

I killed Firefox (something I do frequently, followed by SESSION RESTORE) so, no, I never left the GAME. But if THAT is not automatically connect u - this will be?

The history of session file stores session cookies. If cookies for HTTPS sites are available depend on your settings and if Firefox through a clean shutdown.

    Assuming that Firefox normally stops:

    • If you have Firefox configured to start with your windows and tabs from your previous session, cookies for HTTPS sites are stored in the file. This provides the most seamless experience.
    • If you have configured to start with a blank tab or the Firefox homepage, cookies for HTTPS sites are removed from the file. Because you will not necessarily restore perfect, it offers greater security.

But in an accident, there is no cleaning of the judgment.

To block Firefox to save cookies to HTTPS sites in the historic session file, you can try to change a setting here (I say try because that in an accident scenario, you still may be these cookies in the file, I have not tested):

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste sess and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.sessionstore.privacy_level and change from 0 to 1 (zero records HTTP and HTTPS, 1 saves only the HTTP protocol when you close Firefox).

  • have 8 GB of ram, but seems like all cached then run IE9 makes so slowly. Is there a way to clear the cache

have hp computer with 8 GB of RAM running on vista 64-bit and see lately all put physical memory cached in the Manager of tasks with almost no free left.

is there a way to clear the cache?

    Thanks in advance

The value specified in the 'Cache' in the Task Manager includes more than the real system file cache. In particular, it includes the pending list. There are programs and files that have been previously referenced and the Windows file previously read. The waiting list pages can be reused immediately if an application requires more memory. There is an article with the definitions of the terms used and an introduction to the management of memory here:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ntdebugging/archive/2007/10/10/the-memory-shell-game.aspx

To see your use of memory more in detail, download and run Process Explorer from here:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653

Go to view > system information. (or Ctrl + i). Select the memory tab and view the information in the left column under Commit Charge and physical memory.

To better answer your question, please provide the following details.

    • Describe in more detail what you mean by Internet Explorer is slow.
    • Being of other applications of runs slowly or only Internet Explorer?
    • How many tabs you have open and how many other applications is running when Internet Explorer is running slowly?
    • You are running Internet Explorer 32-bit or 64-bit? See this article to know that if you do not know: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2009/05/29/q-a-64-bit-internet-explorer.aspx

    Using Firefox 27.0.1

I tested it, and only the cookies that show in the result window are deleted if you click on delete all Cookies.

Clear the search bar through the icon on the far right, showed that other cookies are still there.

Note that it is generally safer select all cookies that you want to delete and press the DELETE key or click Remove Cookies to avoid deleting all cookies.

That the opt-out cookies are added by the extension TACO.

You can only if you disable or uninstall TACO.

Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt - Out (TACO): https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/11073

TACO with Abine prevents displaying highly targeted advertisements using the detailed information about your habits of web surfing more of 100 different online advertising networks (including Google, Microsoft and Yahoo). TACO disables most behavioral advertising by setting 100 + permanent, generic and non personally identifiable "opt-out" cookies directly in the browser.

Unlike other opt-out solutions, this tool will make the persistent opt-out cookies completely. In other words, clear the browser cookies will delete all other installed cookies, except them.

  • Remove all Cookies button does not. What is happening with Firefox? Nothing seems to work now.

I wanted to just get rid of all cookies. Press the button. Nothing happens.

Dialog, clear the cache, I guess you're talking under options, privacy, delete cookies, delete all the -? Curiously, this time when I went to follow the path of return, I clicked on the button and it worked. Go figure.

Where is the way of permissions to do the same thing also? Thank you.

  • I delete all cookies. Irepeat tools/options/life private / show cookies. they all return

I click on tools/options/privacy / show cookies. I delete all cookies and click on OK.
I repeat the process to display the cookies. They're all here.
Also I can not delete single cookies

You may have installed an extension like TACO (Abine) or do not Track Plus that manages a set of OPT-OUT cookies if you can't delete cookies permanently.

In this case, you will need to uninstall the extension to remove the opt-out cookies.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

If clearing cookies doesn't work, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other files to present as cookie cookies.sqlite - journal in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

    Hello

After that you have the add-on Cleary installed, you open Firefox and then drag left to and tap the gear down button on the right.

Preferences will be open and there should be a clear private data point. When you type, you will see four buttons (I think it comes to the details section that Verdi was referring in its response) and it will erase your passwords.

    Thank you

For some sites that I visit on a daily basis, it's a pain to have to sign in each time. (e.g., Zap2it, which provides TV listings in your area). However, I like defining the Tools/Options/life private to keep all cookies until I close Firefox. I wish I could set up Firefox so that all witnesses would be removed EXCEPT those to which I have. If I could do this, I don't have to log in each time.

You cannot use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox if you want to keep specific cookies by setting an exception.
"Clear recent history" is all or nothing.

You can leave the cookies expire if you close Firefox if you need to keep specific cookies.
Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "Keep until the": "closing of Firefox".
