I hope someone can help here?

I have a desktop HP Pavilion p6-2054uk (Windows 7 64 bit - i5, 3.00 Ghz - 6 GB of RAM) that I bought in 2012 and especially use of HP products.

By starting my PC the other day, it will not start and crashes on the HP splash screen. When you press ESC, F10 and F1 and F8, it simply changes the screen to a black screen with 7 lines of text giving the details of my PC base on this subject. It should give me other optins at this stage, but does not work.

The HP Pavilion p6-2054uk hard drive does not start even another hard drive OS I've tried from another computer with Windows 7 64 bit on it. Troubleshooting a few others, I even tried a fresh new hard drive in it with a new copy of Windows 7 64 bit to install into the CD Rom and it will not yet go through the HP start - that is abnormal screen since usually, it detects the Windows CD and install. Furthermore, fans in the PC work normal, as the eject the power of the PC CD ROM light is on too. I tried all the three available inside power cables and tried diferent nine cables sata/data and another monitor entry too, all to nothing done.

The hard drive that was in the HP Pavilion p6-2054uk when he stopped to start up is fully accessible when placed in the other machine I have. Therefore, it is still operational.

The notable thing only I did in the days before it were installing Adobe Creative Suite 6 but I do not think that it would cause a major problem like this, noting also that another hard disk OS (without Creative Suite 6 is installed) and a new facility wouldn't start either. Therefore, I am afraid a harware issue any.

What could be going on here?

Side for the second or 2 of optimism about the usual boot the PC normally makes noises, it looks like he died immediately after, suspended on the HP screen.

    Thanks in advance.

    R.

  • problem installing sata 2 under Pavilion a6720f

I just bought the new a6720f with Windows Home Premium 64-bit.

I want to transfer a SATA Western Digital 250 GB that I used for the data on an old computer. When I install the drive, it causes the Western Digital sata boot original hard drive started clicking. The old data disc has a sata cable and its design forces me to use a legacy power connection, although there is no power anyway free sata cable.

This disc has data only, and I don't see what I need to change in the BIOS.

    What happens here?

Unfortunately, you are right. I reinstalled the drive in the original machine and he died. I could not believe it, but the old drive never survived the transplantation procedure.

  • Number of ports SATA on a Pavilion Elite 9250t

How many hard drives SATA internal can be run in a Pavilion Elite 9250 t?

I'm not worried about the power from one of the disks will be in the solid state. The machine has enough ports SATA internal to run 3 hard disks without disconnecting the optical drive?

    Brandon

    Brandon,

Here are the specifications of the motherboard.  Look in the lower right corner; two sata ports are vertical and two sata ports are horizontal.

Yes, you can run three hard drives.  You could install the third disc by using a 5.25 to 2.5 (3.5) support in the open optical Bay.

  • Anci SATA for HP Pavilion dv6-1230us controller driver.

I need driver Intel Sata Controller Anci (I want to install windows 7) for HP Pavilion dv6-1230us.

    Hello

If you can still access Windows, please go to your device manager. Click on the pointer little next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and display the name of your controller SATA ACHI.

I think that according to the manual, it takes the ICH 9 M.

Here is the link to the drivers: you must select the 32 or 64 bit version as appropriate.

Copy them to a USB FlashDrive as you see them. Do not put them in a folder. That plug into a USB port. Start the PC and press F6 to load the sata driver or if the installation asks you for this you will need to use your Up / Dn arrows on your keyboard and select the Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller.

Please note that it may not be initially visible in the list of drivers on your screen, this is why you must use the arrow keys to find. Once you, just select it and press on enter and hope that your installation will continue.

  • need XP SATA drivers for Pavilion dv5000

    Hello

Try to install XP on a DV5000 and I need SATA drivers that I can put on a CD, if I can use the F6 (additional drivers)

    XP installation process.

    Thanx

    Hello:

If you have a processor intel, you will need to download the drivers from the link below. Select the second download link for XP 32-bit.

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=20625&keyword=F6&lang=eng

I don't think you can use a CD. I think they must be placed on a USB FDD, but if you know that they will appear on a CD when you hit the F6 key, go ahead.

The pilot, you need to scroll using the Up/down keys and then select is the Intel(r) ICH7M/MDH SATA AHCI Controller.

From October 2016, Costco sells a XPS 8900, i7, 16 GB, GeForce GTX745 PC.  Is the motherboard in this PC has a connector SATA 3 that I can use for one SSD SATA I already have?

Yes.The 8900 has five SATA ports on the motherboard and the power cables in support of three hard drives and two optical drives.

  • SATA support HP Pavilion a1250n - quick question

Hi, I know that this subject has been beaten to death, but I just need some clarification.

Background: 3 weeks ago embedded graphics are out of this office and we initially dropped on it and started peicing outside. Having obtained a free pci-e graphics card, we changed management and reassemble the thing with the new graphics card and power supply.

Problem: With everything together, including same Sata 250 GB WD HD, Windows XP Pro Setup program does not recognize any HD.

Checked Bios - no registration for car either.

    BIOS is Phoenix Award seen here - http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07110: 3 & lc = en & dlc = en & cc = us

Tested by car - can be mounted on another computer.

Tested with another WD 500 GB of disk - no change.

Even tried jumpers on pins 5 & 6 - no change.

MOBO appears to imitate the IDE compatible mode. Pressing F6 to show all the guests (not sure if this applies only if XP is installed.)

Worked 3 weeks ago now I'm stumped.

    MOBO is the AmethystM-GL6E.

Specifications of the computer can be found here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00485646

We need to integrate the update of the Bios? listed here:

Do not have the HP recovery disks - those would be an easier option?

Or are we missing something altogether?

    Appreciate any assistance.

    Thanks in advance.

Not exactly. I come to the conclusion through some random troubleshooting that the SATA ports are probably fried the Board of Directors.

After you connect a HD IDE and install of XP, I connected a CD/DVD drive of work known to the SATA ports and tested. The drive opens and closes, but neither XP, the Bios or Ultimate Boot CD could detect it.

From my experience, it is not too difficult to get a CD drive, you have correct drivers installed or not. We tested the two SATA ports on the map - no dice.

I guess that the embedded graphics are not the only things that died on the MOBO. We always connecting the IDE ports, but it is slower and seems to have some difficulty to wake from sleep.

    MOBO is definitely endangered.

I found some new boards on ebay and a few other places, but the cost was too prohibitive.

Overall, it was a lot easier to test with a CD player, only trying to wake of the bios and the location of some elusive SATA drivers that would work.

    Good luck.

  • is it possible to upgrade graphics with HP Pavilion p6-2054uk?

I recently bought a Radeon HD7870 VTX3D carton graphics card and as advised also bought a diet with more power. Corsair 750W.

I tried for a few months now to try to get this card to work but for the life of me I can't do it, I even gave and held a computer store with no luck. There no option in the bios to change the video out to PCI - E, which seems to be the only way to activate the map

It is even possible to update the graphics on this machine?

    Thanks in advance, Lewis

    Hi Lewi_s:

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that you improve to 750W PSU and install a HD7870 card, and it does not work.  I send you a link to "AMD Radeon™ HD 7870 GHz edition  click here.» Here are the specifications of your computer, click here. Here are the specs of your motherboard, click here.    If you will notice the card requires a PCi Express 3.0 x 16 and you have expansion Slots:

    1 PCI Express x 16 (Gen2.0),

    3 PCI Express x 1 (Gen2.0)

    1 PCI Express Mini Card

If you notice that you do not have a slot PCI Express 3.0 x 16, and therefore it is unreadable by your computer.

    I hope this has helped.

  • The Pavilion dv9700t there SATA or SATA II?

I have a Pavilion dv9700t CTO entertainment notebook.  I can't find the specs anywhere.  Is there a SATA or SATA II controller?

    Thanks in advance.

    Lloyd

    Hi LLoyd,

Go to the Intel website and download the technology Intel rapid storage (TSRI) 9.6 software version. Install the software and then restart. You can then launch the IRST from the menu programs. After the FIRST window opens, you will see on the right sata devices.  Click your hard disk, and then select Advanced. You should see the SATA Transfer Mode. 2nd generation is sata 2. Native Command Queuing = yes is another feature sata 2.

  • Is there a method of charging for a Pavilion laptop

As above. Is there a setting on my Pavilion laptop to turn on the fast charge? Model # G6R42UA # ABL

    Hello

No, normally use the power charger will charge a battery faster but the rules of Physics: this will kill the battery more quickly.

  • You want to add additional SATA hard disks to the Pavilion p6310y...

This model looks like it should be particularly conducive to the welcoming the addition of another or even a third hard drive. Why then when I open it there only SATA for the master and all the other connectors coming out of food are these old things of molex 4 pin?  I find it quite confusing because the hard drive, I am trying to add came out of my last HP (older)... but it is SATA, and even the old model had at least a SATA connection available for the slave. This computer is brand new... buy adapters do expect?

Thanks in advance for anyone to help.

Your model came with a significant (1 terabyte) hard drive. One option is to make another partition on the disk through the disk manager. You can add a card pci or pcie x 1 sata controller to do more SATA ports available.  There Iadapters PSU ndependent ($ 3.00 USD) for connectors from Molex 12v which will convert SATA power connectors available

PC OEMS are not built to be extensible without some additional expenses. The alternative is to build your own and select everything you want inside the case.

    Kind regards

  • HP DV7-6199us supports SATA III?

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6199us, and I couldn't find what SATA support it?
There only SATA II or SATA III?

The reason I ask because I want to replace my SSD HARD drive.

    Thank you.

It's a SATA III interface, but you could install an SSD, even if it is SATA-II. Disc SSD SATA-III will be downclock to work on a SATA-II port and you would never know the difference. Or the other will be very fast.

  • Can't access 2nd HARD drive on the Pavilion p6220nl?

I had installed a second HDD SATA in my Pavilion p6220nl desktop computer by unplugging the DVD/CD player with its SATA data and power cables.  He succeeded and I was using my regular hard drive so my new drive to HARD drive for several weeks.

Once my new SATA cable arrived, I tried to reinstall my DVD/CD player that I had also only 2 SATA power connectors.  Instead I tried to use very low power for the new HARD drive connector.  Result, I can not access my new HARD drive.  I tried back (i.e. unplugged my DVD/CD drive again and using this SATA power connector instead) and it still won't go.

I updated my BIOS and tried everything I can think of, but without success.  If anyone can help?  Is there indeed a Molex Pin 4--> adapter SATA connector?  Could I have ruined my new HARD drive with the two small connector and power cables attached SATA power connector?  Is there a specific SATA ports they need to go in.

    Currently the situation is now:

SATA Slot 0 - drive DVD/CD (data cable connected only)

1 - usual HD SATA connector

SATA connector 2 - new HARD drive

    Slot SATA 3 - empty

    Appreciate any advice or assistance.

    Thank you

    Stephen

As you said, you had it working. Then attached a unknown thread on the disc. Now, reconnect to a wiring known, that worked. Don't know, don't worry. The car was damaged. Sorry!
