I am owner of Dreamweaver 8 comes with Macromedia Studio 8. I'm getting worried about the age of the machine which is on. Is there a way to upgrade a laptop Windows 7 which does not involve a monthly rent and allows to work on the source code of my Web site completely offline?

Thank you. Last time I looked into things with the description "Cloud", it seemed to me that you either need to be logged to the software work (possibly validate the rental date?) and/or your content of current things was 'in the cloud '.

While I don't like the rental model, if I can make it work offline that may be an option.

Fortunately, the machine still works, so I have little time to decide. It is likely that my existing sites in Dreamweaver 8 will be compatible up with current versions?

Almost any image editor can do, including Microsoft Paint, which
provided with Windows. Just open the GIF file, and then do a save as, and
Choose the type of JPG file.  There are also many third-party programs
which can convert a chart type to another, including the GIF to JPG.
Do a search on the web.

  • Is there a way to convert my wav files to mp3 files in the player and music library.

I copied some old vinyl to my computer and saved as wav files. I would like to convert thm into mp3 files to save space. When I had Vista I believe that there is a tab in the media player that will allow me to edit the files from wav to mp3 files. Is there a way to do this in Windows 7.

To copy the old LP's to a PC, I would use Audacity (more the Lame encoder) because it will only convert but also, before we do, you can use it to clean your wav files.

Audacity is a complete audio editing software (free) so you can get rid of all unwanted sounds like the rumble of Platinum, clicking on (starting from scratch) etc. using the various filters included with the software. RIP with firstly, Audiograbber as freeware

Google for their web pages, both work with the Lame mp3 encoder.

    See you soon,.

Is there a way to convert files ACAD batch?

I want to create PDF files of the ACAD 93 files that are all the same size and ACAD version without having to open and process each file.

You should be able to get him out only Acrobat Professional, as long as you for CDAA on your machine. In Acrobat X that is the command file / Create /Batch created several files.  Select Add files, then select the files or folder with the files to be converted.

  • Is there a way to open a new window with a site when the House on Firefox setting has several Web sites?

When you work in Firefox, is there a way to open a new window with a site when the House on Firefox setting has several Web sites?

Firefox always opens a new window with the home page (s), you must use shift + left click on a link (bookmark) to open a page in a new window or just rip an existing tab by dragging the tab slightly downwards to open the tab in a new window.

Nope, followed by software such as LoJack should be installed first. And this implies that the thief is too stupid for cleaning up the hard drive and delete everything that you installed in any case.

I created a form with fields default text for a user to update/customize.  Is there a way to style of the text, so I can quickly identify the changes to the default text in a field?

You can use a validation script customized to each text field that looks like:

    event.target.textFont = event.value = event.target.defaultValue? font. HelvI: fonts. Helv;

This will make the text italic (Helvetica) when the field value is the value default and regular otherwise. There are other properties that you can use instead, as the field color, border width, background color, text or text size...

  • Is there a way to convert absolute links to parent?

I'm working on a 6 year with Dreamweaver site. This site is (example):

    ifrance.com

The site contains many links to PDF files like:

    mysite.com/Region/PDF/myDocument.pdf

Over the years some of the links may contain relative links while others contain absolute links.  Obviously, if this site is moved to a new domain as:

    Archives.mysite.com

.. .the links will be fine but the absolute links will break.  Before the site is moved to the field of archives, is it possible for me in Dreamweaver to run a link check and convert all absolute links to relative?

If so, is there a way to do it on the server rather than the local copy of the site?  The reason why is because I don't have the entire site on my local computer.  I download only the pages that I need to edit locally, and then put back them on the server.

    Thanks for any help.

  • is there a way to display a firefox window as it would in full screen without the window being actually in fulscreen?

I recently got Netflix and try to find a way to have a small window always on top in the corner of my screen. I have the add-on always on albums, but can't seem to find something to get rid of all toolbars and tabs on the single window

There is a script command to open a context menu where you can specify don't include toolbars and the usual menu. However, Firefox always displays the address bar (you could turn off the power, but it would affect all the sites), and the window has a frame around it. To see what it would look like, try this:

    Open using Notepad

    • SHIFT + F4
    • button '3-bar' menu > developer > Notepad

Paste this line of code, and then click run on the toolbar of the notebook:

    window.open("http://www.netflix.com/", "_blank","width=800,height=600,resizable");

If additional bars are too bothersome, maybe you can find an add-on to be closer to the ideal of a window without frame.

  • Is there a way to make the results of the search bar appear in a new tab (and not in the current tab)?

I'm new to Firefox, but experience a great improvement on IE. I find it heavy to have to open a new front tab - I use the search bar... I would largely prefer a similar option to 'search results appear in a new tab.

    Thanks for the help!

    Edit: I found it.

This preference can be changed by typing about: config

    (1) type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter (click the button promising to be careful and please be careful!)

    (2) in the filter box, type or paste the Search and pause until the preferences are filtered

    (3) double-click browser.search.openintab to change for real. You're done, you can close all: config now.

You are a person of keyboard or mouse?

Using the keyboard after you type your query, hold down the Alt key while pressing ENTER to open search results in a new tab. This also works in the address bar: when you type the name of a new site, hold the Alt key when you press ENTER to open this site in a new tab.

Using the mouse, hold down the CTRL key while clicking on the magnifying glass icon.

Is there a way to always open in a new tab without having search results to use the Alt or Ctrl key? Hmmm, perhaps, I have not studied that.

  • Is there a way to upgrade Vista to windows 7 or 8?

    Original title: older computers upgrade

I have a really nice hp tower top that is configured for multimedia and I noticed after walking and part support for vista is over or soon will be. I have several computers and one with 10 windows, but I'm not impressed by 10. Is there a way to move from vista to windows 7 or 8 now? I would like a full erase and install all my programs are on an external drive for backup.

    Hello

There is no free upgrade to one of them of Vista.

    Windows 7:

Before purchasing Windows 7, follow these steps:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

  • Is there a way to disable automatically minimize windows.

OT: WIndows open the screen management?

In Windows 7, when moving windows around, open window minimizes them automatically. Is there a way to disable this option?

Is the window you move minimizing all of a sudden, or is it all the other windows on the desktop?

If its all others, this sounds like "Aero Shake" - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/shake

If it is "Aero Shake" then see if that helps - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/74845-aero-shake-enable-disable.html if you have Group Policy Editor and use the Reg files, back up your PC first, or at least set a restore point and backup of your registry. OR see http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-7/disable-aero-shake-in-windows-7/ for an alternative.

However, it is probably a safer method that seems to work -http://www.guidingtech.com/5548/quicklu-disable-aero-snap-shake-windows-7/ so its probably worth a try first of all see if it does what you want.

  • Is there a way to make the snap windows volume mixer all volume of requests to match the main volume?

I noticed that windows likes to change my settings of volume for some applications, probably in an effort to help me, but it seems to create more problems than it prevents. For example, when I start a game, my itunes volume is lowered. The way I calculate it, this often leads to a variety of different volume levels for different applications after awhile, and if I turn up the volume with my volume key (which increases the overall volume) they only rise proportionally. So if the volume of Chrome is 50% and iTunes' volume is 10% and I increase the volume to maximum, iTunes volume only goes up to 20%, forcing me to manually open the mixer volume and level everything. I noticed the overall volume take a gray line in the whole of the mixer, is there a way to force all applications to align on this gray line and does not move unless I change myself in the mixer? Uncheck everything in the volume control options didn't fix it.

    Thank you.

The way I did earlier was to move all the sliders up to 100% (look at your ears, however, if you have headphones on - the "bong" sound system is going to be quite noisy!).  After that I did, all volume settings have been aligned on the line grey and synchronized with the master volume.
