Is there a website on the internet which will cover my computers from viruses and tell me if they are ok or not?

I have a problem. There was an article in the newspaper a few computer virus a few months ago. He says that it slows down your computer and it does all this other stuff. He had a website in this article that checks if you have this Virus. He also says that there are instructions for, if you have one. Well, my father recycled this article until I can get the website. Find throughout this site, I'm not. Ive got a HP Compaq D530 with Windows XP Home Edition which is not too fast that it uses when I built it three years ago. I also have a HP Pavilion G6 with Windows 7 Home I had in March for my birthday. I also have an IBM Aptiva with Windows 98 first edition I had in 1999. I don't use it that much, but it is replaced when I get parts to build a new one. You have a Web site I can check if my computers are okay?  The Windows version is Xp because I typed this on my Xp computer. It is more of a 98, Xp, question 7.
