Is Web services the only way to trigger Workflow based on time of the conditions

< p >
Here's the requirement:

When record a custom object is established for a specific status and it has not changed within 7 days an email be sent to the owner to notify update registration.

Any thoughts on how we can do this?

Thank you

Dan

< /p >

Dan, time based workflow is not available at this time. However, a custom web service program could be used to achieve this functionality.

    I want to create a RESTful Web Services APEX 4.2, who returns to the client, account information required to certain conditions.

    SELECT NAME, AGE, ADDRESS

    WHERE FINANCE >: FUNDS AND CONTROL >: AUDIT

    I defined variables this way.  I tried two URIS, and the Source Type of Httpentete, but nothing works.

    AUDIT OFAUDIT OFINURIDouble
    FUNDFUNDINURIDouble

    I would like to invoke Web Services from a custom page in a web browser, something like this:

    http://localhost/user/customer?funds=1000 & checking = 200

    I could not make passing the values of input in URI parameters to Web Services to work (got an error).  I did anything wrong here?  Is this supported?

    Thank you.

    After some research, I finally cracked. The URI template for my example should be: customer? funds {MONEY} = & check = {CURRENT} now, I can access web services using this URL: http://localhost/schema/customer?FUNDS=1000&CHECKING=200

  • two-way communication with the web service

    I need help with a problem with web services on 8.6.  I do not know if this is possible.

    I have a web service that works very well.  At this point all it defines a Boolean value.

    For the test, I'm just using IE to see the data.  This works.  I can see the Boolean value change each time I send a 0 or 1 value through the URL.

    My problem is this: when I change the Boolean value, I can't read the value of another application of IE.  In other words, I want to be able to open IE twice in two different windows.  When I change a value of an Internet Explorer session, I want to see the value changes in the other session of IE (after refresh).  From now on, it seems that each session of Internet Explorer is a separate instance of the web service.  How can I edit a Boolean value, and read this variation by another IE session?

    My cause is hopeless?  Are web services 'read only '?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Bad form for the double post but the forum wouldn't let me edit my post:

    This VI is a good example of a global LabVIEW 2 style. The registry value at offset uninitialized loop will be persist appealed to the other of this VI. So when the game is true the value of data is stored in the shift register. When all is false the value of the shift register is returned unchanged. Make sure you have 'Keep VI in memory' checked in the configuration of your web service.

  • change the frequency for the web service

    I'm under LabVIEW Web Service with an application following the method shown in the example of weather monitor. But my problem here is that I have to keep clicking the Refresh button, then the Web Service can only update the latest data for me. Can someone help me to set an example on how to let the page Web of the Web Service automatically update the value without pressing the Refresh button. Thank you

    First of all your customer needs to support it. If you use the HTTP Client in LabVIEW (GET.vi and so on) you cannot use this method. A normal browser should.

    Take a look at the address book example FindContacts.vi.

    The help topic linked in the previous post, you should get on the way as well. The news are scattered throughout the help file, but it should be possible to understand.

    Basically, there are two output options for a web service VI: Terminal mode as used in the example weather and fashion such Stream used in the example address book VI.

    Use stream mode and build the HTML page yourself, then sends it to the browser with Response.vi write. Somewhere in the top of the HTML page, you need to insert

    If you need to return a string like

    my title

    If your browser supports Refresh, this page refreshes in 5 seconds. And add some real contents here

    Good luck

  • How a value is to consider the change of dblink to the web service?

    Implementation of SOA and OSB, how a value is to consider the change of dblink to the web service?

    Where I work, there are a large number of dblink between databases. Some dblinks are intended to be the way to load the immense amount of data while others exist only to simple queries.
    I wonder if it might be better to use web services as dblink. In principle, I think that simple queries may be suitable as a web service to improve reuse and governance but I find web service not apropriated for loads of data.
    Obviously, the decision is more complex that just think tecnology. Despite this, it will be useful to hear if there are people around the world think about change dblinks to web services the same load so heavy querys with a small amount of data to be trafficked and this as the principles, models or reasons behind this decision.
    Basically, we are implementing SOA and OSB and I'm looking for the best I can to rethink the way we used to do it so far. I heard from a friend of mine that we must avoid using dblinks and use only the web services. This seems strange to me because I wonder what level of overloading by the net, that we will face. Could someone give your personal opinion or propose an article? There are some pros and cons, formerly on this review?

    My question is: wouldn't I tend to turn the worst of communication when I change the dblink in scenario 1 and even more terribly worse in scenario 2?

    Yes, this is a drawback... You can't get better performance by adding more load, unless you bring better infrastructure...

    One more detail: in scenario 1, there is a high probability to be reused by other systems.

    It is one of the beneficial results you have to weight against your disadvantages...

    In scenario 2, it is not reused, but we need to audit and traceability of the integrations like this.

    This scenario looks more like ETL integration... It's a bulk data loading, you can take a look at ODI - Oracle Data Integrator (ODI is also part of the Fusion Middleware)

    In my view, the main issue is to have systems so closely coupled... Systems get older, they get out of support, seller will declare a version is end-of-life, then you need to update. The system vendor has don't might not mind system B accesses its internal tables, but if they decide to change the internal database on the next version, they do... And then you're stuck with the vendor and version...

    I hope this helps...

    See you soon,.

  • Error SSE2 optimization in the deployment of Web Services

    I'm migrating from 2010 to 2011 SP1 web service [because web services 2010 SP1 were buggy]. At first, I could build and deploy the code very well. Now, I get the following deployment error:

    LabVIEW error: (Hex 0xFFFEFA45) LabVIEW Web Services: call to create a VI reference failed. The target does not support SSE2 optimization. Disable SSE2 optimization in the Advanced dialog box of the Web Service Properties page before continuing.

    Based on the online documentation, my hardware can support SSE2 - but no matter, I disabled it anyway. The error message persists. This message means anything this SSE2 optimization is enabled and is not supported? Based on the text of the error, it seems that turning off optimization should probably fix the problem...

    Hello

    You can right click on the section to initialize your script and then:

    Add-> other-> HTTP-> authentication.

    You need 3 parameters:

    A - http://someurl - url that will authenticate any url that contains the http://someurl string for example http://someurl.com/index.html
    A password
    A user

    The following code should be added in your script:

    http.addAuthentication("http://someurl", "username",
                        deobfuscate("5blNah5kX/XuZnepYwInFw=="));

    Hope this helps

  • How to get the response from the web service

    Hello

    My requirement is necessary send the UI ADF input parameter and get web service respone. I created proxy WSDL-based methods. Now in my action button earpiece that I wrote the logic below.

    {} public void submitAction (ActionEvent actionEvent)
    Add the code in the event here...
    BigDecimal merNam = null;
    String number = this.it1.getValue (m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ()); my entry value
    merNam = new BigDecimal (number);
    MV MerchantValidate = new MerchantValidate(); / / created by jdeveloper when proxy generation.
    mv.setMerchantNumber (merNam); / / the value input to the web service
    System.out.println ("merchant number is:" + mv.getMerchantNumber ());

    Mr. MerchantValidateResponse = new MerchantValidateResponse(); / / create object of response class
    String result = mr.getResult (); / / try to get the answer
    System.out.println ("result:" + result); / / I'm getting null as a result
    / * this.setResult (mr.getResult ());
    System.out.println ("the answer is:" + this.getResult ()); * /

    Can someone help how to pass values to the web service and get the response. And how can we get the Web service data control.

    It's very urgent pls help. I'm not for this technology.

    Hello

    You can view the tutorial for a good understanding on creation and use of a Web Service data control:

  • Web services do not work little matter what I do

    receive a new laserjet MFP M127FW and so far, everything works except eprint.

    IF I can get it to turn on, it only after that I reboot (power cycle) of the printer.

    If I try to activate it via the web management, he will never say that it has been activated, it comes from the clocks (icon of spinning that says connection)

    so SOMETIMES the web interface will tell his licence and SOMETIMES I can see the generated email in a random way, it gives me, BUT it only lasts for about 5 minutes, then Web Services turns off again.

    I have passed everyport listed in this forum and the how to created by a person here.

    I even put the printer in the demilitarized zone - still does not work.

    N-O-T-H-I-N-G fact work of Web services... period.

    I flashed the firmware to the last (has that right out of the box)

    There is nothing more for me that the user do... eprint/WebServices is broken. period.

    I saw someone say that the code that is supposed to print is the name in the generated randomly by e-mail you are given.

    and I tried to use it to register it on hpconnect but it just says: "unexpected error".

    also when I try to do things on the LCD, such as printouts of information, enable/disable web services, see e-mail, he just clocks (endless spinning icon... I left it like this the day after and it never stopped.

    IF I'm quick enough to see the generated email at random in the Web UI and then try to use the LCD screen to print the code or do something outside of via e-mail (which it appears if the web GUI shows) it is said that the services are not available

    still, I spent the last 2 days, for a total of more than 10 hours to try to make this work and IF it is enabled, I think it's just a false positive, even if enamel randomly does not appear, it does not work and then in 5 minutes, web services will be deactivated again.

    I'm not an average user, I am a veteran of 20 years of PC/MAC/setting in network, and I've never seen a printer to do that was not flat broke.

    but since this is the only thing that doesn't work do not, so far, I think that it is simply a problem of firmware.

    Finally... when trying to activate the web services the lights of the NETWORK card on the back of the printer are flashing 100% non-stop, for ever and ever... until I power cycle.

    its as if the web service is locked or stuck in a loop.

    also restore the default of the LCD or web GUI does nothing... nothing changed... and I am never presented with the initial start-up, as one might expect.

    is there a way to force the printer to one out of the box State serving anything and everything back to a factory State? (where I have to go through the initial Setup again?

    p. s.

    network settings are fine, I can print to the printer of the iPad, iphone, pc and MAC so all side 2 network works... but not Web services

    I could talk to a fantastic tech in cloud services who recalled a nun fix documented

    USE THE DNS SERVERS OF LEVEL 3! No other DNS server doesn't work
    Literally within 10 seconds does HP Web Services work!

    209.244.0.3
    209.244.0.4

    I changed my entire network in this

    Huge congratulations to cloud services!

  • CRMOD insert web service does not

    I'm trying to insert a new CRMOD account via web services with different external system but ID the same name and location. On these accounts "duplicate", I get the following error:

    "System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: example of the integration component 'Account', with the user key", a record with identical values already exists in the database of Siebel.""

    Is there a setting that I can add to the web service to only watch the external system id when it is inserted.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

    No, there is no setting that can force you to make sure that only ExternalSystemID is meant and not the account name field and location.

    This is the data of the Account object model, to manage the uniqueness of the amongst files CRM expects that account name and location is different from existing records.

    Usually these cases can happen by consequence system autour with the location field by making it unique every time.

    Hope this helps

  • Develop Web Services in APEX

    Hello

    I'm just getting started and I need to know what is the best way to develop a web service at the apex or expose functionality as such. Is this possible or do I have to buy a product for that? If so, which?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Pedro

    Hello Pedro,

    If you want to develop a web service, the APEX is not the first choice. You should get better for JDeveloper (also free).
    APEX is perfect for consuming web services that...

  • Web service JSON data do not return does not

    I created an application with a test sample local (active forlder) json file called "contacts.json" as below, just to test if I have any return data. The data returned in a listview without problem.

    [{ "id":1, "firstname": "Mike", "lastname": "Chepesky", "title": "Sr. Editor",
      "image": "images/data/mike_chepesky.png", "active": true, "gender": "m" },
    { "id":2, "firstname": "Westlee", "lastname": "Barichak", "title": "Talent Scout",
      "image": "images/data/westlee_barichak.png", "active": true, "gender": "m" }]

    I then changed the source for 'http://... '. "a link is valid and I checked, and it returns the data in a classic web browser (firefox). But he won't be in my application.

    What I noticed, is that the difference between the local json file and the return of web service, the web service does not return the square brackets "[...]" the json... I suspect that maybe that's the problem? If so, how do I manipulate the data source in my application to incorporate media? Is the returned data (without brackets) real...

    {"status":"successful","current_version":"1.1.1","latest_version":"1.2.0.0","details":"1. Item A 2. Item B 3. Item C","type":"Force update"}

    Thank you.

    If I'm not wrong, your local file json contains an array of objects, and that you load from your server contains a single object.
    If so, you can not call insertList (data), use insert (data)

  • Brand new Photosmart 7510 does not connect to Web Services

    Nice day! I am trying to solve a problem for a customer and I hope that someone can help you. I found a couple of other discussions with the people affected by this problem, but the solution did not help. My client has a Photosmart 7510 is all new and it made me get setup for him. The printer is configured, connected to its wireless network, the software is installed on his PC 3 and I can print of each of them. However, we are not able to activate the Services Web is a key reason that he bought the device.

    When we try to turn on Web Services, the printer successfully checks for an update (none are available) but then times out during the server communicating with Web Services... scene. I get the same result if I try to activate Web Services via the printer, thanks to its web Interface or via the installer driver on a PC. Depending on the Network Configuration Page, the printer is properly take an IP address (including DNS) from the router. I tried to set an IP through the web INTERFACE as well by changing the DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 with no improvement. I tried power cycling router of my client and I also tried setting the parameters of encryption on the printer manually instead of using the automatic mode. All computers, my laptop and iPad can use Internet very well, but Web Services will not be activated on this printer.

    Is there any other suggestions that I can try? Is it possible that Web Services are just down right now? This particular unit is defective? My client bought this partially to access ePrint impression from his iPad, so it is essential we get active Web Services. If anyone can help, I would be very happy. Thank you!

    Hello PXAbstraction,

    The servers are being updates not scheduled at this time.  The best thing to do is to wait 1 to 2 hours at least and to 24 hours, then try again.  If this is not enough, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
