  I know that the 220 x comes with DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM, so I got a second 4 GB module to add to the computer came with. I made sure the speed and timings were the same.

  However, looking at the memory in detail using hwinfo32, I see that samsung provided with computer memory supports 666,7 533,3, 400.0 and 333.3 frequencies.

  In addition, because I installed the new memory, my computer started hanging a few seconds once from time to time. This produces very rarely, maybe once every few hours, but when it's the computer becomes completely insensitive for 5 to 10 seconds.   There is no errors in the event viewer that point to this and the built in windows memory diagnostic says my RAM is fine.

  Problem solved by the resettlement of these two memory modules. I initially do not introduce the new at bottom.

  Lack of support for the clock speed lower seems to be only a problem when the other memory is too slow and underclock the memory more quick to match. Since mine, both executed in their highest frequency, it will not be a problem.

  Memtest86 + finds no problems and performance with two sticks are a good bit more fast, with a value of $35.

  Trying to play PC games recently, I had a few problems. Yesterday, I solved a problem of RAM where it says 16 GB installed but 3.46 GB usable by using msconfig. That has been corrected (apparently) However most of my games just get past title screens and even when they do they are slow as * / crash most of the time: nothing has changed.

  I have a GTX 770 so it is a recent issue, because he was working fine until last week. Driver is up-to-date as with all updated regularly through steam/uplay games. One glaring problem I see maybe I have 9 GB on Windows (c) to the left, but I really would not have thought that to be a problem.

  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  I wanted to upgrade the RAM on my laptop, the description says I can go as high 16GB I am looking to update to it.   I have a G62-355DX with 3 GB of ram (I know not yet what brand of RAM is inside) then I saw this KINGSTON 4 GB ram compatible with my laptop. My question is, for example, the 1st brand of memory is SAMSUNG / 3GB (assume it is already installed when I bought my laptop), then I'll add more memory which is KINGSTON 4 GB. Will it work? SAMSUNG 3 GB + KINGSTON 4GB? or the RAM should be both the same brand?

• Issue of RAM Pavilion ze4900

  The ez4900 has a RAM in addition to what is in the Bay of RAM on the bottom of the chassis? Some laptops have little RAM soldered to the main Board, and their berries are to expand on that. The ez4900 has given me has no RAM card in the Bay. When turned on, it beeps 4 times but shows nothing on screen (screen remains black) and no action of the keyboard seems to have no effect. There is a blue light slow flashing on the bottom indicating suspend mode, and lights on the battery. Power supply has been checked and work. I haven't found an explanation to the line that can mean 4 beeps (or no beep codes for this model). So I wonder if the problem is that there is no RAM at all.

  do you, you insert the RAM sticks before or after the flash bios update? try to remove/replace the memory first.

  If it doesn't work, try this:
  Press windows + r, type "msconfig" > Startup tab > advanced options > mark 'Maximum memory' > select '2048 '.
  Restart your computer and check if it works.

• After Effects CS5.5 - Performance very serious issues w/RAM Preview

  My system: Windows 7 Professional, two-processor Intel Xeon X 5650, 12 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800.

  Problem: RAM Preview in CS5.5 give me less than 2 fps (Yes - two images per second). It's even with the simplest compositions. I created a project of 1080 p 23.976 with two solid layers simple and retouching position and scale values to one of them without other effects to be switched on. RAM Preview gives me 1.8 fps.

  I still have AE CS5 installed and it gives me strong and predictable results with RAM Preview. When I create a similar test inside the CS5 project, it creates the RAM Preview almost instantly and displays good real-time (23.976 fps).

  My settings for CS5 and CS5.5 are similar (and I tried many variations in my attempt to solve this problem).

  PREVIEWS

  Fast previews: Adaptive resolution limit 1/4

  Compatible OpenGL and two sub-options for active OpenGL.

  MEMORY and MULTIPROCESSING

  Reserved for other applications of RAM: 4 GB

  I tried different settings for multiprocessing, which translates the same less-than-2 fps previews RAM. Currently I have MP'ing activated with allocation of 1.5 GB per background CPU and real processor used is 4. Yet once, no matter what I set it to, I have the same problem of performance.

  On my screen magnification ratio setting, I use 25% and my Resolution/Down sample is on the quarter. In my preview, I tried setting my default resolution to "Auto" to "Quarter" without any difference.

  In short: on the same machine, RAM of AE CS5.5 preview offers terrible performance. Preview RAM CS5 offers excellent performance.

  Well, I got my answer and all is well in the world.

  After uninstalling all AJA (and even turn off my Kona card), I lived even horrible RAM previews. Then I Dove which was actually installed on my PC and here I found entries that refer to something as "Matrox Utils". I had not installed anything to do with Matrox. I'm not a big fan of the MXO2, but we have a few floating around the office and after asking around, I found my enemy - one of my co-workers used my machine when I was last week and it has installed and used the MXO2.

  So now I guess I have to install my AJA stuff and everything is good. Thanks a lot Szalam and Todd (and everyone else) for pointing me in the right direction!

• The bloody sound issue with XP (DV7-2000 series)

  OK, if someone has managed to get IDT Audio Codec 100% functional under Windows XP?

  100%, I mean:
  -work the three speakers
  -headhones jack sound
  -cut the touch button turns on properly

  sp41398 - is the best driver to date (subwoofer does not work, always red button mute). The fate of two speakers and headphones.
  sp43935 - the last driver I could lay my hands on. Subwoofer only doesn't work, no sound from headphone jacks. The mute button is OK.

  The problem is obviously not in the drivers (*.sys, *.dll) themselves, but in the registry settings. Maybe the INF files are also well screwed upward. I tried to install sp43935 and returned to some settings in the registry as sp41398. I managed to make the speakers work with the subwoofer (with kind of a sound distortion at high volume levels, however). So I just replaced all the files *.inf sp43935 with sp41398 of the *.inf files and installed the drivers updated the. They acted exactly as sp41398 drivers, although the file *.sys and *.dll from across sp43935 most recent.

  Then? Any thoghts? Maybe someone has already solved the problem?

  I finally managed to mod the driver for Windows XP, so that it works almost perfectly.

  Indicator LED works properly, its fate of headphones, Speaker Subwoofer seems to work and no hack stupid devcon is required.

  The only problem now is that the IDT Control Panel works correctly. Well, already it did not work at all.

  If there are still users with Windows XP out there who want a better driver, let me know and I'll upload the driver somewhere.
