I know that the 220 x comes with DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM, so I got a second 4 GB module to add to the computer came with. I made sure the speed and timings were the same.

However, looking at the memory in detail using hwinfo32, I see that samsung provided with computer memory supports 666,7 533,3, 400.0 and 333.3 frequencies.

The memory module corsair that I just installed supports 400.0 533,3 and 666,7 alone. There is no support for 333,3.

Could someonen please tell me more info on what that means and if it will affect me in any way?

In addition, because I installed the new memory, my computer started hanging a few seconds once from time to time. This produces very rarely, maybe once every few hours, but when it's the computer becomes completely insensitive for 5 to 10 seconds. The hard disk LED flashes, but moving the mouse or typing on the keyboard causes no response - as if the computer is completely frozen. more 5-10 seconds later it again as if nothing happened.

This only started happening after I installed the new memory - but it was in the same day that I tweaked my card to firx question 50 Hz Intel graphics drivers.

Could someone tell me with certainty whether drivers intel or the new memory then occasional hanging happens?

There is no errors in the event viewer that point to this and the built in windows memory diagnostic says my RAM is fine.

Problem solved by the resettlement of these two memory modules. I initially do not introduce the new at bottom.

Lack of support for the clock speed lower seems to be only a problem when the other memory is too slow and underclock the memory more quick to match. Since mine, both executed in their highest frequency, it will not be a problem.

Memtest86 + finds no problems and performance with two sticks are a good bit more fast, with a value of $35.

  • Issue frequency RAM on CQ50 series

I have a pretty good knowledge of memory speeds when it comes to computers, but even I have a question about a specific memory. Maybe someone out there knows the answer.

My question is what is causing my main ram to laptops run at DDR2 - 667 mhz. I know for a fact it is PC2-6400 and is able to operate at an external speed of 800 mhz DDR2, but it won't. The default ram to 667 mhz no matter what I do.

The BIOS was my first choice to change this setting, but as usual the BIOS is locked.  Note to HP, you guys need to stop locking sections of the advanced features of the BIOS. This is a killer of the real deal for any future project, that I had to purchase more HP/Compaq computers. Not to mention the limitations, he puts on the system in general, in other words, it has a * beep * move on your part.

The system in question is the HP Compaq CQ50 and I modified it with updates of the game. Mainly changed the single core celeron 575 for a Core2Duo T7500 processor. The processor runs at a nominal speed of 800 mhz FSB and chipset GL40 says it supports up to bars of memory DDR2 800 mhz.

As for the memory, the system has had 2 gb (2x1gb) sticks to 667 mhz and I swapped those out for newer DDR2 800 mhz sticks (2x2gb) for a total of 4 GB. I was disappointed when then start the system and check cpu id to find the speed of the ram was the same, there was just more of it.

They are adapting sticks purchased at the same time and are registered as PC2-6400 (400 mhz), manufactured by Ramaxel technology with part RMN1740EF48D8W-800 number. Shot of another HP computer.

Which component on the system board is causing the RAM down the clock like that? I begin to suspect that the BIOS is the culprit because there is no advanced options, or really anything of use in there. Just, I want the memory runs at the expected speed, is there anything we can do about it?

    System information:

Name: Compaq Presario CQ50 103WM (its been updated since the installed equipment factory)

Processor: Intel Core2Duo T7500 2.2 Ghz 6 MB cache FSB 800 mhz (original was core Intel Celeron 575)

Memory: 4 GB of DD2 at 800 mhz (operating at 667 for unknown reason) (has 2 GB of ddr2 667 orginially)

Graphics card: integrated Intel Mobile 4 series (GL40 Chipset) (also a serious bottleneck, and probably why the ram runs at the wrong frequency)

    Operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 sp1

This seems to be the revelant information that future readers will have. If need more information I'll post on request. I feel there will be little or no help here, but I have to try. Otherwise no one would know that the question is there.

    Hello:

This is not the info I've seen since the specifications of the Intel chipset on the link below... Max is at 667 MHz.

  • With regard to the installation of RAM

    Hello

My name is Bharadwaj B S, I am currently thinking to buy a new 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz frequency RAM for my g - 009 HP ax. When I checked the specifications of memory in some software, it showed 798,4 Mhz, which is the RAM currently in my laptop.

    QUESTION:

My question is if I have to buy a new RAm, which is the same frequency or can install a new RAM with a FREQUENCY higher than the current RMA presents in my laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

Search online for the memory of your laptop by using its name of complete product and the RAM.

Purchase guaranteed compatible memory modules (with 1 year or more than guaranteed) from a provider memory well known brands of module. (Kingston, Crucial, Corsair)

Replace the bars of memory, unless you purchase another module which is absolutely identical to the one that is currently installed.

Do not do which is very likely your laptop is not able to start Windows. It's your choice of what to buy, but we are here to try to help you avoid mistakes.

I just finished my new workstation of the construction and the first port of call was the first Pro CC installation! Could be. Or could with this material, you need different settings.

I have a new machine and the manufacturer has played with a lot of things... it is Variant Canyon one hell 4-core i7, primary core @ 4.6Gzh, other three to 3.5 Ghz, fsb too clocked at 166 Mhz and curiously, RAM & the three slowest nuclei have been slightly underclocked due to the way which they interface actually more quickly with these settings. By report to my previous machine, also a 4-core, it's SMOKING. On first commissioning with everything to 'standard' settings, it is faster but not Mary. At the time where he played with the settings, wowie... just kazowie note the difference in performance with changing parameters, you can re - think about the configuration of your machine. Although, of course, you can correct that there is a problem in a hardware store.

More on the page of the Tweaker is discussed for the fsb, CPU, and frequencies RAM shook everything to get as much flow. There are things like that that can make a huge difference in performance.

At this point, I can't emphasize too much on using the test on the page of the Tweaker to see where you machine is doing well and where it chokes... the test is a folder compressed with a file media & project plus a logging program. You extract all, install the deposit return program on your machine, import the project into PrPro with his single on the chronology of 30 seconds and run an export. The sequence specifically chose the applied effects so that every bit of material are in tatters on... CPU, RAM, GPU, fsb and disk read/write. You download the results of the logging program and to obtain an accurate statement of how perform every part of your machine. This would probably tell you more than anything else right now.

  • RAM problem (y580)

I recently met some problems with performance in my laptop y580 (i5, 8GB, gtx660m) in games, and after execution of CPU - Z, I came to the conclusion it might be problem with the RAM, because I think that the DRAM 665 MHz frequency is not something good for DDR3 technology, am I right? How can I change this value? I looked in the BIOS, but it seems that it has simplified version and there is no options for procesor or RAM.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi, Sadam,

your RAM is Double rate (DDR). frequency display must be multiplied x 2,

so if the clock of the bus is 667 MHz, flow is 1333. There is nothing you can change!

  • Frequency max RAM MacBook mid-2010 (7.1)

    Hello

I wanted to update my MAC Book (mid-2010 - 7.1) with chip Ram 2 x 4 GB of Kingston. I got the last race of El Capitan, and even with just 2x2gb it actually works very well.

I bought two Kingston KVR16LS11/4 - with 1600 MHz. The dealer told me that it will work with any MACBook.

So I installed the two chips and nothing happens after that I press the Start button. ?!?!

Do something wrong? The chips are not fair? I was wondering if maybe the frequency of chips is high priority - but I always thought, that the system it will operate at a lower frequency if necessary.

Any chance of getting the chips running?

  • Satellite A100-847: is artificially capped in BIOS RAM frequency?

Well, this question has been asked before, but in a somewhat different way. The thing is that the CPU runs at 667 MHz and Intel 945 PM Express supports aliases PC5300 memory at 667 MHz. notebook was shipped with 512 MB of memory 533 MHz, so now I have two options:

    1. buy an another 512 MB of PC4200 RAM
    2. do not use it and buy two sticks PC5300

I think there should be some benefits of running of the synchronous RAM with CPU, all the new RAM does not work at a slower frequency (or even does not work).

    See you soon.

    Hello

667 MHz memory modules are a little faster than the 533 MHz modules, but the difference is small, and you will not see the benefits of great performances.

If you want to use the 667 MHz speed, you need to use both modules with 667 MHz because
If one of the modules will support 533 Mhz the other module (667 mhz) will also work with 533 Mhz max

  • Maximum frequency of RAM to Satellite C650-1CC

    Hello

I want to buy RAMs again, but I know Don t, how is the maximum frequency, which can use my cell phone. If he isn´t no need to buy a RAM with frequency with 1600 MHz for example.
Now there's the Rams with 1066 MHz frequency.

    Thanks for the reply

    Satellite C650-1CC (PSC08E-03H006CZ)

According to specification for laptop, your laptop can be upgraded up to 4 GB. For the moment, there must be 3 GB inside and one of the modules is 2 GB. Only thing you can do is to get the same second RAM and use 2 x 2 GB. It must be DDR3 1066 MHz (PC3-8500).

You must use the identical two Rams and you will have only a few compatibility problems.

According to specification for laptop, your laptop must have 2 x 2 GB SO - DIMM DDR2 800 MHz RAM inside.

  • Y580 16 GB RAM support

I turn to the community to see if someone has installed 16GB of memory in their Y580. Manual and the site Web of Lenovo said that 8 GB is the maximum supported, but some positions indicated that it could support 16 GB. I need to hear from anyone who has actually tried 16 GB of RAM in their Y580 whether if it worked as it's the only thing that holds back me the Y580 purchase.

Compuram has a strict policy of paypal on their website, the Y580 takes 16 GB of ram, and seeing that they take payment through PayPal, it would be foolish to sell you something they would have to be repaid in virtue "not as described". + They also stated that the Y570 take 16GB and it takes 16 GB so that others who have posted here is true.

  • Satellite L30-134: is it possible to determine the frequency of 533 MHz RAM?

    Hello!

I have Satellite L30-134 and used a module of 1 GB / 667 MHz (sic!) for a while. Same Toshiba says maximum speed 533 MHz memory he recognizes module PC-5300 and sets exactly to 667 MHz.

I decided to increase the RAM and bought another PC-5300 1 GB stick.
... RAM is only 1 GB with two modules together. The two sticks are OK - L30 sees 1 GB and works well with each of them separately.

I know that the reason is that Toshiba couldn't work with greater speed on the two banks (or something like that).

So. It seems to be a good idea to set the frequency of 533 MHz and it should work.
The only question is to know how to do it? BIOS Setup is almost empty and does not have these settings.

One advise, please (except to buy sticks more :)

    Hello

Laptop Satellite L30-134 is a processor 1.5 GHz of Intel-Celeron-M (Yonah).
    Is this good?

This processor supports a 533 Mhz bus and if you use modules of 533 Mhz RAM then will automatically solve this value!
Simply put, you do not need to change anything manually! Everything is controlled automatically.

Am I missing something, or is the actual frequency of SDRAM half that announced?

  • HP Elitebook RAM running frequency values lower than possible hardware (factory setting)

As part of the upgrade of RAM (from 4 GB to 8 GB) on my HP Elitebook 8560W, I did several tests to find out what type of RAM to my PC a. I was surprised that my RAM (Samsung, PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM SO-DIMM) runs only on 666 MHz = 6.67 * 99.8 MHz (9-9-9-24 calendar, 1.50 V voltage).

However, the factory often supposed to be 1 333 MHz. RAM How can I set correct values of RAM clock 1 333 MHz?

More info: updating my BIOS: 68SVD worm. F.42; 07/15/2013 Motherboard: HP 1631 & Chipset: Intel QM67 (Cougar Point) (B3)

If you need additional information, feel free to ask me questions.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Since your stick of ram is a Double Data Rate (DDR3) as any other RAM sticks of today, its actual frequency still shows 2 times less.  What you see is correct.   In the past, SDRam yielded 1 data at each clock, with DDR ram, 2 the data are transferred to each clock (hz), so the performance is doubled = equivalent to twice the frequency.  Two-channel will accelerate the transfer of ram using two sticks at the same time, but you can still see 666 mhz cpu - z.

Been built several computers game, when I set the frequency in bios to the right pair, it always show 2 x less, don't worry!   PS.  I have 1600 mhz DDR3 sticks and show 801,3 mhz of CPU - z.

In ADDITION, if you upgrade your ram, so that they can operate in dual channel, be sure to buy a stick of the same size (4 GB), frequency (1333 mhz), calendar (9-9 - 9-24) and voltage (1.50 V).  Those who should be easy to find.  It is always better to buy Kit with two since they are tested to work exactly the same, there may be difference of manufacturing between brands and models, but it shouldn't matter much if these 4 parameters are the same.  If you buy a lower frequency stick, the other fits than slower.  If possible, buy one of the same brand to be absolubly that they match (Samsung M471B5273DH0-CH9)

The BIOS * could * be reflashed at a CV not a compatible with your motherboard, but there are a lot of risks for this purpose, up to an unusable computer (motherboard will need to be removed and would need a new BIOS chip, a reprogrammed chip probably welded or a new motherboard).  That's what tells the computer parts, how to work with each other.  Also, your computer will be out of warranty.  You don't need it to be since your ram is working as expected.
