[Issue] Guest Admin

How should we ACTUALLY do about adding another user of BC to admin another site of BC.

Currently, I have my own site hosted by BC. And need for admin access to another site... because it's very annoying to have to run down the stairs to turn on my other rig, install Adobe CC is signed CC customer account so I can post updates on their site.

Sounds simple... The Admin site settings > users-> invites Admin User.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!

"Error".

Details of account for this user can only updated through the site where it was created first. »

Then, how the bloody hell are you suppose that add you to the British Colombia admin role another if you have to, somehow, add access to the Web site of the OTHER person through YOUR site.

... Hell can not even the FTP thing to work (Yes, I use SFTP).

Essentially, British Colombia is the worst option never use if you want from others is to manage your site. -_-'

    Hi fellow El Capitan users,.

I participate in the communities of Spanish Apple Support.

I want to create another user on my computer space. When I start my computer (MacBook Pro, mid-2012, OS X 10.11.5) I see my name (where to click to log on as usual) and guest user.

If I click Guest user, can I change in system preferences > language and region > Español without changing my space Admin de Español?

With a userspace Español, I hope that open applications such as the numbers and Pages in Español Español screenshots. When I return to my Admin area, I hope that I see English.

Sorry for this stupid question, but once I changed my Admin Hebrew language to test text from right to left and it's fear of eye tea aitchbone ess out of me coming back to English.

    Kind regards

    Ian.

PS I know how to add a language (the button +).

    Yellowbox salvation!

I just tried what you're suggesting, but conversely (English and Spanish guest admin), and it did not work. I have recorded in the account guest and switched language to English, but after login with my main user account, there was a joint Spanish-English interface. All these have disappeared after a reboot, and everything was back to Spanish, including the guest user.

It's really a shame, because this feature would be useful for me also. It is sometimes a little difficult to answer the questions in English while working on an interface in Spanish

  • EA6500 FTP security & server problem

I'm fairly knowledgeable about computers, but still learning my way around networking.  There are two ethernet cables to come to my house with optical fiber connections high speed.  There is a router on both of them and I have therefore 2 WI - fi networks.  I have a 2 t HD Seagate attached to the EA6500. Access to records is enabled and I have a name of user and password set up so I can see the drive of all my devices.  It is mapped as a network drive on a window 8.1 machine and a Windows 7 laptop.  I'll try to set up a ftp server on one of them, but when I'm at the EA6500 last week, I discovered that he has built in ftp server.  I turned and tried to open a session.  I tried networks as well as the 4 g network on my phone.  4g just give an error, but the connection request came when I was on one of the networks.  My credentials have been accepted, the ftp screen came, but no drive and no file.  I spent an hour for most useless on the phone with Linksys support, but have learned one thing: when I disabled access to the records, and then the disc with all the files appeared.  However, no newspaper was asked.  Enter "ftp: / / {ipv4 address}" product page ftp in my browser with all the files revealed.  In addition, access to the files on my network was of course now disabled.  I asked the tech by the lack of a connection is required, and she told me that I only knew that the address ip so no one else would be able to see my files.  I almost called her a stupid at this point.  Unfortuneatley she seemed not very security conscious or not even aware of how ridiculous that was.  I have re-enabled access to the folder and the disabled of course ftp again.  A refresh of the page in the browser returned to the blank page of ftp.  Is it possible to use effectively the built in Server ftp securely?

Now if I'm in a remote location, I can connect account Smart Wi - Fi, will disable access to files and turn on ftp temporarily, then access my files and ftp, then backtrack.  It's a work-around that I don't like.  Someone managed using the Linksys FTP safely while maintaining access to local folders?  Also, is there a way to limit the connection to a particular username?  The customer accounts and admin (password w/router) have already been awarded to highly secure passwords, but the one I used for local access, not so much.  If I get this job, which apparently won't be enough, because it doesn't seem to be a way to make the distinction between a local and a remote user in the settings of the router.

Hold on!   AHA!  I think that I thought about it!  The correct answer to your question should have been no. only, I created a user, but I did not know that the 'actions' were added to the user by clicking on the blue word 'actions' next to my username.  So NOW, when I try it in Google Chrome, voila! I can see the files.  I turned it back off again, so I can create a combo/part of the user with a good password.  One problem remains.  I tried adding the actions first by clicking on the admin user.  Now, I don't see a way to edit the admin user to disassociate the part.  I really didn't have admin access.  I was only adding the part as a test, but now it seems that it is there to say.  Please don't tell me I have to reset the router to get rid of it.

What a pity that phone support is not able to explain on the management of stocks.  Just ask me about stocks helped helped focus my attention on the right box.  Thanks, chadster766!  I ' l count this issue resolved and leave the issue with admin for another ad if I can't understand me.

If this isn't the case, left click Security Cebter > look in the left column, click on Restart (or early).

If Yes, close the window. You check Security Center if she's back.

  • Lion - cannot create the master Director Open Fusion 4

I can't promote a Lion Server to an Open Directory in Fusion 4 (running the latest version of the Fusion and Lion) master. The Lion VM Server just hangs. I tried NAT and Bridged mode, neither one allows me to complete the process. Can I promote a physical machine very well. I was wondering if someone else ran into this.

What is a good way to troublehsoot this on the side of Fusion, i.e. balls I should look? I support that I recently bought 4 merge, I should open a ticket with technical support?

Thanks in advance for any guidance...

    Hi lerker,.

Your VM has only a single processor core is attributed to the?  It seems that Lion Server will create an Open Directory master, unless the virtual machine has at least two CPU cores allocated.  That problem is described in the Release Notes for Fusion 4 under Known Issues > guest operating systems.

Adding a second processor on the computer virtual kernel must solve this problem, but note that, in certain circumstances, the Lion trying to create the master OD seems to enter the customer in an invalid configuration from which it will not recover - in other words, there is a chance that you will need to do a fresh install after it bumping to two processor cores (or you might need to do a job more than I does it try to figure out how to recover the invalid configuration).

    See you soon,.

  • Sizing, design and SRM datastore

    Hello

I hope someone can give me an advice on a project I'm working on that. So it is a new construction and my first foray in SRM, I want to make sure that I get the right page data store first.

We have about 100 total VM that we seek to replicate and protect with MRS. About 70 on the main site and 30 on the secondary site. Each site will have a group of 11 ESX host and we will be issuing guests at both ends of bi-directional RS (I know that we could probably divide site B to a cluster of smaller to save on some licensing costs, but not we are too concerned on this subject for now). There will be other virtual machines in an environment that will not be protected, they will be all run on other groups/hosts and stored on their own stores to separate data in the SRM protected hosts.

Regarding the layout of data store in the past, I've always stuck with 300-500 GB LUNS with 10-15 VMS on each. I plan to reduce to smaller groups, maybe 5 average VMs, to allow us more flexibility in replication schdules, and in protection groups and stimulus plans, we can pull up to retrieve subsets of servers.

If we go down to 5 VMs per lun we are looking at about 20 max VMFS volumes on the cluster. We also about 40 SAN existing volumes that will link approximately 20 MV as RDM (some vm will have ROW 3 or 4), while we are looking at a total of 60 ~ LUN to be mounted on each host.

My first concern was that more than 11 guests is a heap of SAN zoning and management way (without are the two EVA6000, active, active, we have 2 ports in each host and provide perform some manual path management ensure the highest load that RDM are split). Storage Administrator is happy to take on the additional burden of multiple total LUNS on the basis that it gives us more control of planning what we have with failover and replication.

Is there anything of the above, Miss me that we should consider in the decision? We looked at 2 small groups of 5/6 guests, but decided a large would eliminate the need to balance the workload through consolidation, keeping abit of simpler overall layout.

    Appreciate any feedback!

    See you soon,.

    Steve

What is on-site. The smaller the LUNS and the amount of virtual machines the more choices you will eventually. In other words, I'd rather do it this way as well.

  • Cannot change the guest account to admin account type

Original Tilte: can not replace access admin comments

Hi I have some problems with users. The guest account has admin access, I tried to change it, but it won't work. I want comments removed admin.
Here is a video that I'm having the problem.

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=mYzgBKwSERY

    Hello
    1. don't you make changes on the computer?
    2. what happens when you try to delete the guest account administrator rights?
    3. do you receive any error messages?

Step 1: Perform a virus scan by using the Microsoft safety scanner
    Microsoft safety scanner
    http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx.
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
    Step 2: Remove administrative rights
    a. Click Start, type user accounts and press enter
    b. click on the guest account, then click on change the type of account and change the account type.
  • Admin acct guard pass to a guest security account.

Admin acct guard pass to a guest security account. When she does, MSE turns off, then no protection against malware. Don't have anything changed and added programs. Also unable to understand why the other acct is not guaranteed. Am a newbie on computers and on a machine "hand me down".

    Hey April,

Although this article is for the person to get rid of the computer, it also applies to you in this situation:

Protect and serve your personal files

In your case, not sure what the previous person had on their computer (maybe even illegal), so formatting and reinstalling would be your best bet.

  • Installed NEWSid, restarted, now I am obliged in the guest account and can't make admin account or change the guest account.

I had to run NEWSid due to software, I bought and installed (Stardock Objectdock) and required me to restart. Upon reboot, I had the guest account and couldn't change little matter what I tried. Here are things I tried.

    (1) goes UAC and by creating an account admin, but when I put a name in the name field, it tells me I have the invalid text when I do.

    2) restart in safe mode to create the Admin account or change the parameters of control of the accounts in this way and the same thing happens as a #1.

Reinstall Windows Vista Home Basic 64-Bit 3) compared to the original, which does nothing to help.

After research, I learned that using NEWSid with Vista causes this problem a lot, but the only solution I found is to use a recovery system disk (the only disc that came with my purchase of the computer has been the Cyberpower restore disc that contains only Windows Vista Home Basic 64-Bit.

I am at a loss what to do, what I'm in the guest account and can't get out. System Restore did nothing as well until I reinstalled Vista. When I tried to run the system restore, it told me the Volume Shadow service was not working, but as part of the services, it has been set to automatic.

    Hi Rizzano,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

If you are unable to connect to the administrator account, you will be unable to make changes on the computer by using the guest account.

I think you did an in place upgrade which means it replaces the file system and makes no changes to the user account.

You try to activate the construction in the administrator account and check if it works.

If you are able to connect on windows first try to create a new administrator account.

To activate the built-in Administrator account, follow these steps:

    1. click Startand type cmd in the Search boxof start.
    2. in the list of search results, right-click Guest, and then click run as administrator.
    3. When you are prompted by user account control, click continue.
    4. at the command prompt, type net user administrator / Active: Yesand then press ENTER.
    5. type net user administrator , , and then press ENTER.
Note: Please replace the tag with passwords which you want to set for the administrator account.
    6. type exitand press ENTER.
7 log off the current user account.

HOW to: Enable the build-in the administrator account in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555910

If the steps above does not resolve the question suggest that you try to restore the system from the mode or using the disk safe.

To use the Windows recovery environment, you must have the Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation disc. To start the Windows recovery environment, follow these steps:

    1.

Insert the installation disc into the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    2.

Press a key when you are prompted.

    3.

Select a language, time and currency and keyboard or input method, and then click on Next.

    4.

    Click on your computer repair.

    5.

In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click the operating system you want to repair, and then click on Next.

In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click System Restore to restore the operating system to the restore point created before the problem occurred.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

    All the best!

    Thanks and greetings

  • How can I disable the guest user to close the PC while the Admin is connected?

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. I found out how to disable the guest user closing at all via the local security policy, but then they can't stop even if the Admin account is offline.

To clarify a bit, say I want to give my PC to someone, I usually click on change user and connect using the guest account. In this way, they can't access my account because it asks for a password. I want that in such a case, they should not be able to stop the PC as my admin account is always logged.

However, if someone booted the PC themselves and use the guest account, then they should be able to close too, as my Admin account has not been connected.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. I discovered how to disable the guest user closing all through local security policy.

It is the correct method. It is as robust as it is unconditional.

If you want to have your cake and eat it the guest account must use a powerful "agent" to perform the functions of judgment. A scheduled task would be such an agent. It might work as follows:

    1. Create a scheduled task that runs Script1 to perform these tasks:
-Check if the C:\Shutdown\Shutdown.txt file exists.
-If not, the output of the script.
-If this is the case, delete Shutdown.txt.
-Check if there is an administrator session. If so, the output of the script.
S ' there is no live administrator session, shut down the computer by using shutdown.exe.
The task must run under an administrator account once every 3 minutes.
    2. Create a shortcut on the desktop for the Guest user calling Script2 for these tasks:
-Check if there is an administrator session.
-If this is the case, create a pop-up to inform the user that the machine cannot be stopped.
-If it is not, create the C:\Shutdown\Shutdown.txt file. The scheduled task will 'see' this file and will stop the machine.

There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Use the password indicator (only works if an indicator was created and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
