• Lightroom keywords do not register

  To import my files I add keywords as I have been in the past.  They appear in the window keyword, but when I press on enter they disappear and appear not to be save in the various categories.  Is this a known problem or is there something that I am missing?   Windows! 0 Lightroom CC 2015

  By default, keywords in Lightroom exist in the Lightroom database and are legible of in Lightroom. You can change this behavior so that the keywords are written in files photos themselves (or in the case of RAW photos in a file of .xmp sidecar). Then, these keywords are visible/searchable by your operating system and other applications. For Lightroom to write key words, you use the metadata command-> write metadata to the files (or select the option to do this automatically).

  Lightroom has frequently assigns a previous keyword in my list of keywords to new photos when importing. It always affect the same key word, which is not correct for my new images. I can attribute keywords new/correct, but I don't understand why it keeps enforcement of this old/incorrect keyword more?

  As a quickie test, set apply when importing > metadata to zero and import a picture.  Check that the key word is not applied to the photo.  Assuming that it is not, then change your copyright preset, scroll down to the keywords section and make sure that keywords is not checked:

  After so many updates Lightroom Mobile (new today), there is still no keywording functionality in this app otherwise very good. The community asked for it since the first day.   This is a user forum in which Adobe is rarely involved.  You can add your vote and notice to this feature in the Adobe official feedback forum request: Lightroom Mobile: possibility to do keywording in motion.  A large number of people have asked keywording, and Adobe has yet to meet there.  Adobe say they read all posts in this forum, if they meet rarely.

• Elements of tags in Lightroom keywords AND maintain the structure?

  Hi, I would spend using elements to use Lightroom. While I realize that I can import my catalog and photos, which should also create all my keywords, I fear that the structure of parent/child of existing keywords/tags would be lost? They would be created as a single list contiguous?

  Can anyone confirm this is the case, and if so, someone knows how to move the tags through all retaining the original structure AND remains associated with correct pictures?

  I moved to Lightroom elements last year.

  The structure of the catalog has remained exactly the same.

  Simply use the menu option in LR to import your catalog of items converted him.  It is in the file menu somewhere.

• Question Lightroom keyword

  Greetings. I use the 64-bit version of LR3.3 on Windows 7, but I had this problem since the upgrade. I have a long list of keywords. I find if I develop my keywords keyword to the low third list are not selectable, even though it shows how many photos is marked with them. If I open a metadata filter and scroll down to the bottom of my keyword column I get the same results. However, if I do a search and specify a key word in this way it will bring up the photos. I have not found anything in the forums regarding this issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  I read somewhere on this forum that there is a problem with long lists. I had to do with the quantity maximum lines that can, but put in a window. You can to the nesting of use (continued) key words.

  I developed a page of the OFA with advanced search. The user enters the value, click on 'GO' assume that if the user enters the search value as '123' search then returns 123, 1234,12345,123456 so.

  If user enters '12345' that look up values, then it returns "12345" 123456 ". In my view, the system uses 'like' operator during the search. I want the result to the exact value. Could you please help.

• Download issue update of Lightroom 3 on Windows 7 Professional

  I have Lightroom 3 running with Windows 7 and get the message that I need to download an update from version 3.2 to version 3.6.

  When I followed the download instructions, I get this error message:

• Issue of Photoshop/Lightroom AppData

  Your "Users" folder, including your pictures folder, unless you have changed, is located on a network share and LR seeks to create its catalog somewhere under there, which is not allowed.  I guess Adobe that all users folder is located on their local disk.

  In any case, to create a catalog somewhere else, press on and hold the Alt (Windows) key while LR starts and you will get a list of catalogs to choose if there is a button to create a new catalog and there you should be able to change the path to c:\whatever.

  I think to make the package 9.99 Photoshop/Lightroom, but I already own and have installed a current copy of Lightroom 5. Could this result in no problem when I download the Photoshop/Lightroom cc version. If so, what should I do to avoid problems?

  If you already have a subscription to Lightroom, then what you need to do is to launch Lightroom and it must ask the 5.2 update automatically. In case you don't see any prompt to auto launch Lightroom/go to help at the top right and search for updates. It should show you 5.2 updates.

• Watermark issue 4.4 Lightroom jpeg export

  Not sure about older versions of LR because I only tried this on LR 4.4... After I edited my Raw photographed by Nikon D600 images, I want to export them as JPEGs with my watermark. The watermark will not display if I exported the images in original size (6016 x 4016) shot. However, the watermark works fine if I resize the images to a smaller size, such as 1200 x 1024. Everyone knows the same problem? How can I work around it?

  Whatever the rights / wrongs on the export of JPEGs full resolution, the problem you describe sounds like the bug of long date watermark. Basically, there are certain circumstances that a textual watermark will not appear on the exported jpeg format, and the factors influencing this are the following:

  The font used for the watermark... that some fonts may be affected, e.g. Lucida calligraphy is a. But even in this case the bug can't happen, because it also depends on:

  (a) the pixel dimensions specified for the output file. The larger pixel size, the risk is that the bug doesn't bite (as you have already discovered).

  and/or

  size b) proportional representation as specified in the watermark editor... yet more size, more likely it is the bug will bite.

  Workarounds are:

  (1) try another font.

  (2) try to reduce the size in pixels for the output file.

  (3) or try to reduce the new proportional size.

• Private keyword with synonyms exported tags?

  With Lightroom 3.4.1 there is a known issue with the private keyword export tags? I have a few tags that have "Include on export" unchecked, and I never check "Write keywords as Lightroom hierarchy." Despite this, I saw them in the exported files. It seems to be those who have synonyms.
