Lightroom keyword attributes

Lightroom has frequently assigns a previous keyword in my list of keywords to new photos when importing. It always affect the same key word, which is not correct for my new images. I can attribute keywords new/correct, but I don't understand why it keeps enforcement of this old/incorrect keyword more?

under "Metadata" took me to apply only my copyright.

As a quickie test, set apply when importing > metadata to zero and import a picture.  Check that the key word is not applied to the photo.  Assuming that it is not, then change your copyright preset, scroll down to the keywords section and make sure that keywords is not checked:

  • Issue of Advanced Lightroom Keywording

    Hi all!

Please, help me to solve the task advanced Keywording.

I want to assign multiple keywords level 2 images. For example, for a photo, I want to be able to assign:

    (1) [category]-> [keywords] sex : male, female;

    (2) [category]-> [keywords] location : Studio,Street, building, Nature;

    (3) [category]-> [keywords] Position: standing, sitting, asking;

    (4) [category]-> [keywords] wear : Jeans, shirts, down, pants, dress, blouse, skirt, shirt, Suite,... etc.

So, I want to see an interface with:

    (a) the image itself;

    (b) predefined categories (sex, location, Position, wear etc.);

    (c) predefined keywords grouped by categories

and select key words in each category (click on it).

Is it possible to do through Lightroom?

    How?

If not, what software can help me in this matter?

    Thank you!

If you create hierarchical keywords in Lightroom, then you can use the control panel list of keywords on the right side.

  • On a computer that does not Lightroom Lightroom keywords

I work in a company where we are 15 employees, only two of the computers have Adobe (and Lightroom). We need a program that can manage our photos, but I can't understand, if Lightroom would be the solution?

The keywords will be viewable on computers without Lightroom? I never used Lightroom, but after searching the Internet, I see that you need to import a catalog when you move around the keywords/images. I'll be the only person working with these pictures on a disk online, but my work will be beneficial for other employees?

By default, keywords in Lightroom exist in the Lightroom database and are legible of in Lightroom. You can change this behavior so that the keywords are written in files photos themselves (or in the case of RAW photos in a file of .xmp sidecar). Then, these keywords are visible/searchable by your operating system and other applications. For Lightroom to write key words, you use the metadata command-> write metadata to the files (or select the option to do this automatically).

  • With mobile lightroom keywords

After so many updates Lightroom Mobile (new today), there is still no keywording functionality in this app otherwise very good. The community asked for it since the first day. Why is she so reluctant to acknowledge same Adobe? Is it still considered in future updates? Is he beyond Adobe programming capabilities to include this type of functionality in a mobile application?

Any response or recognition would be good and appreciated.

This is a user forum in which Adobe is rarely involved.  You can add your vote and notice to this feature in the Adobe official feedback forum request: Lightroom Mobile: possibility to do keywording in motion.  A large number of people have asked keywording, and Adobe has yet to meet there.  Adobe say they read all posts in this forum, if they meet rarely.

  • Elements of tags in Lightroom keywords AND maintain the structure?

Hi, I would spend using elements to use Lightroom. While I realize that I can import my catalog and photos, which should also create all my keywords, I fear that the structure of parent/child of existing keywords/tags would be lost? They would be created as a single list contiguous?

Can anyone confirm this is the case, and if so, someone knows how to move the tags through all retaining the original structure AND remains associated with correct pictures?

    Thank you

    Gareth

I moved to Lightroom elements last year.

The structure of the catalog has remained exactly the same.

Simply use the menu option in LR to import your catalog of items converted him.  It is in the file menu somewhere.

  • Question Lightroom keyword

Greetings. I use the 64-bit version of LR3.3 on Windows 7, but I had this problem since the upgrade. I have a long list of keywords. I find if I develop my keywords keyword to the low third list are not selectable, even though it shows how many photos is marked with them. If I open a metadata filter and scroll down to the bottom of my keyword column I get the same results. However, if I do a search and specify a key word in this way it will bring up the photos. I have not found anything in the forums regarding this issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you.

I read somewhere on this forum that there is a problem with long lists. I had to do with the quantity maximum lines that can, but put in a window. You can to the nesting of use (continued) key words.

  • How can I stop keywords exported metadata in Lightroom5 category?

I use LR 5.0 and have a list of hierarchical keywords with the keywords in categories (e.g. location) to make it easier to manage the list, but I don't want the category labels exported in the metadata as keywords. I have disabled checkbox "include on export" on these words, but they are always exported metadata. How to avoid this problem?

I see what is happening.  First of all, a LR terminology: 'export', invoking the file > export command to make copies of the photo selected outside LR.  It seems that you are not be 'export' but rather 'the metadata record", referring to metadata > save metadata to a file to write the back catalog metadata to cataloged photos (or you have the option on which does this automatically).

The keyword attribute include on export applies to export, but do not save the metadata.  In a workflow type LR, when you want to provide copies of your photos to another person, organization or service, you export and register on Export has the desired effect on the exported copies.

If you really want the metadata in the pictures catalogued to exclude a keyword, you must go to each of the children of this key word and deselect the attribute export containing keywords.   Which will cause the parent keyword are excluded the metadata stored in the files.  (Yes, it's incompatible, but that's life with LR).  Unfortunately, there is no way to change a set of key words of the lot - you have to change each one individually.  If you may wonder if it is really important that your private photos copies contain the words 'category' in their metadata.

  • Import of Capture One in Lightroom

If I import a picture of Capture One in Lightroom keywords that I added in Capture One will also appear in Lightroom? Will be imported metadata?

You cannot import directly from Capture One in Lightroom.

You must first save as a TIF or JPG in Capture One. If you perform the backup so that keywords are included in the saved file, then yes Lightroom will recognize them.

  • In Lightroom 6 and Windows Live Photo Gallery people tags

I think I'm finally ready for WLPG lightroom for photo management. I used LR for a long time to make the changes but people tags are huge and kept all my photo in WLPG management. I have 100 photos organized k and they are all marked in WLPG people. I just started the trial LR6 and noticed that it is not honor people WLPG existing tags. Is it possible to import / to avoid making people for 100 k photos tags? Who will simply not happen.

Aside - people tags and coordinates with outputs export JPGs of LR6 (assuming that I do not intentionally disable them export), correct?

Here is the solution for the tags in face of windows to Lightroom for me photo gallery. Don't forget to back up your files.

    Back up your files *.

Step 1: Mopve the names of persons and the rectangles for people in a different field in the metadata of .jpg

    Download Exiftool

I executed the command below to the command prompt and in the folder with exiftool and the configuration file found from the link below:

    exiftool.exe - config ExifTool_config_convert_regions '-regioninfo.

"nom_de_dossier" is the folder / path that you want to change to. m does not take into account the minor errors, - r contains subfolders, - crush... means he will NOT create the backup by default if not for each change of the file (filename.jpg_original).

Copy face tags Windows Photo Gallery for Google Picasa

Step 2: Move the names of people to key words for Lightroom. To do this, if you use lightroom, do not if you use picassa. I have not been able to verify, but I guess I'll have to "convert a person tag" in lightroom keywords since they show that descriptive labels, but I tried everything.

Add the names of people using keywords

    ExifTool "-xmp:subject + '.

Where FolderName is the folder / path the photos that you want to change are in

  • Exporting keyword sets

Is it possible to export keyword for a computer games and import them into Lightroom on another?

    Jens,

If I understand you correctly, you are looking for a transfer of the fixedkeword and not the keywords found in the list.

The keyword sets are stored in the LR presets folder (on Windows it comes to '%appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Keyword games'. You can copy them to a computer in the same folder on another computer.

Another solution would be to choose "Store Presets with Catalog", but this has implications more far away (see here).

Disk space can be neglected. After automatically can slow your system a little bit, but it takes place in the background.

  • Invalid keywords added during import

    Hello

Lightroom keeps mysteriously add keywords every time I import a JPEG file on the hard drive. To be more precise, I import the Raw files, no problem. Export to TIFF for photoshop, save the Tiff and create a JPEG web version in PS. Then, when I import the web version, Lightroom adds the same incorrect keywords.

Here's what I tried to correct the problem:

    1. I made sure that the keywords in the import dialog box is completely empty and that no one model of metadata is selected.

    2. I deleted all metadata models.

    3. I deleted all these metadata and off the keyword suggestions.

    4. to be sure, I open the same file in photoshop before importing to lightroom and checked that these keywords were not added.

I'm using version 2.5, 16 bit, PC version

I searched through the forums, found similar questions, but can't seem to find a solution to my problem.

    My import Menu

    Import 1.jpg

    My metadata Presets

    Import 2.jpg

Lightroom keywords with all mysteriously added Paris keywords.

    Import 3.jpg

The key words of the same exact file in Photoshop

    Import 4.jpg

I don't think that you can do in the world, but when you change a keyword, you can choose not not to register export. Including parents also seem to be on a per keyword basis.

  • "Unexpected error catalog" in LR 5 after I updated Windows

I get an error message after I have updated to Windows 10. Say that it cannot open this catalog.
    Worked fine with Windows 7.
All updated to Windows 10 and received this error message?
Is it simply an "update my Adobe" or a problem of 'Windows '?

And (sigh): If I lost my job?

I updated to Windows 7 10/29 and Lightroom worked very well for me.  Until today when Lightroom update.  Then I started getting the "unexpected error catalog."  And I tried to use a backup of the catalog, but he always had the same message.  Fortunately, I found this forum thread and I tried to change the Lightroom.exe attributes and set it to always run as administrator.  Navigate to the file, right click on properties, go to the Compatibility tab and check "run this program as Administrator" always.  However, now when I run it I get a warning of account control user asking if I want to allow the program to make changes to my system.  After clicking Yes it works very well.  I will probably now have to disable user account control warning!  What happened to Adobe?

  • export of IPTC location information

When I export a collection of images in Lightroom keywords and description so that copyright etc all come just with them.  IPTC location information does not (despite checking 'all' in the window export) how can I get the tags of country, State, city, secondary, I added the files to export?

Why NOTHING does the IPTC extension Panel?

LR metadata fields > IPTC Extension Panel fill in the fields that appear under the panels Extension IPTC Photoshop and bridge.   Although they have in common some labels, the Extension and Core fields are actually completely separate groups of fields.

How do you get the fields to fill in the main draw instead?

I can't help on that.  I think that you can customize in Photoshop and Bridge metadata panels (for example, see this thread), but it seems pretty involved and only partially documented.
