  By Epson support, I was told that what follows is a Microsoft issue.

  I have a printer Epson WF 3520. I use Windows 7 64-bit. I tried the drivers to load the disc that came with the printer / scanner and also tried loading new drivers from the site of the such Epsom as advised by them.

  I did this a lot, a lot of time uninstalling and deleting the files appropriate between attempts.

  Support very good printer drivers and I can print wireless with no problems.

  But I can't load the drivers scanner no matter what I do. Whenever I try, I get the message "cannot load drivers scanner.

  Successfully, I loaded the drivers and used the printer and the scanner on two other laptops - a running the same version of Windows 7 and Windows 8 running.

  I suggest you to download and install the latest Chipset driver on the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

  I suggest you to use Visual keyboard to type the password on the login screen and check if it works.

• Dell XPS 13 TrackPad issues after driver update

  After updating my XPS 13 Cypress Ultrabook drivers for newer drivers published yesterday on the Support from Dell downloads page, every action (although still active) have stopped working. The trackpad itself always seems to work fine after the update of the driver, but no gestures work longer. They all worked just before the update.

  I tried the normal game of toggle, restart, update. But if someone has had this problem or knows how to solve?

  After much research and with the help of Terry B with send me a second XPS 13 and taking my previous one back to the laboratory, I found that the issue is actually with my Antivirus software. I use AVG, and I am at a loss to explain how, but I can restore scrolling and other gestures to uninstall. I can reproduce again lose its Setup again and perform a restart.

  I am at a loss as to what why, AVG allows the driver to start and work properly by any other measure, however, I'm on the verge of scrolling of web pages for a new virus scanner!

• HP never will issue a driver Windows 7 for Color Laserjet 3500

  When I did installs it of Win 7 months ago, my 3500 worked and could be shared.  When I had to do an install of Win 7 a few days ago, I lost the support of this printer.  All the facilities were "upgrades" to XP.  He worked for months.

  I must be printing color later this week.  My HP laserjet 5000 printer has been supported for 15 years.  The 3500, 6 years then nothing.  Everyone at HP can give me a good reason to buy their printers never again?

  PS, none of the workarounds posted here work for the 3500.  Note that none of the 3500 inquueries are "resolved".

  So, no reason to not to drop this 3500 in a trash can and go Ricoh HP forever?

  HP will selectively issue loyalty or product drivers for OS updates, based on cost considerations rather than questions of customer lifecycle.

  The positive side to that is that I'll save a lot of money in the future, now that I know that HP loyalty is one-way.  Now I can shop strictly on the life-cycle cost and performance!

  My laptop is HP Pavilion n023sy 15. There is no driver official support for Windows 7 for this laptop.

  I managed to install Windows 7 64 x on it, with the necessary drivers from other distributions of the HP series. And the only question is left - wireless network adapter. I installed the driver Qualcomm Atheros WLAN 9485 without problem ("Device Manager" presents, it's working properly "), the card is activated. BUT it is there no 'Wireless network search' icon in the status bar. When diagnosing the adapter, it says... «the adapter problems...» "and barrulet shows yellow exclamation mark inside. It seems he's trying to find any router in the area, but can not (Control Panel-> network) and Internet-> "Add a wireless device to the network".

  I have a hundred times already uninstalled the driver of it, installed a different driver versions; tried to install drivers RaLink and Realtek WLAN, which were all.

  Could you advice me, guys, what should I do and how to solve the problem with the wireless network card?

• DVD - RW won't read disk 2 of the installation of the game AION (all no longer then my drive auto ejects cd)

  Hello people, I thank you advance for reading and considering my problem.
  My problem is trying to install the AION game.
  Installing the game is separated into two discs. Disk 1 installs perfectly, when you are prompted to enter the disk 2, I go into the drive, then my DVD - RW (AD - 7203A) behaves as if the bed, she starts a loop a sound treatment, all at the same time everything is unresponsive.
  I tried to install other games and they install fine, and I JUST bought this bloody game, not visible scratches or anything.
  I tried to go in my computer and my drive D:\ to explore and perhaps to copy the contents of the CD to the hard drive, right click and yet still once the GAL from the computer for a good 20-30 seconds, unresponsive, then when its over with non-response, if I try to open explore or basically do anything with the D drive (this is my dvd - rw) it automatically ejects the CD.   Hey Manoka:

  Do not know if you purchased a boxed product or digital download of Aion; in both cases, I would give the same answer.  Unfortunately, I think you have a faulty drive.  If you bought a physical copy, it could be a bad pressing or even a certain flaw surface, that you can not see.  If you burned the disc and they tried to install (don't think you would have to do what any downloaded game should install directly from your hard drive), then it could be any number of defects.

  For physical purchase: I would return the disc instead of purchase.  Most places have no problem taking software back (usually within 7 to 30 days), even if open for disk defects.  I expect that they would simply replace your copy of the product by a new one.  WARNING: most of the time, you will need to return not only the drive defective, but full product: all disks, packaging, promo codes, etc...  Be prepared to do WHAT you've got, reception included, when you try a return.

  For digital download: three options really.  (1) If you have saved on your hard disk, try to install directly from where you saved the file. (2) If you have to burn a disc, use a new blank disc and make sure that you choose the option "error checking" then the engraving; or (2) re - download it from your drive hard/burn provider and reattempt digital process.

  I did a search in the official technical support forums Aion and did not see someone else pointing out faulty disk problems.  I always recommend you take advantage of all the Aion community, as it was pretty impressive.  Here is the link: http://na.aiononline.com/forums/

• ATC-710-ES61 Horrible Internet high speed - Win10 issue or driver network

  Brand new TC-710.  Windows 10 pre installed.  Internet connection should be up to 5 MB/s and I only get just below 2/s.

  Internet provider came out to check the modem (I'm on a wired connection, btw).  Their laptop connected to 5 Mbps but the desktop PC showed 1.8 its best test.  They had no solution, and my window to return is in place in the coming days.

  Is this a problem of Windows 10 which can be easily solved, or are there problems with the netword card adapter / (what's his name).

  I will get the owner (my father in another city) to turn off the automatic update, uninstall mcafee bloating and try the test of speed on chrome and firefox to make sure it isn't Windows Edge for some reason any.

  Any other owners with this question or someone can suggest a fix or a way to test his modem/network adapter (sorry, I don't know what it's called).

  Also, regarding the modem/adapter - that this PC comes with - I want it is driver/firmware or anything that is up to date and not the cause.

  His old computer was a relic of Windows Vista, but the speed was always close to max it's so this thing with all his power etc is not good for him like that.

• XPS 8700: Issue of drive configuration

  On my 8700 XPS running Windows 7, I intend to use an external drive connected to one of the SATA motherboard ports eSATA occasionally, but the external hard drive is not permanently attached and running.  Which of these wirings of disk configuration is not OK:

  Scenario one:

  • SATA 0: hard drive
  • SATA 1: eSATA, but normally no drive connected.  Sometimes an external drive would be attached. (this should be enabled/disabled in the BIOS every time?).
  • SATA 2: optical drive

  Scenario 2:

  • SATA 0: hard drive
  • SATA 1: optical drive
  • SATA 2: eSATA, but normally no drive connected.  Sometimes an external drive would be attached. (this should be to be enabled/disabled in the BIOS everytime?).

  Hi Lone Star,

  It should make no difference. However, you can assign a drive letter on the external drive, so it does not change other drive letter assignments when you connect the eSATA drive.

• Auto Dial-Up Box appearing

  Hi, I have this problem with my Windows Vista; I use an Inspiron 1501. The problem is that when the pages don't load, my dial-up box appears automatically, asking me if I want to connect. This is not really a problem if he did not appear permanently on some websites that load perfectly fine. It's also embarrassing when I disconnect Internet and gmail is open, and he keeps trying to connect to gmail talk, which makes dial-up box appear...   I've upgraded to the 11.0.03 drive and can no longer print .pdf files in Mac OS 10.8.4 I get the print dialog box, but when you attempt to print get a pop up "the document could not be printed", and then "there is no pages selected to print.

  Once it goes to the dialog box print, you have essentially left drive and work in Mountain Lion. This may be a drive setting, but when you have installed the reader XI he retained all the preferences of X, then it is unlikely that the only installation did.

  You can try a "clean install":

  Download a trial of AppZapper.
  It allows to delete files reader XI and all preferences and the .plist.

  Download and reinstall the XI player and see if it changes.
  If it is not it is more likely the printer.
