    Hello

There is a strange problem in my PC. Recently, I haven't used the PC for a few days, but when I turned it on today, could hear a fan noise noisy coming to the PC with the diagnostic lights 1, 3 and 4 illuminated and a white screen in power save. I tried to understand what happened and when I pressed on the DVI plug into the slot of the PC, the PC fan slows down (at normal speed) and the PC began to start. It happened every time you start (in this case, twice). Remedies?

  • Issue of fan on my Satellite A500-19U

    Hello

My laptop started to overheat almost every 30 minutes in the last two days and my fan is the exact opposite of its original purpose. When the temperature is about 40-45% the fan is running at 60-70%, but when it starts to heat up and reached 80%, as the fan slows to 15-20%.

Is there anyway to manually configure the fan to continue working at 90% or something? I just cleaned my laptop just now (2 weeks or something.)

    Thank you.

    > My laptop started to overheat almost every 30 min
What exactly happens? laptop is enough hot or what?

    > I just cleaned my laptop just now (2 weeks or something.)
    How did you do that?

For daily use I recommend to use the balanced diet and in advanced power management plan set method in battery optimized cooling option. After having done that, your laptop should run much quieter.

I have restored my Satellite L655 Windows 7 with 2 CD I created when I bought my

The fan starts again if I restart the PC.

To be honest I don t understand your problem. As far as I know cooling fan is controlled automatically to make it work if necessary.

  • Issue of fan on Satellite A100 speed

    Hello

I noticed that after about an hour to be switched-(fan of the note is already low), the fan accelerates by amount and maintaines he until I turn it off, however it does not accelerate to full speed, it just stays at medium speed.

This has not happened before, but I first noticed it since I've updated the BIOS this morning.

Is this a problem? and has anyone noticed something similar?

    It's an A100-225

    Thank you

    Hi guys

There s nothing wrong if the fan operates at a lower speed. Wizad that you suggested that this happens because you have updated the BIOS. It seems that the BIOS has been changed and so the fan runs continuously with low speed. In my opinion, it's much better as the restless fan rotation. The fan runs constantly but more silent.

Don t be happy to worry ;)

  • Satellite L655-11j - issue of fan of Lola, fix it myself

Hey, sorry for this thread, but I wanted to share my experience with you hope it helps someone someday, as I like Toshiba and I think that it the best :)

NOTE, this is for my model only, you can have different bios and it will not work for you, so use at YOUR OWN RISK

I was playing NFS rival as always all of a sudden my laptop off, the lights were off, and it won't turn.

I unplugged he waited a while, plugged and it worked, except that the fan was working all the time @ average speed and if the laptop went to sleep mode, the fan does not at all, and an error message will appear Windows I have to take my laptop for repair because of the cooling (can not remember exactly the message)

I tired a lot nothing worked I won't explain it will take some time, I was afraid to work on my laptop with the fan always on at average speed, doing it could damage the CPU or GPU.

I re-flashed the BIOS again that solved my problem. now the fan is off, when there is some CPU or use GPU it will work at the 3 speed (low medium high) depends on the load and heat :)

but to Flash my bios again there some tweak, first of all, I could not download new cause of the bios, don't show me no result in the download page (hope someone can help with the download page http://www.toshibamea.com/en/Download-Files of fixing).

so I tried my old one I downloaded long ago, but it does not update because this is not a new version, so I extracted the exe using 7-zip, edited the file platform.ini flag from 1 to 0, I copy and you can read the explanation and execution of InsydeFlash.exe so re-flashed my bios and my fan works again :)

    [Bios_Version_Check]
    flag = 0

; This indicator is the Version of Bios checking switch. When the indicator is 1, utility will be
; check the Version of the Bios. If the rom Version file is older that the Bios utility will display warnning
; message and close the application. When the flag is 0, utility not to check the version of the rom file.
; When the indicator is 2, that depend on the BIOS report.

Thank you very much for your interesting thread and share your experience with your Toshi.
It's very nice that you take seriously and write clear words on the risk to do something like that.

Good luck and happy new year. :)

  • Issue of fan noise

I've seen a few posts on this topic but does not know if it is a universal problem or random. Was taken with my F5 and really noticed the fan noise today. I switched it off auto during recording who works at first, but later the fan again even while recording. Is what happens to the camera for everyone and will be fixed with an update or a problem on random cameras?

I really hope there is a solution. I turned 'off' fan, but it lights up again. In a quiet environment, this will be a problem.

  • Issue of fan of HP G62 laptop, fan no longer works HELP

Basically, I have a HP G60 laptop and cleaned my fan of compressed air and it stopped my laptop computer overheating etc. etc.

HOWEVER, my other half has a HP G62 laptop and its fan is STRONG and is about to overheat and stop.

So I used can of compressed air to clean his fan BUT he completely stopped turning and now I get the error message saying that the fan is not functioning and is not advised to continue with normal use.

I can get on windows. but compressed air (which EVERYBODY recommends) seems to have completely either broke the fan the fan or the dust blown away and arrested.

After several attempts to reboot it came the short do this ticking noise as if the blades have reached something like it leader (who was slow I might add).

Maybe WHAT the bios has detected the fan was blocked and stopped trying to turn? I don't know that I need help or advice before I dismantle it to clean the fan manually.

I know it's quite tedious to an amateur. fans should be the easiest thing to take the most difficult step, but oh, well...

    HELP PLEASE

Above all, the "right way" consists of disconnect everything (power, battery, any external devices).

    using short, clean air, chips

blowing in the direction that the fan is running normally.

It is possible to make a bad situation worse, of course, but nothing could possibly have a similar end result: laptop on the work table.

Trying to fix something is a good thing in my book.

Failure is never the result of the test, the failure is the result of inaction.

Replace the thermal paste goes beyond to replace a fan. This works.  It may or may not be a DIY project.  As long as you don't actually damage the harddrive (s), at least the data must be secure, even if you damage more the system.

If the girlfriend isn't happy, all things in the universe may end up like the fan.  You could ask him how she wants to go forward - it is his cell phone, Yes?

I do not give advice to hard core on the material, I do not see; I hesitate to give that advice on hw I can see if it's not mine.  I have backup systems - if you don't (and therefore cannot do without this system for a long time if you can't fix it fast), then you can consider having the box repaired by a person who is not personally involved.  It might be much less traumatic.

No matter what you choose, make sure that everyone is in agreement on the action plan.

No matter what you're doing next to what happened to bring you here.  The smile.

BTW: I'm a firm believer in coolers for laptop.  Something to consider for later... You can do a search on my many posts on the subject.  I tend not to "go" on the subject.  The smile.

    Good luck!

  • issue of fan 90 b

Menu of boot HP pavilion dv6 said fan 90 b does not?  Any ideas on what to do? Menu start only for 15 seconds then stops...

    Hello

Fan Fan does not properly 90 B The system fan may be faulty.

For more information on troubleshooting heat related problems, see the fan runs continuously, the PC working slow than expected and generates the heat .

It is also recommended that you perform a hard reset, because that can sometimes restore the system to the operating state fan. For more information, see reset and use, to solve software problems .

  • T61 issue of Fan: turns silently to the POST, and then never...

    All,

Any thoughts on what is happening here?

I have a T61 with a 15.4 screen "and the Intel video subsystem. After about 10 minutes of operation under Windows, the system shuts down, and after that my wife brought this to my attention, I have observed that there is no flow of air coming out of the vent and the underside of the computer is very very hot. Fan death, right?

So, I open the T61 upward, leaving the trackpad and keyboard connected and turn on, hoping to check a fan of bad/loud/clogged. Well, the fan starts spinning at the POST and it does so freely and so in silence, and after a few seconds, it turns down, never to go back to the top.

There is no error message FAN ERROR on the screen at the POSITION either.

This seems to be more a problem of controller fan than a problem real fan.

Someone at - it advice or ideas?

My gut reaction is that simply replace the fan will translate the new fan does exactly the same thing, but maybe someone can put me straight or share their experiences similar here with me.

    Thank you

    Warr

Turn down the fan after POST is normal, but it should turn on again during or after startup.

Please check the fan side, if they are blocked by dust. Block the propeller fan with a match or tooth-pick and blow compressed air from the outside through the sides into the heat sink.

You should also take a look under the radiator and replace the thermal paste on the processor by a new. You can leave the thermal pads if they are not damaged.
