Issue of fan of HP G62 laptop, fan no longer works HELP
Basically, I have a HP G60 laptop and cleaned my fan of compressed air and it stopped my laptop computer overheating etc. etc.
HOWEVER, my other half has a HP G62 laptop and its fan is STRONG and is about to overheat and stop.
So I used can of compressed air to clean his fan BUT he completely stopped turning and now I get the error message saying that the fan is not functioning and is not advised to continue with normal use.
I can get on windows. but compressed air (which EVERYBODY recommends) seems to have completely either broke the fan the fan or the dust blown away and arrested.
After several attempts to reboot it came the short do this ticking noise as if the blades have reached something like it leader (who was slow I might add).
Maybe WHAT the bios has detected the fan was blocked and stopped trying to turn? I don't know that I need help or advice before I dismantle it to clean the fan manually.
I know it's quite tedious to an amateur. fans should be the easiest thing to take the most difficult step, but oh, well...
HELP PLEASE
Above all, the "right way" consists of disconnect everything (power, battery, any external devices).
using short, clean air, chips
blowing in the direction that the fan is running normally.
It is possible to make a bad situation worse, of course, but nothing could possibly have a similar end result: laptop on the work table.
Trying to fix something is a good thing in my book.
Failure is never the result of the test, the failure is the result of inaction.
Replace the thermal paste goes beyond to replace a fan. This works. It may or may not be a DIY project. As long as you don't actually damage the harddrive (s), at least the data must be secure, even if you damage more the system.
If the girlfriend isn't happy, all things in the universe may end up like the fan. You could ask him how she wants to go forward - it is his cell phone, Yes?
I do not give advice to hard core on the material, I do not see; I hesitate to give that advice on hw I can see if it's not mine. I have backup systems - if you don't (and therefore cannot do without this system for a long time if you can't fix it fast), then you can consider having the box repaired by a person who is not personally involved. It might be much less traumatic.
No matter what you choose, make sure that everyone is in agreement on the action plan.
No matter what you're doing next to what happened to bring you here. The smile.
BTW: I'm a firm believer in coolers for laptop. Something to consider for later... You can do a search on my many posts on the subject. I tend not to "go" on the subject. The smile.
Good luck!

According to the message that you posted, I suspect that this could be a hardware problem where in your message 'the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work properly' get. It is a mechanical failure and the cooling of your laptop fan might have to be replaced before the laptop starts with an overheating problem.
Note: I guess you should get error number 90 b ' "which confirms the hardware failure
Causes/reasons for this problem:
1. sometimes, it's just because of the dust, animal pet hair slows down the fan
Follow these steps to drain/release the static load of your laptop as shown below:
Step 01. You need to clean all vents and openings that are really good with a can of compressed air
Step 02. Please set the default BIOS

HP computer GB laptop cooling fan no longer works
I have a HP G72 laptop that is three years old. The cooling fan suddenly no longer works
You certainly don't want to run the laptop without the fan working properly. If you, the laptop overheats and will more that likely questions much more expensive and more permanent fix.
The fans are completely interchangeable, but this isn't a task that most people feel comfortable doing. A shop will charge you a little, because it requires nearly all computer laptop disassembly. If you want to watch by yourself, the room is usually available for $20 or less and you can find some tutorials that will guide you through the entire process.

Hi all
I have a dv6-6136tx, I've had for about 2 years now. Just recently (earlier today) my fan stopped just playing a game. The processor was about 78 degrees Celsius and the gpu at 72 clecius.
Is there a particular reason for this? Is there anyway to prevent it to do?
any help would be appreciated!
For some reason, the specifications were not on the HP site.
Page 90 of this Manual details the different fans and heatsinks available for different models of laptop computers DV6. You'll need to match with the processor part number and the system of the video card. Once you have the part number, you can search here. Be sure to select the right country at the top right.
I don't know if you are familiar with the terms discrete and UMA, so I'll give you the translation below.
Discrete video memory = dedicated memory. This means that the video card RAM does not the RAM of the system. Consider this as a dedicated compared to the integrated video card video card.
UMA = integrated video card memory. In other words, that it pulls the system RAM.
The store of the part or part surfer, should list if thermal paste is included. I never saw any still do include it, but it's a first for everything. I recommend using a paste heat cleaner to remove the old thermal paste and use the new thermal paste with the new heat sink. The fan is not sold separately, so might as well replace the heatsink as well.
Let me know how it goes.

Satellite A300-22F - after standby fan no longer works
I use Windows 7 Professional on my laptop. If the laptop goes from standby mode the fan works no more. The laptop overheats and stops.
How can I solve this problem?
Hello
Just a simple question: you may notice the same issue with the factory settings?
I ask this question because as Windows 7 isn't on the market yet and so I guess that this problem will result in Windows 7. It would be good to know if the same thing happens with preinstalled operating system (Vista?).

Replacing the fan should not be any problem for me, so I'm really counting on you, guys

My HP laptop cooling fan does not work.
Okay, so. I have a HP Pavilion 1145sg g6. It worked fine all morning, and then I put sleep temporarily (about ten to twenty minutes). When I went to turn it on, the screen was black and he said something along the lines of
"the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work correctly. Suite operation is not recommended at this time... may result in unpredictable behavior that may result closed random, loss of data or damage the system as possible. »
Then after a few seconds it stops completely. There is an option to continue with the summary of the system and I clicked once on it, but she didn't go through completely for allowing me to use my laptop properly (I arrived at my wallpaper and it stopped).
This has never happened before, and I never had any problem with my laptop, like this before. I have had him since last August, and it worked pretty well through until today. Of course, the system sometimes, accused but nothing serious, for the most part just aggravating.
How can I fix?
Someone said here that they stung the fan with a hairpin and it started working. I took a toothpick and switched my laptop and tried to move the fan and the fan started WALLA on! I noticed that a lot of dust in there and that's probably the culprit first event hough I keep this laptop clean every day, this darn dust is sneaky and small. If you use a toothpick, make sure not to break anything especially the toothpick. last thing you want to do is cause more harm. Now that I think I don't remember when the last fan worked and if it wasn't for the message that popped up today I would not of the same notice I wasn't to hear the fan because last week I said "wow is not the substance of this portable super hot feeling", but I just thought that my fiance was simply playing games on the computer for too long and that's why he was hot. He never closes the computer off smh. in any case, I'm very happy I read this post of a person using the PIN to hair. That's what forums are all about. Help each other. I hope it works for you. Be gentle, try pushing the way fan propellers in clockwise. Use a flashlight to see if dust or anything like that is by the way to allow the fan to run its on. I blew in the vents, but it did have almost all of the dust of the road. All of these messages, it seems this is a common problem. Good luck

Issue of fan on my Satellite A500-19U
Hello
My laptop started to overheat almost every 30 minutes in the last two days and my fan is the exact opposite of its original purpose. When the temperature is about 40-45% the fan is running at 60-70%, but when it starts to heat up and reached 80%, as the fan slows to 15-20%.
Is there anyway to manually configure the fan to continue working at 90% or something? I just cleaned my laptop just now (2 weeks or something.)
Thank you.
> My laptop started to overheat almost every 30 min
What exactly happens? laptop is enough hot or what?> I just cleaned my laptop just now (2 weeks or something.)
How did you do that? For daily use I recommend to use the balanced diet and in advanced power management plan set method in battery optimized cooling option. After having done that, your laptop should run much quieter.
