  Last night, I did a search and find one on eBay, and its cost is more than $70, just for a basic screen. Because you must pay for the cost of work on the top, I don't think it's the smart choice. Buy a new unit.

• Activate the vibration of the HP Slate 7 Extreme

  I installed an app that is supposed to give vibrations for notifications and all. However, it is not, and later I realize that even when I get a notification email, I get any vibrations. is it possible to activate it? or I can't?

  in reality slate 7 extreme doesn't have a physical vibrator in it. do you have what software installed? There could be another option to make a sound on the speaker who could be like a vibration noise.

  I have a Tablet slate extreme 7 ". You turn off the clicking it makes when I touch the screen. It is not good for the meetings.

  You can try one of the following:

  -Go to settings App/sounds/Touch sounds.  Uncheck the box.

  -Press and hold the Power button until a Menu appears with "Silent Mode" as an offering.  Select it to switch the muted.

  -Use your Volume button to activate the sound completely off (mute) function before entering the meeting!

• V10 - slate 7 Extreme

  Dear HP,

  Recently I see HP has just released a new Firmware, v10, at the extreme 7 slate device, but I don't know what has been updated.  Is there a log of the changes to explain the v10 from the v7 updates?

  The file size is greater than the previous version of 30 MB.  Any idea what has been to date and/or fixed?

  Dear WyreNut,

  I managed to figure out... the HP Documentation for the UPDATE is missing a step.  After #7, you must press the POWER BUTTON + VOLUME UP AGAIN to bring up the Options MENU.

  From there on, I was able to select UPDATE of external storage.

  Also, this UPDATE is the last update 4.3 JellyBean, so hopefully see 4.4.

• Why didn't the slate received Extreme 4.4 7? Here is the likely answer.

  It is now very clear to me why we S7E owners did not have a 4.4.2 update. It's really very simple. The version of Beats Audio absolutely identical (other than the speakers, periphery issues) came out and cost $50 more. It has 4.4.2 and gives a more differentiation between our S7E and Beats Audio version. So it seems that HP is just ignored us for the good of their tablet latest. I'm sure they could easily push the Beats Audio provided with exact update because this is an identical device in everything that is important. Well, I guess we just have to wait.

• Slate 7 Extreme - power behavior

  I got my tab 7 Extreme for a week now and generally like him, but today she showed unusual behaviour: firstly, after fully charged the unit from one day to the next I used for about an hour. When I tried to stop him he would not be stopped. After several tries I just held the button down and it stops after about 1 minute.   When you pressed it, what happened?  Nothing the menu remained, and he disappeared?

• HP Slate extreme: "Not compatible" with many games optimized Tegra.

  I bought the slate 7 Extreme mainly because of its capabilities of game and support this and other devices of Nvidia Tegra. The EVGA Tegra Note was not available at time of purchase, so after learning that the Extreme 7 slate was essentially the same tablet, I decided to buy this after some research. I was excited to test it, so I watched a few games through the Tegra Zone app. I found a number of very interesting research games and he was pleased to read in their descriptions that they have been optimized for processors Tegra (CPU very occupying this tablet) 4. However, when I went to the Google game store, I met with the message: "your device is not compatible with this version. This confused me because, according to the descriptions of games, these games should not only be compatible with this tablet, but they have been specially optimized for such a tablet. I did more research and found that EVGA tablet doesn't have this problem.

  Why am I not allowed to play some games that this tablet is obviously able to run? This question almost defeated the purpose of having this tablet. It is a big problem that needs to be address immediately.

  BTW: These are issues with the 7 Extreme 4400US slate.

  If NVIDIA TegraZone 2 says it's just for the shield NVIDIA platform and another device, then the NVIDIA forum seems to be the most logical place to inquire about this.

  NVIDIA has coded the specific game you are asking about the shield and Mad Catz console platform. They stated that there is no guarantee that it will work on all devices.

• Extreme 4403RA slate 7 - reports that there was a controller NVIDIA shield

  Has anyone experienced this with any game?  My new slate 7 extreme statement of GT Racing 2 (Gameloft) she has a NVIDIA Sheild attached controller device.  This is not the case - I have just a standard slate 7 Extreme with no modules.

  I have reported this to Gameloft but also want to post here to see if this was encountered elsewhere.

  If she proves to be just this game, you can try to erase game data, in the settings/apps section. If this happens in all games, you can try a full stop holding the Start button / for 8 + seconds. • Replacement stylus under warranty?

  I recently bought a HP Slate 7 extreme and noticed that after a few weeks, of the pen tip is worn, and the piece of rubber is torn and falling almost extinct.

  My warranty for the tablet itself is until the end of February 2016, so I was wondering if the guarantee also covers stlus replacements.

  I find it unacceptable for a stylus to enter a few weeks only very light use.

  And find a stlylus replacement costs 20USD alone which is quite high for a stick of plastic and rubber.

  I was able to get in touch with someone online and they will ship a new pen for me.

  I guess they don't make the stylus tips because it would have been much cheaper for them to replace the stylus itself.

• Atrix HD does not connect to LTE

  Hey everybody!

  I've recently upgraded to HD Atrix Saturday night and I love this phone! However, there is a minor problem, I noticed. I came from the Atrix 2 before this phone, so they had to issue a micro SIM (since I regularly used SIM card). I'm getting a signal strong and get the '4G' data (like HSPA +). However, I checked the AT & T coverage map and I'm square in the middle of a 4 G LTE coverage area. The problem is that the phone will apparently not be connect to the 4 G LTE network. Is there something that I need to change in the settings or I have to go see AT & T about it? I already checked my APN settings and they all seem to be default.

  The phone connects automatically when, in an LTE service area. I'll make sure that you have a data plan LTE and LTE-advanced base, and if you do, I would ask for a new SIM card.

  Those are the two main issues. There is no way to turn on or off the LTE on the Atrix HD radio.

  Set up my email account, login to my mail for a long time server slate 7 Extreme by default port POP3 995 for incoming mail.  My outgoing default port 465 SMTP mail.  I can't change the port incoming SMTP 993, mail or the port out to the recommended 587.

  I want to create a complete SMTP account.  How can I accomplish this?

  I deleted the email account Android and added the app K-9.  I've set up an IMAP SMTP account.  Now, I'm able to look at the server and all the subfolders in my Inbox.

• so I have a magnetic charger!

  Mainly to save wear on the flap of the usb. But also because the micro usb is extremely difficult to remove without feeling your about to tear off the port. I opted for just a USB rather than on a dock. In any case, I must say that it is the most difficult thing to line up in the world. In the dark? Forget about it! I guess that it works very well on a dock. But the terminals are so small, trying to align them all in the magnet tries to pull it down. I'm doing something wrong? Im just that it is very difficault.
