Issue of recovery event

I noticed that the health of sensor on IPS showing 'critical '.

And I clicked for details, he showed that the recovery of the event is not recovered and critical now. I don't know what that means.

Can someone tell me what are the causes that information, and how to fix it?

Hello

In this case, the recovery of this event can be ignored as mentioned in the last answer. You need IME to pull events.  It isn't causing any trouble.

As we know IDM cannot pull events from the IPS/AIP directly and we will need IME for that, so if the events were not polled for an amount of time (default of 300 for yellow status) and (default of 600 sec for RED), the event status will change colors. So it's either Event Retrieval is enabled and the IME is not installed, hence no events are being polled, then this error can be ignored and the event polling can be disabled safely (un-check the Event Retrieval checkbox), OR the IME is not operating as it should and there might be communication issue between the device and the IME.

Please let me know if you have additional questions on this. If this answers your query, I'll ask select answer as the solution for this thread.

Kind regards.

My partner has a Satellite L310D, which recently is victim to the virus of windows security.
We initially tried to restore to a previous restore point but he resurfaced after a few days.

We then reinstalled windows from the recovery partition of the HARD disk which seems at first sight have been around but after opening explorere and surfing the net, it keeps us bombing with a windows error.

Also, when you are in the google search, then clicking on a link, it will open additional search pages and refuses to open the link.

Finally, he did not finish we updated windows and lifted up a windows error which we can not get rid of despite their support pages.
I learn the virus can have dug in the registry but I thought the restoration of HARD drive would address this issue.

If he touched the entire hard drive and how do I sort?
We do not have an available recovery disk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated that we cannot use it as it is. Apart from this, the machine was great for our needs.

    > If it has affected the entire hard drive and how do I sort?
Well, a virus could affect the functionality of the system.
Usually the antivirus software should be able to remove this but some viruses are really good and new OS install might be a better solution.

If you don t have recovery disks (generally you must create it in the first day of the purchase of the laptop), then you could order it here:

  • 3 surface Pro stuck trying to start issuing bitlocker recovery key

My Surface Pro 3 took ages to restart (circle of points spinning for centuries). So I went in safe mode (see photo). He recommended I go to windows.microsoft.com/recoverykeyfaq and I enter the key ID.

My machine is joined to a domain, but I'm not on the network, because I can't start and even if I was, I'm at me so impossible to get the field

Bitlocker options give me anywhere to enter the id of the key. I do not have a backup of the recovery key (it was not given to me), and even if I try to reset my pc option it asks installation or Windows recovery support. Which I did not.

I would have hoped that recovery of bitlocker on the URL above would have given me a way to capture the key Id to unlock bitlocker!

  • Issues of recovery site: domain/Vcenter controller

    Guys,

I'm new to SRM.  I have a few questions about the installation of the infrastructure of the Dr site.

    1. my vcenter protected site is broken out in distinct roles, VC/SQL.  On the site of recovery for the sake of simplicity, that I would just have a single VC with SQL Server express.  Guys do you see any issues with that?

    2. what should always live on the site of recovery from the point of view of the infrastructure?  Do I need a domain controller or can I just add my server to vcenter Site Recovery at existing on the protected site domain controller?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ian

    Hello

You should have AD / DNS server to the recovery of the site as well. If your vCenter / SRM are joined to the domain, it will be difficult for them to communicate / authenticate.

I upgraded my Windows 10 laptop and have done since a recovery using the Recovery Media Creator Toshiba USB drive; My question is it will take up to 10 Windows or the original Windows 8.1?

Are also all the drivers and the software recovered?

Thanks for your patience - I am fairly new to this!

Did you create a recovery key USB flash memory before upgrading Windows 10?

Usually, the Toshiba recovery media set the laptop back to factory... to the very system that was preinstalled at the beginning.

  • Issue of recovery on Satellite C855

I've had two of them for repair now. It seems '0' for recovery doesn t work, or he finds a picture of the system for the recovery. One of them refused to do the recovery disc and the other sees readers but they said r empty? But the made recovery discs.

This seems to be a hardware problem
    Has anyone else had this?

It seems '0' for the recovery doesn't work,

You want to recover the laptop using HARD drive recovery?
HARD drive recovery is ONLY possible if the HARD disk and partition has not previously touched!
In case you have changed something on the HARD drive, HARD drive recovery would no more work.

"windows cannot complete the installation. to install windows on this computer restart installation. »

You said you use the SSD drive.
I guess it could be the reason why the recovery is not working properly.

Formats and create new partitions on the HDD/SSD drive recovery.
Sometimes, it would be possible that partitions can not be created properly because of different HDD / sizes SSD.

It would be interesting to know if you can complete the installation by using the old HDD.

I use Toshiba laptops for a long time now started with old Satellite 1800 with Windows XP Home edition.
In my opinion the installation procedure is based on the same principle. Install recovery disc is bootable media and installation of recovery is very simply.

This product key cannot be used to activate Windows if you use a different Windows installation disc so in general, you don't need at all.

  • Satellite L670D - issue of recovery on the new HARD drive

    Hi all.

I actually sent this support Toshiba has a few days ago, but still have received no response and thought I would try this forum.

That's the problem; the hard drive of my laptop is a failure, I had warnings to create a backup and replace the drive hard as soon as possible. I have done this and have mounted with success the computer with a new brand Hitachi 500 GB hard drive, with no problems.

Then, I entered the program installation and makes the dvd the first boot drive. The first disc of recovery in the drive and it starts perfectly and started the process. I then went through the recovery procedure with the DVD 3 x on my computer, it seemed to work flawlessly, and after inserting all 3 disks in the order as requested, I was instructed to remove the final support.

I have reset the boot hard drive and windows started normally until I got to this point. "the installation program starts services. Then comes a pop-up window saying; "windows could not complete the installation, to install windows on installation, this restart of the computer.

Of course I tried to start in a few other ways to the f8 advanced boot options, but he always does this same thing.

I can't imagine what the problem is that everything seems to go well until this?

Hope you can help me solve this problem.
    Thank you

  • Tecra S3: issues of recovery dvd

    Salvation;

I have a Tecra S3 120 model and its drive hard sata 80 GB has been partitioned to install debian and other BONE and have a backup only fat32 partition.

Tecra have a manual and a single DVD, the recovery DVDs. A long time, I decided to have a quick glance; I started, and oh surprise, tool recovery begins to format drive without my intervention.
    Quickly I turned off.

I am fortunate because only first 20 GB seems to be lost, so I only lost partition winXP and no backups, and linux (knoppix and testdisk help me to redo the partition table and the man gpart show how to do a mbr backup me and restore).

Unfortunately, a second attempt gave me the same behavior of "recovery."
Now I reinstall Windows XP, and a look at DVD show me that, like other Toshiba (Quosmio F-20), this DVD has an 'expert' mode (I see the bitmat with the screen, in a folder).

I consider that the behavior by default as a danger bug, but:

    1. How can I access the so-called "expert mode" before formatting?
2 and, very important, what is the image of ghost I have to choose for my 20 GB partition?
Perhaps these images are volumes of the same image? :

    Hello

I m very surprised of your suggestion.
To my knowledge the recovery procedure doesn't start automatically.
You must choose between 2 modes, the standard mode and expert mode, until the procedure will begin.
It is very amazing that it is not possible to choose it between these modes.

But you can order a new partner of Toshiba Recovery CD.
Perhaps only your CD is damaged.

In any case, I don't think you will be able to restore your 20 GB on the HARD disk. My view, to start the process of full recovery to reinstall the Windows operating system

    Good luck

  • Issue of recovery with Satellite A85-S1072

I'm trying to recover my A85-S1072. I put the disk in it and it started working and reaches about 30 percent on the toshiba restore tool 7.5.1 and then he says:

Output A:\GHOST. ERR (giving the option Yes or no)
By clicking on any send to a black screen with a blinking "_" and clicking Yes brings up a screen cannot open 'GHOST. ERR - insert disk '.

is there a reason its not open this file correctly? I tried to clean the disc and there no scratches or marks. I also opened reinstall drive on my other computer and it looked however I was unable to understand all that I could do that would not occur to ruining me the recovery disc.
    Any suggestions?

    Hello!
You have probably used a before Norton Ghost utility in this laptop, and now things don't get any better between your operating system and the setings of Ghost in this laptop.
If this is true, you must use the ghost disk that will allow you to run again so that you can cancel or reset the settings it is.
    Hope this will help

    It would make

If its cheep enough I wanted to by a disc of recovery for this model A210

If an agency can help I would be very grateful
    Many thanks andy

In General, recovery image is always created for some portable model and you cannot use the recovery of another model of laptop but disk if the material is the same, you can try to install it and I hope that everything will be OK.

To the new recovery disk, you must visit https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

Last option is the installation of the clean version. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba download page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

This old model is known to me and I can tell you that Win7 32 bit works perfectly on this machine so if you can do this installation Win7. It works better than older Vista.

  • Qosmio F15 - issue of recovery PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

    Hi all:

This laptop has been infected with tons of spyware and a nasty virus disabled things like the ability to view the elements of the workstation in addition to shared folders. He changed the time and instead put the infection by the Virus or something to that effect.

He had pop ups and was not easy to manage, so I used the Toshiba Recovery and Applications format of the HD DVD, then reinstall it by default. Complete installation with no error message. Then when it restarts, it goes to the start Qosmio screen and then flashes (very quickly) and a blue screen then travels to the menu of the advanced options (where you can choose Safe mode).

Regardless of the mode that I choose, it will always be the same thing-show the Qosmio screen, a quick blue screen, then return to the menu advanced options.

XP Media 2005 Edition came with the computer, but as the CD of the plant was not working, I decided to try to install XP Pro. Shortly after that it starts to install the Setup files, I get a blue screen with the following text:

    ************************************************** ************************
A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is installed correctly. If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the Windows updates, you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

    Technical information:

    STOP: 0X0000006B (0X0000003A, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

I hope someone has some good advice because I am pulling my hair out. I don't think it could be a HD crashed because he was working fine-i mean of the system has been infected, but the HD worked very well. Someone please help =)

    > I'm completely at a loss...

Might be time for professional help. What do you think?

  • Issue of recovery workstation XW4400

Hi all and thanks in advance

I got a workstation HP XW4400 years and I recently updated with a few more memory, a new graphics etc.

I also upgraded from WinXP to Win7(ultimate/64).

I used win7 I used to have a Recovery Manager ("HP Backup and Recovery Manager" or something) that I used to go back to factory settings, but after I installed windows 7 Recovery Manager has disappeared. I am moving back to Xp because it was much more stable and for some reason that I used to get a lot better framerates off games. The recovery partition is still there that I can't start it.

(ive google the problem and tried all combos keys f1 - f12 via ctrl + f1-ctrl + f12 at startup)

    Hello:

Just get a set of recovery disc for your machine. I guess it came with XP, it's the OS that you will receive.

    Here's how to order:

    1. Enter the part number and the serial number on the top of the computer on the Silver label. The model # is a Compaq HP xw4400, but the part number is on this tag silver under the serial No.

    2. call HP at 1-800-952-7689, option 1 (ranking in the list in the option made restore disks).

    3. provide the information asked by the representative who answers the phone. Some simply ask for the serial No., some want at the same time, or they'll want just the serial number and the type of computer (xw4400).

    4. do you have a Master Card or Visa ready for purchase. They do not take discover.  You will be charged $10.00.

You will receive the discs by first class mail, or you can pay an additional $10.00 for shipping FedEx.
