Issue of signature PB SDK 2.0

In previous versions of the SDK software PB file bbwp/bin/bbwp.properties used to have commented on the line

[code] < !="" -="" -=""> company name -> [/ code]

We need to remove the comment and add the company name, sign the apps.

Now in the SDK 2.0, file bbwp/bin/bbwp.properties doesn't have this line more while I can still see the instructions in the development Guide.

I am able to sign the apps using my key WITHOUT adding this line in SDK 2.0

Is this still necessary line in 2.0? Or the docs are not updated for 2.0?

Yesterday, I saw the same thing

We are informed in a thread yesterday that CN is now taken your developer certificate and thus bbwp.properties entry is no longer (it is still used in the MANIFEST. MF although if it is present)

My only real complaint with the tools that we have now, is that I wish they would give us an easy way to turn off the mode of development - I need to change the unsigned MANIFESTO bar. MF just so he can sign for the moment

    IV. restart the computer to make the changes happen

    Uninstall and reinstall the card program and features. Steps to follow

    i. Click Start and select Control Panel

    II. in the Control Panel double-click the "Programs and features" icon

    III. here you can find all the programs and items that are installed in Windows 7.

    IV. to remove the adapter click once on the program and then click Uninstall/change, and follow the prompts.

    v. install the last driver on the manufacturer's Web site. Download the Windows 7 compatible display driver.

  • WOOF Application Framework install issue - for Oracle Utilities SDK 4.0

    Hello

    I hope someone can help me, I'm really confused.

    I have a working of MDM 2.1 installation and everything works.
    Now I need to install the SDK WOOF to start coding in JAVA, but since I got a new mstill to this I don't really understand where is the application server. I though that I have that installed already. But it is not found in C:\ouaf\demo.

    I have the framework installed, I do not understand why the SDK says bad file.
    Oracle Utilities Application Framework V4.1.0 multiplatform is the one that I installed it.

    Here is the doc to install:
    http://www.box.NET/shared/k86v1a4gtc793ho1zc20

    Here is the part of the doc to install:
    • Application ARF development (exploded) and 32 - bit server form. The installation will prompt you for the name of the folder where it is installed. Note the first 2 digits of the two SDK versions (for example "4.0") and application server must match.

    I found the number of patch for the SDK here: (but where can I find WOOF app server?)
    http://blogs.Oracle.com/theshortenspot/entry/new_releases_of_oracle_utiliti
    10043375 - oracle Utilities SDK 4.0.0.4 (for ARF V4.0.2 products) based.

    Published by: LodestarGuy on July 3, 2011 11:57

    Go to support.oracle.com and search article 1210804.1 knowledge base. It has links with the SDK, you must work with WOOF v4.1.

  • Installation of the SDK however Webworks fails on Windows 8

    I don't know why I tried this, but here's the screenshots of the error messages that I get during installation.

    I don't know if it is a Java issue or something with SDK Webworks or is it even supported on Windows 8?

    You can get this to install but it is not supported I think.

    Make a right click on the installer - under compatibility change Windows 7 compatibility version.

    Run the Setup program again and it will install successfully. The Toolbox itself seems to work under Windows 8, I think it is just a configuration problem.

  • I need to buy a signature key?

    Hello

    I am a new beginner in BB app development, I have some questions on the key issues of signature. Grateful if you could help me.

    1. When should I buy a signature key?

    2. If I want to deploy my application on a BB device to test, do I need to sign the app?

    3. the signature key have expiration date?

    Thank you

    1. When should I buy a signature key?

    Whenever you use a RIM API, which requires a signature key. I guess you can write a MIDP application that did not use the API of the RIM.

    2. If I want to deploy my application on a BB device to test, do I need to sign the app?

    If you use a RIM API, which requires a signature key, Yes. But you don't need to sign the app if you test using the Simulator.

    3. the signature key have expiration date?

    He can do it, but I doubt you would need to worry about expiring.

    To really harness the power of the device, you will need to use RIM API so might as well invest in the keys.

    What local are you using on your computer?  It seems that you are experiencing this issue:

    Signature or by creating a debugging token silently fails

    You can try the workaround suggested to 10.2, or upgrade to 10.3, which has this fix.

    Hi jambros,

    · You have several security software installed on your computer?

    A digital signature is an electronic security mark that can be added to the files. It allows you to verify the Publisher of a file and helps verify that the file has not changed since it has been digitally signed.

    If the file does not have a valid digital signature, has no way for you make sure that the file is actually from the source, of what he wants, or that he didn't has not been tampered with (possibly by a virus) since its publication.

    I see many users who ran the scan on their computers using the software AVG anti-virus is facing error messages similar.

    Return return to previous versions of AVG has solved it concern. You can see an example of the same thing:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xphardware/thread/8445d911-ebb0-4292-96ba-749de4fcb672

    If you have more security software is installed on the computer, I suggest you to uninstall the security software.

  • 2.2 SDK install with the existing signature tool

    Hi all

    I just installed the SDK software WebWorks 2.2 on my machine that had already been recorded for signature tool.  When I run the 2.2 bbwp process and add the key to existing signature tool, is not through the package manager process.

    [ERROR]                 Cannot sign the application - could not find signature keys

    Anyone know what I should do in this case?

    Is there a way I can use existing signature files or what I have to redo the entire signature process?

    Any help is very appreciated!

  • Previously used signature keys in Webworks 2.3.1.5 SDK installation

    I just got new key signature and registered using them with my WebWorks 10 1.0.2.9 SDK

    I'm trying now to copy the sigtool.db and the sigtool.csk in my WebWorks 2.3.1.5 SDK

    I tried several guides, but everytime I try to sign my app signer tool rises following and I get the following error for each .cod which must be signed.

    Contact the signer and register with signing authority.
    Path: C:\Users\**\AppData\Local\Temp\widgetGen.###.tmp\xxxBlackBerry.cod

    Above, you are referring to the COD, for BlackBerry OS 7.x files and lower.  The .csk and sigtool.db files are only used to sign applications for this platform.

    BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry 10 uses a different type of key.  If you have not requested an installed them (they come in the form of files .csj instead of .csi) you will need to order a new series using the code signing key order form.

  • BB10 SDK 3 qnx.fuse.ui.text.Label issues

           textFormat.size = 22; //Added this in to change font size

            var lblText1:Label = new Label();
            lblText1.text = "Click \n on board to resume game";
    //      lblText1.wordWrap=true;
    //      lblText1.autoSize= TextFieldAutoSize.LEFT;

    Hello

    It's probably a noob question but... I made a PlayBook app a bit back and I try to update to use the latest version of the SDK so I can submit for BB10. I think putting the scale and working apart from the text.

    I went to import 'qnx.ui.text.Label' to 'qnx.fuse.ui.text.Label' and 'flash.text.TextFormat' "qnx.fuse.ui.text.TextFormat".

    After that, I could no longer use 'Label.wordWrap' and 'Label.autoSize. I also can't seem to get newline to work... the '\n' does not appear on the screen, but it does not put a new line. I also tried to use Label.htmlText to use
    instead of \n but it had the same problem.

    At this time the texts are of the correct font size (I went and added that in for everything), but I couldn't find a way to set wordWrap. Could someone please help me with wordWrap and as to why the line break does not work?

    Thank you

    -Muskilh

    You must add:

    lblText1.maxLines = 0;

  • Guy Android coming to BB. Installation with VMWare player/Simulator/SDK issues

    I installed it,

    C/C++ QNX Momentics IDE...installer-bbndk-BB10_0_04-win32-186-201204250810-201204251322.exe
    BlackBerry10Simulator... BlackBerry10Simulator-Installer-BB10_0_04-195-Win-201204262359.exe
    VMWare... VMware-player-version 4.0.3 - 703057.exe

    I go to the early stages of QNX Momentics IDE and try opening an example (SDK)
    I get the Setup Deployment Wizard. I go to Device Setup and choose Simulator.
    What should I do now? The last step click the HELP (?) says he launched the Simulator, but I get a page with the title "Blackberry Simulator is not found and it's looking for a file VNX. I checked and tripled check the previous steps on the help icon.

    The Simulator is deadlocked C:\Documents and Settings\User1\My Documents\Virtual Machines\BlackBerry10Simulator-BB10_0_04. And I clearly see a BlackBerry10Simulator.vmx file in there
    but the SDK app doesn't see a single VMX file. The folder 'controllers' and other records.

    I tried the VMWare Player. It works very well.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Hey be based,

    The initial installation of the IDE and Simulator can be sometimes a bit daunting. Some of these steps you've done but im going anyway to list them:

    1. raise some Code by signing keys: keys

    2. download and install Momentics IDE and install

    3. download and install Blackberry Simulator

    4 download and install VMWare

    5 disable all firewall programs including windows firewall

    6. open VMWare-> choose open a Virtual Machine-> access your VNX file and open it

    7 if it opens really slow try changing options in VMWare 2 CPU and see if you can activate the "Virtualization technology" or "AMD Virtualization" in the BIOS

    8 the address of development of the Simulator (click the icon of the person with the toothed wheel on the menu bar of your alpha dev Simulator

    9. open the IDE, click window > Preferences on Windows and select BlackBerry and click BlackBerry Setup Wizard Deployment.

    10. follow the onscreen instructions to set up your target (Simulator or device) and add your chips of the device debugging.

    11 A this point your simulator could not auto discover so add your IP address you found earlier and if you haven't added a password in your simulator then let empty password.

    12. the rest of the wizard of BlackBerry deployment configuration should work just fine.

    13 open a sample application

    14. click on the file of the bar - descriptor.xml in the Project Explorer view, and then select "Set of symbolic debugging.

    15. right click on the project file, and then select Configurations to Build > Set Active > 4 Simulator-Debug

    16. right click on the project file, and then select generate the project.

    17. then right click on the project again and select run as > BlackBerry Application C/C++

    18. If all goes well, everything should work from there.

    Remember you need to do 14-17 for each project you want to run through the Simulator. And always turn on the virtual machine before you start the IDE I found that things always work better that way.

    I hope this helps!
