Photosmart C310A stuck on 'initializing '.

Printer actually implemented and installed very well first time around, and printed a test photo. Subsequently is entering the period of expiration or sleep, no way out initialization mode... Tried the suggestions of cord, power supply and update software and drivers reinstall etc... on PC is a HP also. Nothing works... Any help out there? About to go through another brand - do not have time to waste with this... Thank you!

In this case there is only one thing you can really try, and it's a hard reset. If a hard reset will not erase what's causing the firmware hang as if it was, the only option is to replace the printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

To do a hard reset:
1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
4. wait for 30 seconds.
5. plug in the printer and turn it on.

    Our Color Laserjet Pro M176n MFP is stuck at initializing, since the last time that the yellow toner cartridge has been replaced. After the replacement of the cartridge, the toner carousel turned, started making rattling noises and then stopped. She does after every start. It seems that there is something blocking the movement of the carousel, since I can't move it even manually as described in of many other forum posts on similar problems. Is there a way to access the back of the carousel to see if there is something blocking it from moving?

  • MFP M225dw: Printer stuck on 'initializing '.

    I bought the printer in February 2015 (less than 6 months ago) and on my network without wire (connected via surge protector which was brand new).  Everything was excellent until a week ago.  Aware of the printer went away, and when he came, he remained on the screen during initialization.  I let go 48 hours without change.  I have unplugged for an hour and replugged it in, no change.  I unplugged for 3 days and tried again, no luck.

    I came on the forums and tried the steps recommended in another post:

    Tried a hard reset (disconnect while remaining on and wait 60 seconds, reconnect to a wall outlet)-nope

    Tempted to drain power (unplug everything in now the power button / Stop button for 30 seconds)-nope

    Tried to update the software from HP Support Assistant on my computer, all updates current and no change

    I even went as far as uninstalling the printer and the software from my computer and attempt to connect via a USB connection - the solution was problematic, because the printer never have to ready mode to install the software.

    Attempted to intall for wireless network, but I get to the menu on the printer because of its being stuck on initializing wireless.

    Need help please, I'm more frustrated by the day and can't go much longer without the printer.  I invested more money to ensure that I had a reliable quality printer.  Cheaper printers does not fizz out on me this quickly!

    «Hi there, then put in place the printer by the book / manual.» I am able to scan documents using the HP software, but I can't print anything. The touchscreen is stcuk to "initialize". The M177fw and the laptop are connected in WiFi.

    When I click on the 'status' button of supplies, the text on the touch screen becomes to XYZ color, but this task is never ending. Any number of reboots always shows "initializing". Please let me how can know I do this printer print documents.

    I noticed your post on how your HP Laserjet M177fw printer is stuck on initializing. And I'm happy to help you!

    Please first try a hard reset by following the steps in this post, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector.

    If the hard reset does not solve the problem, I also have you sent for a factory reset instructions in a private message. If you are unfamiliar with the operation of the function of private messages of the Forum, this post has instructions.

    HP Photosmart C310a and HP Solution PS_A10_07_C310_FSW - installed Full_Win_WW_140_408 Center. Print from Internet Explorer 10 preferences pages rise in Japanese or Chinese.  Works fine in Word.

    Windows 8 running on Ultra Intel Core i7 laptop.

    Not a printing problem, but a problem becomes the prefrences page if we can settle Dulpex or 'print page 1-2' can't read pages.

    Actually have two Ultras (wife and I), and both do exactly the same thing.

    How can I solve it please?

    If you have this problem with the browser Internet Explorer 10 and not with any other application, then it would be some setting in the browser IE 10. Try printing from another browser (firefox or Chrome) and let me know if you have the same problem?

    I am trying to install a HP Photosmart c310a on Windows 8.1with drivers downloaded on the internet.

    I constantly get a message that a file is not found.  The software is looking in the same temporary file that he had placed in the driver files.  I can't work exactly which file is missing, because it does not fit in the dialog box.   IYT appears only as hpzshl...

    I noticed your messages on the error message that you are experiencing when you try to install your printer on Windows 8.1. I'm going to share with you a few suggestions.

    1 make sure that the Internet Explorer pop-up blockers are turned off before downloading the installer

    2. If you are using McAfee secure Live or any other firewall, please temporarily disable the "real-time scanning".

    If the unit is locked during initialization, then it might be something in the firmware of the printer.  Before you perform a reset, make sure that all the troubleshooting steps are completed.  I'll link the document to troubleshoot a non-responsive printer below.

    The printer will not turn on or respond

    Please press the home button on the keyboard when you see the screen "initializing".

    If it does not, please press the SHIFT key and then launch Photoshop, to ignore the third party Plugin.

    I have not used After Effects in some time, and after starting it recently that I quickly stuck on "initializing MediaCore.

    I tried:

    Then "After effects WARNING: unknown Exception.

    Then "after effects error: cannot unlock an unlocked list.» (4: 27)

    Then "after effects error: current Crash.". Last logged message was: 7116 > < GPUManager > < 2 > Sniffer result Code: 3

    This error is sometimes different

    And finally the last one said after "than the effects could not sue sorry... »

    On top of what he says in the link if you manually remove that you might also need to remove services, a single method, is to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services regedit and remove the Hyperion of related services, restart the machine.

  • All-in-one Photosmart C3150: stuck SD card

    I have the above printer.  When you try to load images to Picassa seems to have blocked the SD card too far into the printer.  It didn't load the photos and the SD card will not come out of the printer.  Please tell us how to get at least the card back because I need photos.  Thank you.

    I see you have a SD card stuck in the all-in-one HP Photosmart C3150 printer. To be honest, there is no support measures to help with the removal of this card. I would say that if it is large enough to hold the tongs into the slot, you can power off the printer and use tweezers to guide the card out of the printer. If it doesn't, the only other thing I can think of is to disassemble the printer. Because it is a consumer quality printer, there are no instructions that I can offer to remove the device to access the SD card.

    I would recommend that you give our queue of Technical Support service by phone call. The Technical Support queue can be reached at 1800-474-6836. Normally, when you contact our Technical Support queue, you will be directed to fill out a form to Contact support on the HP website. After that, a phone number and folder number will fill for you. However, due to the age of your printer your product displays as obsolete and not entitled to phone support. Please dial the number manually. When you hear the automated voice and invites you to revisit the site of HP to fill the Contact form, please ignore this. After 5-10 minutes your call will be routed to a technician. Please explain the issue to the technician to see what can be done to address this problem.

    I have a new HP Photosmart Premium c310a printer. Every day I get a message saying «failed to printhead...» The print head seems to be missing or damaged. Printing cannot happen without the print head or the installed cartridge. "I even ran the printer via the print head cleaning and I always get the notice.

    The printer works and large prints, but I keep getting the message box. Can I do to stop the notice? I'm under the it on Mac OS X.
