Issue of Smartphone Wifi blackBerry

Ive just bought the torch and set up my wifi and everything and have 750 MB of mobile net monthly

I was just wondering, if I have connected wifi and my connected the carrier signal, it does by default uses wifi as a priority and not my 750 Mo? Obviously, I need to know this, so I do not exceed my limit.

When it is connected to two networks, that the camera automatically chooses to use the wifi network.

hope that helps

  • Application for Smartphones Wifi blackBerry using BB 9000

I guess the BB uses the dns servers of Rim or a proxy server to route requests to the www through when using WAP and data plans.
This is the case when you use the wifi carriers charges would not apply and neither would release of the data carriers.

The reason I ask is that when you use wifi with our router, all applications for MTS via port 80 get routed through a dns/proxy filter that restrics some sites.
These sites are always available and accessible.

This, I guess that two www requests are made for a rim proxy server NOT on port 80 and/or dns are requested through the rim when the wifi and there is no need of.

Anyone has any ideas or can shed light on this. ??

Heard, so it seems that you use BIS which does not explain why the HTTP request comes from a different server. BIS has a public browser MDS (the Web browser) that optimizes traffic for BlackBerry when traffic happens on the network of the carrier and if you are connected to WiFi it does not matter the traffic via an Internet browser / BIS goes out through public servers.

If you want to force someone to be able to use the browser WiFi using your network connection and router and respect your filters, you can remove with IPPP for BIBS service in her book. This is only temporary and will come when a BB re-entered on the network.

As an alternative to the use of BIS if you want to force traffic to go, well, your own internal network, you can watch the offer BlackBerry unit. The only downfall is that unit requires a computer connected to the net to make it work. Apart from that, it is a BES mini that will ensure traffic flows on through your home network first and not by the BIS browsing public that you cannot filter.

  • Smartphone WIFI blackBerry 8900 curve

You can use the Wi - Fi system if you do not have the data plan? I have the curve 8900 for AT & T. I'm new to the Blackberry.

You are welcome. are ask you if you have disabled your mobile network and you connect to the wifi but the wifi service is unavailable, you will always be able to browser? don't I have that right?

If that is what you ask, the answer is no. If your disconnected from your operator, but you are connected to your wifi, but wifi is not internet service, then basically you are always disconnected to the internet.

  • Problems Smartphones Wifi blackBerry with browser and set email account in place

    Hello

I'm not a person very tech-savy, but now,.

I recently got my blackberry 9780 and I'm currently NOT on a data plan. I tried using wifi on the phone, but I always get the message "Cannot connect to the server" when I open the browser or when I try to configure my email account. I disabled Moblie Network Data Services so that I don't use any data by accident.

I use a Mac Airport Extreme Base Station 802.11n.

    * do not know if this help *.

When I look under "service status" next to BlackBerry Internet Service: not connected & even with BlackBery Enterprise Server.

    * When I turned on the mobile, browser data works also very well... but account e-mail implemented yet "impossible to connect to the server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

The BB logo would indicate that your BB is connected to BlackBerry (BIS) Internet Service. But, since you don't have a data plan, you get not BIS. In addition, the native browser can never work without a data plan. I suggest that you refer to this FAQ:

  • Registration of Smartphone WiFi blackBerry

    Hello world

I use my BB9930 connected to my WiFi router at home and it works fine. I am pleased that my long WPA code is stored in my camera. I don't have to re-register whenever I'm back home. Ok.

My query is: is there a limit to the number of such a code, we can store in a BB9930?

I would like to than my BB to work the same way with other WiFi areas without losing my home recording.

    Thank you, goodbye,

    Bernard

There are apps that will be put on you're your Wi - Fi whenever you are in range of predetermined Wi - Fi hotspots.  These applications allow generally allows you to store up to 100 connections hotspot, the number is a minimum of 100.  There may be more, but it is no less.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Smartphone WiFi blackBerry problem

    Hello

I've seen a few similar problems but still can't seem to get my "BOLD" to use the WiFi on my home network. It shows as connected but by default, the 3G connection for navigation. WiFi set up with WEP security, other PC seems fine. The "BOLD" was going to a friends house so maybe something in the router is set up. It is a DLink DIR655.

    Thank you.

I went to the host routing table and then WiFi (60) has been highlighted I clicked on the menu and register, it's what I did. Not sure why he did it, but it works now.

  • Symbol of Smartphone Wifi blackBerry on the notification with wifi bar disabled

    Hello

Since a few days, I have a wifi symbol on my notification with 1 (number) bar on the left of the symbol.

I have the wifi turned off, but the symbol does not disappear.

Select the notification bar, I have only the calendar entries, appears nothing else that might be related to wifi.

Any suggestion on what to check?

    Thanks in advance

    Ciao

    Sorry,

I should have read first entry in the forum :-(

  • Forgotten issue of Smartphones, password and security blackBerry

    Hello

I have a real dilemma. Not only I seem to enter a wrong password, but I forgot as truly the question of safety.

I wanted to subscribe to BlackBerry messenger (not necessary not previously) and also got stuck trying to use my BlackBerry Playbook.

Is there a solution when I seem to have incorrect information for both?

    Helen

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are several different security credentials in the world of the BB... but what you have said, I guess you're saying your BlackBerry ID. Therefore, start first with these please:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question
    • KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." occurs when you attempt to reset a BlackBerry ID password
    • KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address
    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with

If you have forgotten your ID BB credentials AND access non - BB (for example, Outlook, webmail, etc.) for the e-mail account which is currently configured on your account ID from BB, then these instructions should allow you to recover access to your account ID from BB.

However, if you do not have access to this e-mail account, then your challenge is much larger, and you have a choice to make depending on your situation:

    1. If you have no AppWorld records you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

      • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
    2. But, if you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your prior AppWorld purchase records.

    Good luck!

What strategies companies follow when choosing a Smartphone in BlackBerry JDE?

I guess, since you are in a Java forum, that you plan to Java development.  There are a number of other options.  But looking at Java:

You are concenred about what level of JDE?  Look here:

    http://com-BlackBerry-us-5p.WWWA.com/developers/choosingtargetos.jsp

Or choice JDE or Eclipse?  If so choose Eclipse.

If I have not answered your question, can you be more specific?

  • Smartphones BBid blackBerry problem

My 9320 does not recognize my BBID. I tried the password reset, what does not work. I'm now up to 9 attempts, and the next attempt will lock me up. Any ideas what I can do. I can't seem to find what to do on the blackberry site, all the tips keep telling me to change my password working isn' there. I get the error message "enter the username associated with this smart phone. How can I find out what my correct username with my phone?

    cmarks96 wrote:

It may be that when it was entered, there was a spelling error and what we think it should be wrong.

If that's the case, then this account ID to BB is probably lost for good... all activities must have access to the email address and the email address is the same as the user name, if there is a mistake, then there is no way to receive emails of validation required in order to continue to use this BB ID.

    cmarks96 wrote:

Are correct us thinking is we do a security wipe, this will allow us to start over. We realize that we would lose everything on the phone.

Yes... that's indeed what you need TO do in order to change the real ID of BB that is associated with the BB:

My Curve 8310 has asked me and a colegue of work to validate one of our email accounts every day last week. Is this a setting, we can change? It worked fine for the last 4 months. Kind regards. Fishyswoir

    Hello!

Some e-mail providers require validation at intervals... This is something that they ordered. Here is the article from the knowledge base of the public who addresses the issue:

  • Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry to Blackberry App World Server connection

I got a new Storm2 9550 and some of my applications didn't work properly when transferred from my Storm 9530. Among them Blackberry App world gives me the error:

BlackBerry App World is having problems connecting to the Blackberry App World Server. Check your network connections, and then try again.

I downloaded and reinstalled app world several times that I can count to no effect. I rebooted my phone, returned my service books and re-entered my THS several times, and it's not helping.

Help, please. I need to reinstall some of the apps I got go to app world and I can't do it until the app world features.

In fact, I understood the question myself. Apparently when it is attached to the WIFI, Blackberry App World does not want to connect. When WIFI is off (or out of range) and I use Verizon EVDO network, App World works fine. The RIM should be looking at why App World will not work on a WIFI connection.
