  I have icons, which have white features, mask the other lines to create my icons. Instead of me will expanding the traits and then using pathfinder to create transparent traces to finally create a fill black "single", is it possible to simply export and ignore white?   Ignore the white on the smallest sprocket, but white on the cotyledon is necessary for the icon. To make this work, I would usually expand all items and use pathfinder to create my forms. It is a bit tedious doing lots of icons. I would like to know if there is an easier way to do it.

  Make sure that 'White' is in the Swatch Panel, then choose white as "Transparent" and "8-bit" PNG in the color table.

  Or you can rework your works of art to be truly transparent.

  Or fix the PNG in Photoshop.

  In general, I would recommend sRGB, if images must be consulted on the screens of TV or PC monitors. sRGB is usually the universal profile for sharing photos on the web. If you want to share your images on a single disc, most of the people will see their best, without changes in color, with an sRGB profile.

  So it really depends on your goal. You use a player for sharing and viewing on backup and storage devices.

  I worked with Silly-V , which has been extremely useful in creating a script to automate creating files in Illustrator.

  What I need help with now is the ability to add in this script, the ability to remove "x #" character of a filename on export. This would be ideal, as it will completely automate what I did by hand for months.

  The current script, that we have put in place takes generally, which would take me about 1 minute per file and it has reduced to 10 seconds. Translate this in the whole of the need to treat roughly 800-1 000 files, and you can see where the time invested is decreased significantly.

  The last piece of the puzzle is the removal of characters from ONE of the two files that are created through this script.

  First of all, this is the current script. It seems to work perfectly for what I ask it to do.

  I found the program Name Mangler done an exceptional job of the completion of the task of renaming. Here's a screenshot of what I'm asking for looks like with this program.

  

  My ultimate goal is to be able to integrate this unique Name Mangler feature the existing script I posted above. Now, the problem is that I need ONLY to assign the file created by the section of the lines 66-71. As you can see, I need to remove the file name starting at the index of 14 characters.

  Is it possible and something that anyone can help with?

• Why my drawings are saved as PNG files and not as the vector files?

  Hi all

  I had Illustrator draw installed on my iPhone 6 for well over a month now and no can't operate the way it is supposed to work. According to Adobe, the designs, we create on Illustrator draw are supposed to convert into vectors on their own a time saved, or when you press "send to Illustrator. Once I have create a drawing with Illustrator draw and press 'Send to Illustrator' I will only wait a few moments for this Illustrator program opens on its own on my computer. Unfortunately, the drawing will not be opened because it is not compatible with Illustrator. Drawing is transported to Illustrator as a PNG file that is not supported. An error box will appear telling me this, and then efforts just stop there. It's really frustrating. It is not possible to change all the settings associated with this problem on the iPhone or on the desktop. At least not my investigation. Also, I can not find the folder libraries showing in one of their video tutorials Adobe Illustrator. I see a few different types of folders in the library, but none for the selection of the designs I've done on Illustrator to draw.

  I do not understand how, according to this video: working with Adobe form & Adobe Illustrator draw - YouTube , it works perfectly with the iPad. Is - it really exclusively for the iPad? Maybe there is some software/programming issues by making a version for the iPhone? I do not know.. All I know is that it doesn't work and it's frustrating.

  I would really appreciate it if the Adobe team or someone forums could help solve this problem. There really isn't any point to have this Adobe application if it can't do what it's supposed to do.

  I was in a similar position when I tried to download from sketches and line, but the draw must send to the paths immediately.

  (Sketches and line illustrations require a step further, the conversion button, but draw just open immediately)

  Check the version of your Adobe application draw? or Illustrator CC? (I use 2014.1.1 and it seems to work very well on my iPhone 6)

• Overview of the issues when exporting pdf from InDesign

  I'm working on PC, Windows 7, InDesign of CS5. I had several problems with executives of color filled not appearing is not in the preview of an exported pdf file, different file, same problem. The files 'prints' very well. For example, I have a page that contains a logo, two lines of text in the Arial font, two photo .jpg (CMYK) and a background color solid process. When I export to PDF (I tried all the options available to me) the colorful background does not appear in the preview. I can send this file to the printer and it prints exactly as set upward in InDesign. I also systematically deleted each item separately and re-exported the same results each time. I even deleted everything on the page with just the colorful box. Same result. I did drag the elements on a page in a new document. Same result.

  Thoughts? Does anyone else know this? I looked for further discussions on this topic, but couldn't find one just like her.

• CC Moving Photoshop layers when exporting PNG with transparent background

  Hey, if someone could help that would be great.

  I make videos and use photoshop to create subtitles/text using the type tool, transparent background and then superimpose the image file into iMovie.

  However, sometimes photoshop decides to move the text, even if I do not have when exporting, only seems to happen if the background is transparent.

  For example. These two images and if you switch between them quickly enough to create a moving image.

  

  I think you'll find that the border of the images are not the same, because of the background is transparent. You can check by looking at the dimensions in pixels for both images. They should be the same.

  I'm trying to figure out how to set the level of permissions for my files and folders. But I also understand exceptions to the permissions of level 1 and level 2. If anyone else can have total control over my files and folders at school or work, which keeps an unknown person to access my files and folders on my computer a home. What I mean is this: if I change the permissions to allow someone else to read and write in my files and folders, which prevents an unauthorized person by performing the same steps to access my files and folders?
