I'm not able to use the camera on my R400 within Windows. The same device works great with google talk and other messengers.

  • Remove/hide list "Scanners and cameras" in the "My computer" window

I tried to stop the "My computer" window registration "Scanner and camera" icons It seems that some make a strange link with HP scanners strives which slows down to the top of the window opening. Originally a freeze for 5 to 10 minutes of my entire office. Currently through TweakUI I can hide icons "Control Panel" and "files stored on this computer". But I have not discovered a way to do it for 'scanners and cameras '.

I didn't know that I get a lot of responses to this question, given THAT XP is basically a dead horse. But I tried when even because I'm trying to help a friend who refuses to go there "change." I discovered a work-around if this isn't really what I think, it is a perfect solution. I disabled the devices scan HP from the Device Manager. Now, when you open "My computer", is there no time lag or delay to all the records and player items display in the window.

  • Trying to download my pictures from an iPhone 3G, the link to user advanced in XP Windows Wizard scanner and camera does not work. Is there a solution?

There are about 1500 photos in the film and about 1000 other photos.  It worked when the film was smaller.

I'm not sure if you are saying that the wizard will not start
or the wizard launches, but will not download pictures.

Might be worth trying to manually launch the Scanner and
    Camera Assistant:

The executable for the scanner and Camera Wizard is:
    wiaacmgr.exe

If you connect your camera via USB, turn it on and and
Reach... Start / run... type the following and press on... Come in...
    To start the wizard:

    C:\Windows\System32\wiaacmgr.exe

Also... with the camera connected and turned on... If you
Reach... Start / my computer... is the recognized camera
with the letter t? If_Yes_you can copy and paste photos
from there to a folder on your hard drive.

  • How can I remove the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and scanners and cameras my desktop icons?

Recently, I installed a trial version of Tune Up Utilities 2009. During one of the scans/tune-ups, he gave me the option to display the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and Scanners & cameras icons on my desktop. I checked ok, however, now, I think it's too crowded in my office and you want to remove them... right on the desktop, not everywhere else they are located. I tried everything I know to remove them without success. Anyone knows where is the menu option to display on the desktop so I can uncheck or choose Delete? I don't want to have to change all the .ini files or .bat to because I'm afraid I don't do it correctly and create other problems.

    Hello tellis1230

I don't know what you have tried, but have a look here

    Right-click Desktop-desktop/properties/Office/Customization

    Uncheck what you don't want

  • Assistant scanner and camera for Windows 7

    Separated from this thread.

You did answer the question.  The question is: where in windows7 can we find the friendly and useful feature that was available in the "Microsoft of Wizard scanners and cameras" program of Windows XP?  This Windows XP program is a user-friendly program to selectively import groups of photos and scans.  Instead of answering the question, we refer you to a device driver installation wizard, and this response is irrelevant, incompetent, hostile and evil!

    Hello

As you have seen that it works differently in Windows 7. You must configure it by using the component of AutoPlay .

    1. Open Control Panel. In the Search box, type AutoPlay. In the results click on Autorun.

    2. in AutoPlay, in the photos section, click the drop-down menu and select import pictures and videos using Windows. Click the Save button.

The next time that you connect and turn on the camera, you will see a pop-up dialog box. Follow the instructions in this dialog box.

If you have installed Windows Photo Gallery, you will also see an option to use this program to import and edit photos.

You can download/install the Gallery of photos for free at the following link. It belongs to the Windows Essentials range.

  • the scanner and Camera Wizard box is empty

The wizard opens when I put my SD card reader into the USB slot, but there is no choice in the selection of the action box. How can I fix it?

    Hello oldmellow,

    1. are you referring to the AutoPlay dialog box that appears when you plug in the USB key?

    2. have you checked if the card reader is detected in Windows Explorer?

3 was this work very well at all times before?

If the SD card is not detected automatically, you should check if it appears in Windows Explorer.

Open my computer and check if the scanner and camera appears here.

    a. to open the scanners and cameras, click Start, click Control Panel, click Printers and other devices and then click Scanners and cameras.

If your camera or scanner is not listed in the scanner and Camera Installation Wizard, try to install it using Device Manager. Check if the device is detected in Device Manager. You can see the bottom of the article for more information on this:

Looks like you need to adjust your AutoPlay settings.

    Something to try...

    Reach... My computer...

Right-click the icon for the drive in
    issue. For example... a card
    drive may appear as:
    Removable (e :)) drive
(if you have a multicard reader
You can have multiple... E, F, G, etc.)

    Choose... Properties / AutoPlay tab.

Open the drop of Content Type
    and choose the photos.

Tick... Select an action to perform...

Left click on the button "Restore default settings" / apply / OK.

  • Launch Windows scanner and Camera Wizard

How can I manually start the scanner and Camera Wizard?  It runs automatically when I plug in my camera, but if I want to copy photos in different directories, I must perform these tasks as a group.  As soon as I made a group, the wizard stops and the only way I know to restart is to unplug, then reconnect the device.  Someone knows a way to start the Wizard manually?

  • Scanner and Camera Wizard does not

I placed my Kodak digital camera memory card into the slot on my computer, and the only answer is that it runs on my printer scanner.  How can I transfer my photos from my camera to my computer?

    ================================================
Perhaps, you can manually start the scanner and Camera Wizard:

With your camera or scanner connected and open
on... try to go on... Start / run... and type or copy / paste
    What follows:

    wiaacmgr.exe

Now press on... Come in. This should launch the Scanner
    and the camera Assistant.

The following Wizard can also be worth a try:

    Microsoft AutoPlay Repair Wizard

Also, you could manually download photos:

    Something to try...

Connect the device to your PC via a USB cable and turn
on the camera... If open windows... Close them.

According to... to... Start / my computer... the camera can be
    listed as a drive letter...

If_yes_right click on the drive letter and select... Explorer or
Open... This should display the directory of the memory card.
You can copy and paste or drag and drop the files from there to a
    folder on your hard drive.

(The same steps work if you have a media player...
When you go to... Start / desktop media slots...
Drive should be listed under... "Removable disk" with a drive
    letter.)

  • is - it version XP from Microsoft scanner and Camera Wizard work on Win 7?

original title: the version XP from Microsoft scanner and Camera Wizard work on Win 7?  It is much more useful to manage his photos.  The version of Win 7 does not even recognize the camera.

I don't know what else to say.  I have an old XP machine, so I used that.  Child's play for what I wanted to do.

Thank you for volunteering J, for this quick reply.

My question gets pictures from a camera to a PC, my problem is that the XP version is very useful, and the version of Win 7 is not.

Where the question: can I use the XP version on Windows 7?

    Concerning

    John

    =====================================
    You are welcome.

    Sorry for this misunderstanding.

You have said that your camera is not recognized then
I assumed that you were unable to download your photos...

Anyway... as far as I know... the XP Scanner and camera
Wizard cannot be used on Windows 7.

The info can be useful to experiment.

Windows XP scanner and Camera Wizard is:

    wiaacmgr.exe

On a Windows XP system, the path to the file is:

    C:\Windows\System32\wiaacmgr.exe

There is also a copy of the file located in the:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\wiaacmgr.exe

I wonder what would happen (if there is one) if the
wiaacmgr.exe file has been copied from the XP system
and transferred to the Win 7 system?

If you decide to experiment with the wiaacmgr.exe file...

Proceed at your own risk *.

On a XP system if a scanner or camera is connected
and turned on... you can left-click the wiaacmgr.exe
file (even if it is copied on the desktop) and it allows to detect
    the device.

Will it work if copied on the Windows 7 Desktop? I have no idea...
