It can run multiple monitors affect T40 and t42

Hello

I was wondering if running a s-video rca cable using 2 monitors may adversely affect my ThinkPad t40 and t42. Because they both recently broken on me. Movies or television on their part running is all that I really use these computers. Could I have overheated or overclocked video card because they will turn on for a while then we'll fizzle out until his black or blue and the other just black after a few minutes. Could someone answer my question and tell me what I could do to fix?

Thanks, I appreciate your time

Well I did for awhile and it was OK.

Let flow TPFancontrol and check the CPU/GPU temperature.

    I want to buy an additional monitor or two, but I don't know if my computer can handle them. According to the specifications of my computer, it has an AMD radeon hd gpu 8570.  Is there any specific kind of connection vga, hdmi, dual-link dvi to run the installation of the multiple monitor? If yes what kind of adaptors/cables do I need?

    It does not matter at all.  Most video cards have only one of each type of connector.  The key is to use the appropriate adapter if necessary.  Furthermore, carefully follow the instructions in the guide.

    My wife recently started home work to do at home, and she asked me if we could run two monitors.  I thought it was easier to ask first to go buy one and then knowledge I can not. Thank you!

    Here are the specifications of your desktop HP p2-1394. Based on the specifications, it has a VGA output (analog) and DVI - D output (digital only). You should be able to use a digital DVI - D monitor and a VGA analog monitor at the same time.

  • Hello. I run multiple e-mail accounts and that you have checked all the settings, but the default account to send emails 'reply' on herself in the Inbox. Any ideas?

    I have run several accounts based on the same server of my work account by e-mail. They all work very well except that if I received an email on my default account, and then try to send a response, the response is not sent and ends again in my Inbox. All other emails that I send from this account by default even normally go and are copied to my inbox sent according to normal. The problem is just with the emails that I am responding. I rechecked all of the parameters, but you can see nothing unusual. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • multiple monitors using miniDP and HDMI

    I have a small question, I have 3 monitors (Acer and 2 DELL U2415).

    Currently, I want to have a configuration as follows:

    ACER-> MAC Pro via HDMI

    Both my DELL-> Pro MAC with MiniDisplayPort

    The only problem is, HDMI will work with a miniDP and the other monitor is not recognized and if disconnect the miniDP first then the second - the first and the second will work will not. Apparently he doesn't like HDMI 1 and 2 MiniDP.

    Then I took my ACER and used the HDMI / MiniDP and plugged (essentially the 3 monitors are on MiniDP) it works fine.  However, I think that the cable is not terrible because there are static in the image.

    Can you guys please help me on how to set it up so that my acer still uses the HDMI and connects to the Mac Pro and the other 2 Dells use miniDP cables.

    Thank you.

    Make sure that you have all the monitors on the same bus Thunderbolt.

  • 23tm multiple monitors affect opportunities

    Me again!

    After asking on this forum, I bought two monitors 23tm to broaden my Acer laptop, 571 in an almost office environment.

    I use a Startech USB dock for additional video ports (USB3SDOCKHD) which gives me a DVI and HDMI output, allowing so different a signal for each monitor.

    Extend the desktop (s) and hop I have three monitors individual 2xHP 23tm and 1 x laptop screen that I put as my "main screen" i.e. where appear office files.

    As a result, the mouse from one screen to the other and all is well

    except the touch capability...

    gestures on the screens of 23tm is imitated on the "main menu", perhaps I should say pointed to the main screen. I drag a diagonal on the touchscreen and a shaded box appears on the main screen. In fact, nothing happens on the touch screen.

    Question: where can I find the contact in place?

    I think I got this:

    1. Type in "calibrate" the charm of research (Windows 8) to join the installation menu Windows touch screen system
    2. Your primary display must be a touchscreen (I think) things otherwise is confusing, or even NFG

    With the foregoing, two monitors 23tm work outside a 571 Acer works very well.

    As always YMMV

  • I have installed Medal of Honor Airborne which is an older game, but my computer telling me video is not supported? I can run world of warcraft catylism and assassain credo. So why used it let me run an older game?

    Is there a way to pass the video problem, and why it would run newer games better but not older.

    Have run you it in compatibility mode - see here how:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

    Your graphics card is compatible with Windows 7 and if it's that you have installed the latest Windows 7 drivers for it?

    If you post back, include the brand & model of your graphics card.

    Before upgrading your operating system in the future, you should always check first that your hardware & software is supported.

    As for why older games work but more recent ones, it simply technologies change & improve. To activate do this finally older software & hardware becomes obsolete. While I don't agree with everything they do, Microsoft provided Compatibility Mode Windows 7 to help with this problem and the XP Mode in Windows 7 Professional and ultimate versions.

  • How one thread can run multiple runnables?

    Hi What follows is 1.6 api documentation
    Executors.newSingleThreadExecutor()
              Creates an Executor that uses a single worker thread operating off an unbounded queue.
    It should provide the Runnable when the thread is built himself, and once the thread ends the execution of its run the thread method is dead and cannot be started again as a thread.

    But the doc above indicates that a single worker thread is enough to execute Runnables queue. How it possible?

    Nothing prevents you from creating a Thread that has a list of Runnables and call its run() method one after the other.

    new Thread(new Runnable() {
        public void run() {
            for(Runnable r : listOfRunnables)
                r.run();
            }
        }
    }).start();

    Threading tips base.

  • How to lock the desktop icons in a multiple monitor configuration

    Original title: lock the desktop icons - and display

    Working with Windows 7 Home Premium has a problem processing 2 pieces: no matter how many times I said I want the display screen appears on the monitor, the screen of the computer, every day he arbitrarily returns to the computer screen only. That creates the 2nd problem: the desktop icons that I have arranged for the largest monitor rearrange themselves to adapt to the computer screen. Is there a way I can lock the icons in this position that I used to be able to do? Or is it possible that I can keep the display to go back to the computer screen? (I'm careful to apply the instructions to display before the specified seconds elapse).

    Hello

    I suggest you to go through the steps mentioned in the link and the Coachman.

    On a system running Microsoft Windows 7, the desktop icons can be moved to positions at random during another monitor main screen.

  • Cannot run multiple firefox version 4 windows

    The problem after the upgrade to FF4 began to occur. In ver 3 I used the Profile Manager and was able to run 2 windows firefox at the same time without any problems on Windows 7.

    Now when I try to do this with version 4, a firefox window-error "firefox no longer works."

    I thought that this was due to an incompatibility add on or something, so I made a withdrawal of the full program, rebooted, cleaned the registry and deleted all the files that firefox on my system. The problem persists.

    You can run multiple version at the same time if the next version is started with the - no-remote switch added to the command line in the shortcut to the desktop.

    'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox XX\firefox.exe' - no-remote Pei
