multiple monitors using miniDP and HDMI

I have a small question, I have 3 monitors (Acer and 2 DELL U2415).

Currently, I want to have a configuration as follows:

ACER-> MAC Pro via HDMI

Both my DELL-> Pro MAC with MiniDisplayPort

The only problem is, HDMI will work with a miniDP and the other monitor is not recognized and if disconnect the miniDP first then the second - the first and the second will work will not. Apparently he doesn't like HDMI 1 and 2 MiniDP.

Then I took my ACER and used the HDMI / MiniDP and plugged (essentially the 3 monitors are on MiniDP) it works fine.  However, I think that the cable is not terrible because there are static in the image.

Can you guys please help me on how to set it up so that my acer still uses the HDMI and connects to the Mac Pro and the other 2 Dells use miniDP cables.

Thank you.

Make sure that you have all the monitors on the same bus Thunderbolt.

  • It is supported to connect multiple monitors using USB as a video source?

    USB touch screens

It is supported to connect multiple monitors (specifically wireless) using USB as a video source?  If so, a hub would be able to handle this or the USB connection should be made directly to the motherboard or the PCIe interface.  Thank you!!!

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

You can buy a switch HDMI that allows you to connect several devices to sources HD (e.g., monitors, TVs etc.) to your computer, while using only one cable HDMI (VGA or DVI) of your computer to connect to the second monitor. So you can get a HDMI switch on your favorite search engine for compatibility information for the switch with Windows 8.1.

If you want to project, or sharing of the wireless display, you can use the utility Miracast.

  • Multiple monitors use on Tecra M2

I wish I could use 2 additional monitors on my Tecra M2, currently I use a docking station I plug a monitor extended in and that works very well, is it possible to hook up a 3rd monitor in the plug of the monitor on the right rear of the computer laptop itself and using it as a 3rd monitor? If so can you tell me how to operate as I tried this and have not yet had a bit of luck.

    Hello

AFAIK, it is possible to use only one additional monitor.
You can connect it to the RGB port on the right side or you said, you can use the port replicator.
By using the FN + F5 key combination, you can choose between different output modes. I don't see any option that allows 3 monitors together.

  • HP 251-a123w: I have a Setup dual monitor using VGA and DVI - D ports?

I want to connect my HP 22uh monitor to my office using a DVI - D to DVI - D configuration.  Then I would like to complete a Setup dual monitor by connecting an Acer X193w monitor to my office using a VGA VGA configuration.

Is this possible?  Two ports on my desktop computer can be used at the same time to support dual monitor?

I see that the cables double monitor are in the form of Y and I thought that maybe a single port may be used simultaneously.  If someone knew this information then it would save some time & money on experimentation...

Monitor HP 22uh was bundled with my new desktop PC and I cleaned the Acer to my now deceased Vista system.  It is in very good condition, would like to add.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the use of the video taken two DVI and VGA and wanted to help.

According to the technical specifications of HP for your PC, both of these jacks can be used at the same time.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • How to lock the desktop icons in a multiple monitor configuration

Original title: lock the desktop icons - and display

Working with Windows 7 Home Premium has a problem processing 2 pieces: no matter how many times I said I want the display screen appears on the monitor, the screen of the computer, every day he arbitrarily returns to the computer screen only. That creates the 2nd problem: the desktop icons that I have arranged for the largest monitor rearrange themselves to adapt to the computer screen. Is there a way I can lock the icons in this position that I used to be able to do? Or is it possible that I can keep the display to go back to the computer screen? (I'm careful to apply the instructions to display before the specified seconds elapse).

    Hello

I suggest you to go through the steps mentioned in the link and the Coachman.

On a system running Microsoft Windows 7, the desktop icons can be moved to positions at random during another monitor main screen.

  • When you use multiple monitors, my main screen goes to a lower resolution, and I can't change it.

When I use "extend" the screen on my laptop resolution remains: 1920 x 1080, and the external monitor uses resolution of 1280 x 1024.

But if I use "duplicate", the two screens are set to 1280 x 720 (despite being different for each screen ratios) and the resolution box is grayed out.

In addition, for some reason, my laptop screen becomes poster 1 & 2 with the external monitor being 3. There are only 2 screens physically, however.

How can I get the correct behavior for two copies?

I know my monitors are not the same report, but I already used this configuration in Windows 7 on my old laptop with no problems. On Windows 7, the external monitor Gets a black bar at the top and bottom to restrict it to my laptop screen 16:9 ratio.

It's the screen resolution window when I use "duplicate".

    Yes...

'Duplicate' will do it.  It is not "Duplicate" "sorta show the same thing on both screens.  ;-)

Without third-party applications duplicate screens have the same resolution and the maximum resolution is the maximum resolution of the screen that has the smallest maximum resolution.

Now - if you can be able to use the video device software full to make this (nVidia, AMD/ATI, Intel) in their more advanced control panel - that would be your application third-party in this case.  It would be under the ADVANCED above settings * if * you have installed.  I can't say what gave you what video card you have and if you have installed the complete drivers and the software of the manufacturer of the device or not - but I suggest you to do this and see if their advanced settings might help you.

  • Dell XPS 15, using Dell U2711 external monitor using HDMI

    Hi all

Just thought I'd share how I connected my Dell XPS 15 (9550) to my Dell U2711 monitor to help and the HDMI cable

Go to control panel Intel HD graphics
Set a customized for Dell U2711 monitor resolution
2560 x 1440-55 Hz with CVT - rb option for standard synchronization

All update more than 55 Hz, the screen's burst of color. He looked washed out.

You need to go to multiple screens and apply a simple screen and choose Dell U2711 monitor as a single monitor. Then go to General settings and adjust the settings of the monitor display to 2560 x 1440, with a refresh rate of 55p.

Back to multiple monitors, and then click the extended desktop.

Go to General settings and make sure that the resolution of 2560 x 1440 with refresh rate of 55P is selected.

Another possible setting is to click on the desktop and select display, click Advanced display settings and select the resolution of 2560 x 1440 for the Dell u2711 monitor

    Hope this is useful.

    Thanks for posting this fix.

  • The use of multiple monitors

I have a MacBook end 2011 13 "model of Base. I plan to install 8 GB of RAM and use two monitors (one left) and the other on the right side of my MacBook. My question is this... Should what cables and ports I use?

    Thank you

For 2 screens you need this.

    (1) for the main screen, you need a Display port to HDMI adapter.

    https://www.Amazon.com/Sabrent-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-adapter-da-MDHA/DP/B017NK IQ8M/ref = sr_1_1? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1467923047 & s...

    (2) for the second screen, you need a USB to HDMI adpater.

    https://www.Amazon.com/cable-matters-adapter-2560x1440-1920x1200/DP/B00BPEV1XK/r ef = sr_1_7? s = electronics & ie = UTF8 & qid = 1467923139 & sr = 1-7 & keywords = usb + to + hdmi

However, the USB adapter is not very sensitive. It is best to stick to 1 external display and the "Display port to HDMI adapter.

  • connection of two monitor using hdmi cables

    hp Hello Forum

I want to connect two monitors using two hdmi cables, hdmi to dvi cable and an external graphics card.  The problem is, I don't know where to start? (what to connect to what?) I can do if I have easy to follow instructions or illustrations would be gr8, thanks in advance :-)

Sorry... I just noticed that we have discussed your configuration before. May I ask if the previously suggested configuration did not work? What prompted the purchase of the USB graphic card?

    Display USB adapters are designed mainly for the non-graphiquement intense... Adding screens for things like spreadsheets, documents word, daytrading, presentations, etc. The display adapter using USB can cause a lower performance than using the native chart AMD Radeon HD 7570 card. I suggest that you avoid using the USB graphic card, if possible. Depending on your selection of available cables, if suggests using one of the following configurations;

    (1) computer > HDMI cable > monitor and the computer > cable DVI > monitor (recommended)

    or

    (2) computer > HDMI cable > monitor and the computer > DVI-HDMI cable > monitor

  • Vista and multiple monitors

I'm using Vista Ultimate 32 bit system. When I created multiple monitors on my laptop my screen saver does not work.  I put it in the slideshow personalized with photos of my images. When the time for the screen saver activate the screen turns black with a procession of white dashes strung on black screen and has a long delay in retune to active screen when embarrassing. I've been to monitor manufacturing webite and I have the latest drivers. They say MS problem with Vista which they have many complaints on this subject.

Try using a simple screensaver as the starfield and see if it works better - maybe it has problems with the customized version.

I hope this helps.  If so or if not post back and we'll see if we can find another solution.

    Good luck!
