It is typical that firefox can use 339 600 K (shown on the Task Manager and seemed to work) to show an image? My entire system freezes when that happens
I was looking at pictures in an e-mail, (PDF), and firefox is running 339 600 K and froze my system. Is this typical? He just kept which passes I waited, however, the screen turned gray (with e-mail showing under) and after about 15 minutes, I decided that was pretty long and updated version of the browser (or the arrow from small circle). Then I could do it again, but it kept happening on every third image.
Thanks in advance for your advice
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the < shift >
(Mac options) key and then from Firefox. Is always the problem?

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.
Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?
A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.
#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:
Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
- (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.
Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
- (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.
Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?
#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:
Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.
Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.
Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.
Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?
Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:
- Right click on a place empty on the tab bar (or the button '+')
- Press the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > view > toolbars
- in customize mode > show/hide toolbars (see: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars)
To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

How can I reinstall the Task Manager and monitor resource for Win 7?
I saw a lot of similar questions to mine and problems are resolved for the most part because the person is running in mode 'tiny' in the Task Manager. And, while the problem of the poster has been resolved, I must still be able to find an answer that actually answered the question: how to reinstall a task manager and resource monitor?
I don't want to seem rude or obnoxious, but that's all I really need to know. Is it possible to reinstall the Task Manager and resource monitor and how - what is done?
For a more easy, please take the following response,
I am running Windows 7
Parts of the the Task Manager and resource monitor will not run correctly (it isn't tiny mode, everything seems as it should be, they are just not all the work)
I did a lot of research and analysis and virus check
I do not have a file to restore good system (whatever the reason)
I decided that I have to reinstall the program
So my question is simple: how to reinstall a task manager and resource monitor? I can't find a download for it on the Microsoft.com site file; Maybe it's there, but I'm not.
Please don't bother spending time trying to figure what's wrong with my system, you will lose your time (this is the part where I'm really NOT trying to be rude, but I tell you the truth). I did the analysis, controls, etc. etc. I just need to reinstall.
So please, could someone just tell me how to reinstall only the Task Manager and resource monitor. I don't want to have to reinstall the whole system. It seems to me that it is not necessary; It's only two programs. It is possible and if so, how?
I thank very you much for any help. I hope that was clear, so no one loses time on it unnecessarily.
You are welcome.
There is no download for them because they are part of the full operating system.
See you soon.

I had some problems with my pc, since then when I close Firefox it would not reopen unless I go to Task Manager and end the process for FF. I uninstalled FF and re-installed and no change.
WaltI have a same problem.
-
usually in the earlier version as 28, so I end the process "firefox.exe" task manager and run back the firefox, it will restore the tabs normally I opened (websites that I had until I stop the firefox.exe)
But now that more recent versions, not give me this feature, restore session screen becomes white and I drop my open sessions.
I have to use the history to restore the sessions that I lost,Please can someone take a look at this problem, it would be an interesting option to stop the firefox.exe in the Manager of tasks and able to restore all the sessions again
I have attached a picture for your information
Thank you
regardingUnfortunately the image have no download, but there are built in the back of the inverter session. If these do not work correctly, we are happy to investigate.
However, there is an addon that helps with backups called session manager Session.

I am running vista sp2 and my task manager has been disabled by the administrator. I checked help and he said that I had to enable it via the registry. When I tried to open the registry editor, he said it has been disabled by the administrator. Well, I am the administrator and I've never disabled anything and I don't know how. Can anyone help.thanks
I also discovered that I can not use the command either line. It is also disabled.Hi Mark,
I know that you said you have linked the virus scanners, but this looks like an attack on your registry... or at least the dll that open your registry database.
Did you go back with the restore points?
Sounds like it might be time for a complete wipe and load (format).

I deleted the program and all the registry entries, reloaded the software several times. If I try to use the button programs the application will not start. If I go in the directory itself and try to run the software from there it does not either. This occurs when the software is installed and the system is restarted. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Gary Malicote. As this question ask specific, I suggest you to post your query in the Motorola support forums for assistance. -
I had went in the Manager of tasks and accidentally deleted the firefox task it was. When I returned to firefox, my favorites have disappeared. I tried rebooting without a bit of luck. I tried to backup, to find that I had not. Nothing worked for me. Originally thought that I wanted to get google chrome on my computer, only to make it work, so I don't know if that may have messed up or not. Please help me.
Problems with bookmarks and history does not properly can be caused by a corrupted database places.sqlite file.
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

Hi Dena, thank you for the info. I ran the SFC scan as you recommended and the system's back as clear so I contacted "THE TECH GUYS" to curries where I bought my laptop. "They told me than the 69" stopped "I tried to delete items are actually programs etc. which begin only on request and are not automatically lit during normal startup. They also suggested as Vista requires 1 GB of memory that I am cut fine with my 1024Mo and think I would benefit from an upgrade to Windows 7 or a new laptop, the higher rating. I sit down and count the cents to decide on which way to go. I want to thank you once again for your interest and advice and also a quotation in the order of the day for Bodin who responded and I printed - off details/solutions for future reference. How can I enable the Task Manager after recovering from an attack of Win32.GEMA
Hello
I am running Windows XP SP3.
I have recently had an attack of the Win32.GEMA Trojan horse. Details of it are here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Entry.aspx?Name=Trojan%3AWin32%2FRansirac.G
I recovered my system using:
AVG Rescue Disk
Kaspersky Rescue Disk
BitDefender Rescue Disk
Scan of MalwareBytes
McAffee analysis
Hitman Pro Scan
Spybot scan
Eusing Registry Cleaner
CCleaner
Overkill maybe? But it worked... Up to now
Apparently, the Trojan horse disables the Task Manager and that is I'm having bad to restore.
I followed the advice in this article from Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913623/ - but when I followed this part
To set the DisableTaskMgr registry entry to 0 for a specific user, follow these steps:
- Shut down the computer.
- Log the computer by using a user account with administrator permissions.
- Click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- In the left pane, click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
- In the right pane, double-click DisableTaskMgr.
- In the value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
- On the file menu, click exit.
- Restart the computer.
N ° 5 says that disable TaskMgr should appear in the right pane, but there is no entry to disable TaskMgr. All it is an icon of the small 'ab' (the default) beside it, then, REG_SZ.
Then I tried to follow this part of the article from Microsoft
To set the DisableTaskMgr registry entry to 0 for all users, follow these steps:
- Shut down the computer.
- Log the computer by using a user account with administrator permissions.
- Click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- In the left pane, click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem\\\
- In the right pane, double-click DisableTaskMgr.
- In the value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
- On the file menu, click exit.
- Restart the computer.
This time off TaskMgr was in the right pane - this time with a little "ohho? icon followed REG_DWORD
I tried to create a new entry for the current user by copying one for all users, but not joy.
Any suggestions?
CTRL + Alt + Del does not receive any reaction whatsoever, no Ctrl + Shift + Esc or click with the right button on the barv task and selecting the Task Manager
Thank you in anticipation
These KB articles are for a different problem when you receive these messages when you run the Task Manager...
Some malicious software is aware of the methods you're most likely to use to find and remove it (Task Manager, System Restore, command prompt, Internet, Google, etc.)
The malware does not allows you to use things like the Task Manager to find and remove, so it prevents them from becoming a process running on the system and the process will not start or the process will be completed as soon as it is launched.
The malware is happier when he let you think you need to use system restore, a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch to fix your system when none of this is necessary.
You can fool the malware (and then fix it).
Assuming that your Windows is installed on your drive C, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder c:\windows\system32 and locate taskmgr.exe.
Copy the taskmgr.exe file and rename the copy something malicious software will not recognize. I like to call the copy:
c:\windows\system32\jose.exe
Double-click on jose.exe and see if the Windows Task Manager window opens now.
The problem is the malware won't let the taskmgr.exe a running process, but he does not know jose.exe as a running process in order to thwart you all (I have a feeling that he will well a day on jose.exe).
Will not 'fix' your task manager, but at least you will know whether or not the Task Manager mechanism works (taskmgr.exe still not start properly). If you try to remove some malware and the need to use the Task Manager, you can simply launch jose.exe (double-click) instead, but will be still infected your system.
