  • My cat has turned off the touchpad on my laptop. How do I turn it back on?

He jumped on the keyboard and turns off the touchpad.  He has done it before and I was somehow able to put on the.  I forgot how.  I now use mouse and don't like it.

Fantastic!  I finally looked more carefully the signs/pictures on the keys of the laptop, and of course he was there.  I was beginning to think that this kitten was smarter than I am.  (it is probably still) He knew how to turn off twice and I couldn't turn it back this time.  Now I see how easily it turns off when he walks on the keyboard.  Thank you very much.  Maureen

  • I can't turn off my touchpad of Hp, disable it in usual way does not work.

Hi guys, I can't turn off my touchpad of Hp. the normal procedure of closing does not work. I bought 5 days back. It's a button up, once, I continue to pressing power, it displays the function stop, I tried more than 10 times. the stop screen pop-up does not appear.

You can also press the up arrow in the lower right to open the Launcher to do stop (you need before you start a reinstallation). Once it opens, go to the settings tab. Click to open "device Info". At the bottom of the window, click to open 'Reset Options'. 'Close' should be the second choice there. I hope it will work for you.

  • Pavilion G6 2338sl: hardware button to turn off the touchpad does not work on Windows 10

    Hello

I have a Pavilion G6 mobile 2338sl. When I was on Windows 8.1 the touchpad worked a lot, so I've updated for Windows 10. Windows updated my drivrs to last, provided also by Synaptics (19.0.19.1). HP says the moment is upgrade from Windows to provide the driver for this laptop, as you can see on the driver support page. The touchpad works, the parameters can be set (gestures etc.), the touchpad turns off when another mouse is connected (it's ok).

The problem is that if I use the touchpad and I want to turn off the button, it does not work and the computer reacts like a click. So I returned to the old driver and button works. But Windows Update continusly updated the driver (I disabled the option in the advanced settings, but it still update) and I come to every time.

So I tried to reinstall Wndows freshly (not update Windows 8.1) and with the old driver works, but when she updates to 19.0.19.1, the button to turn off the work stoppage.

I looked on the interent and someone tips to set minimum detection of palm. I tried but it still not working.

I hope someone can help me

If you find that the old Synaptics driver works Ok, install it and then use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to automatically update again.

  • Why can't I turn off my touchpad dell? I've tried everything!

It isn't even a touchpad icon in Control Panel to disable this 'thing'!  And in 'mouse', he is not a touchpad to even click on disable.  What can I do?
I was told that I don't have this feature, but I managed to activate the touchpad and turns off when I got to my computer in August.

    Hello

Orders of hardware and software of the TouchPad are dependants ot system OEM manufacturer.
who is also responsible for the proper functioning of Windows.

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably

It is possible that Dell may have changed the functions of control on some models so he better check directly with

  • Satellite Pro S500-139 - FN + F9 key does not have to turn off the touchpad

    Hello

I use a Satellite Pro S500-139 and am having problems with my F9 key. When I tap my palm touches the mouse and send the cursor somewhere else on the page. I reinstalled the ALPS pointing device and now have access to the Advanced setting that I was not able to get.

Although I can set the sensitivity etc. I would really be able to use the shortcut to disable the mouse momentarily while typing. My keyboard shows that, if I press fn and F9 the i should be able to disable the mouse but the function does not work. F9 all other functions seem to work.

Do you know if there is a solution to this?

I am running windows 7 pro 32-bit service pack 1.

What you can try is to reinstall extra package from Toshiba.

  • T5i Autofocus viewfinder seems to be turned off

I recently bought a rebel t5i, and I have a problem with the autofocus of the viewfinder.  This is particularly evident with a fast lens, like the EF 50 mm f/1.4 just to buy for video work.

If I have auto focus in the viewfinder (phase detection) with a half-press of the shutter button, it locks focus quickly, but the resulting picture is very soft and definitely fuzzy when enlarged on the LCD screen.  If I put the camera in mode live view and touch the LCD (contrast) to take the picture, it's boring.

I'm checking the update with a contrasty object, from the AF point selected in the viewfinder (red dot).

I tried a few other lenses (borrowed) and get the same result: EF 70-200 f/2.8 L, EF 100 mm f/2.8 L macro, etc.

It makes no difference if I use the taking in charge or get up to 1/250 shutter speed or more.

Any ideas?  I would return the camera?  Is this something that can be adjusted?

You seems to know how to test the focus of a camera.

Since you have tested with several lenses and in different modes, the possibility of the problem is with the camera and not your 50 1.4. Return it if you can and bought another. If not, send it to Canon for repair under warranty.
