• Major problems with multiple items of page on the web viewer since the last update

  In the last days, we had problems with all our multiple page items that are newly updated or added on the web viewer.

  Scrolling of pages just to repeat content again and again and true articles page see first pages content overlaid on all subsequent pages. It seems that something important broke in the way that the dps push articles to the webviewer, as is happening through fact sheets and articles. This means that we cannot publish anything until it's resolved.

  We have recently added in one of our app a menu navigation that points to a different section of a publication. We have also added the option to revert to the parent with the navto://relative/parent link collection.

  It works very well on tablets and mobile phones, but it doesn't seem to work in the Web Viewer version.

  Here is an example. The navigation menu is in the upper right corner, and the link to exit the publication is called "Quitter" (the last choice in the menu).

  The navto://relative/parent format is not supported in web viewer. A tester told me that there is an additional complexity in the determination of the parent in the viewer web because Viewer users don't always access the app of the top-level collection.

  There is a parameter called differed_segment_creation, who runs the behavior.

  If it is set to TRUE (the default), no segments will be allocated until you fill your table / index.

  Try to insert a row. You will see your table and index in dba_segments.

  You can set a lower limit of Paywall threshold in your account application in respect of the Administration of the accounts. You can increase the Paywall threshold to allow all items not covered in the web viewer.

  Most likely Safari...

  Part of the problem may be due to cookies from Safari.

  The screenshot of the window of your writing indicates that you're writing a message in plain text. There is no Insert command besides the choice of the bar shaped. These two are not used or allowed in plain text. Where did the name.
  The other screenshot is meaningless, because it does not deal with HTML or plain text.

  To switch between HTML and plain text on a time basis, you hold the SHIFT key while clicking on write. It will pass between what you defined in the account settings. If you do it with your existing settings, you should see the missing items.

  To make the change in account settings go to the menu bar and select Tools-account-Composition parameters and addressing
  Check the option use HTML.

  DPS (Digital Publishing Suite) includes a few bug fixes, but no new features at this time.

  An update to 2015 of DPS is scheduled for August 3. This update will include bug fixes and performance improvements. We will provide more information when to free us.

  Known issues with web viewer

  • Some executives scrollables in web viewer is no longer work correctly with the version v29. This is discussed.
  • Social sharing does not work for apps v27 and v28 for folios published after the release of v29.
  • Smooth Scrolling items in web viewer may not display correctly on the last page if the length of the article of smooth scrolling is not an exact multiple of the height of folio. For example, the last page of an article 1024 x 2000 may be cropped, but a 1024 x 1536 (2 times the height) or 1024 x 2304 (3 times the height) should display fine. The question is particularly common in portrait orientation.
  • More than 70 x 70 are to be cropped instead of TOC resized images.
