Iterate CSV in JSF

How can browse a separated by commas in JSF without using controlled beans?

For example, I have an expression:
#{node.value} which will return a string "value1, value2, value3". Is it possible so I can iterate through these values?
I thought that the c:forEach can work with the CSV but apperently that I can't.

I tried
<c:forEach items="#{node.value}" var="val">
   <af:outputText value="#{val}"/>
</c:forEach>
But I get an error "don't know how iterate over 'elements' provided in c:forEach.

I also tried with the af: forEach and it gave me the error message indicating that the elements must point to a list or a table.

Then... Is it possible to achieve what I want?

On a sidenote... I do not control what is in the node so I can't just change the model.
I use this in a template for the presenter content in webcenter. node is indeed the metadata of a document from the University Complutense of MADRID, so I can not change it...

Hi Yannick

Why not solve your expression "#{node.propertyMap ['xMyField'] .value}" in a managed bean method and write the code in order to get back something that you can iterate?

    Thank you

    You can use or in an ADF Faces page to iterate over the items returned by the method getMyList() of the bean:

    If you want to browse the internal lists, then use a nested iterator:

  • Problem importing specific data from .csv file

    Hello!

    I use JDev 11.1.3.0 with JSF ui and I followed the excellent example on the importation of values separated by commas of a file .csv, M. Bors, but I have a specific problem...

    (1) when I try to import a value date (format dd/mm/yyyy) to a date field in my table of the adf, the date will not be accepted and it is not shown (I use Row.setAttribute ('field', text) for this purpose). I guess I have to enter in a specific format, but do not know how!
    (2) the same with double values. I tried showing 1.50 and it's on the table of the adf 0.02. Tried of 1.50 (with a different text separator) and he throws me an error and doesn't show anything on the table (again I use Row.setAttribute ('field', text) for that one too)...

    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thank you

    I don't know, but it the seam that you set the type inappropriate at the table of the adf. I guess you read the CSV as string data. When you use

    row.setAttribute("filed_name", value);

    You must pass an object of the appropriate type of the attribute defined in the table. Therefore, convert the string containing the date to a Date object before asking in the previous row. Even with the double, you must convert the string "1.50' to a dual purpose."

  • CSV file will not work in Excel after update of the Sierra

    Excel is not able to properly open CSV files more. I have two MacMinis to work with the same version of Excel/Office, but one with macOS Sierra displays all the data in the first column.

    Must be a problem that macOS as Sierra mess up to the deliminter. Very annoying.

    Barebones Textwrangler can force CSVs to use a standard delimiter that Office can understand.  Try to open your CSV with that and save it as MS-DOS text file.

  • Export the library of books as a .csv file?

    I'm trying to compare my Calibre library with my library of books in iTunes 11.4. Caliber exports data .csv file, but I don't see how the same (or even a file of Excel data or numbers) to the ca. 950 books in my library of books to iTunes. I managed to 'print' a PDF (28 pages) of it, however.

    Is it possible to get a data file of the compatible spreadsheet of my books on iTunes?

    I never did anything with iBooks, but with iTunes you can actually highlight a series of lines, copy, and paste.

  • Numbers does not correctly Import CSV files

    Using numbers v 3.6.2 under OS X El Capitan v 10.11.6 CSV files are not imported correctly. A file with 8 columns appears in number with the first two columns containing data of 7 columns and the second containing the remaining column data. This does not happen with numbers v 2.1 I have on another Mac OS x 10.6.8

    Well, I know one answer would be to always download on the Mac of the latter, but I'm trying to stop using it, once all the data I need is available on the other, later, Mac.

    If Apple could provide a program that does work properly, why on Earth can't a version later do the same thing, it is a fundamental requirement and I don't want to play anywhere to try to sort out just that it works as it should.

    might be useful to provide an example of the file, or, perhaps to share data... Nobody here can change the numbers, we are all of the users like you.  The only options that we are thus solutions using what is already there, or work around issues by other means.

    You can still provide feedback to post using the menu item "numbers > provide Feedback numbers.

  • version 38 export contacts to CSV

    I am trying to export my contacts from Thunderbird to a csv file.

      I select the address book.
      I select All Address Books.
      I select the tools drop-down menu.
      I select the export option.
      Select the folder where I want to create the csv file.
      I select csv option in the save as type options.
      I enter a file name. I select the save button.
      Thunderbird creates a .csv file in the proper folder.

    When I open the file, I have only 1 line. This line contains the line header for contacts, but there is no other record in the csv file.

    You must select each individual address book (e.g. personal address book, addresses collected) and export them one by one.

    He seems to have been an oversight when the addresses were introduced; It should not allow you to select export addresses is enabled.

    Wile, we do not support the add-on here.
    As a convenience.
    Most of the problems of this nature with the add-on will focus on how the email header is defined in the CSV file. Make sure it is defined as the domain name, you think it is and that it is surrounded by double quotes. Also make sure that none of your "data" contains quotes like send the CSV into a spin, introducing this amount on a Cape randomly in the middle of data.

  • I need to export the address book in unicode csv files. When?

    My address book contains Chinese and Korean names. Their special characters get lost when I export the address book to a CSV files to import them from Open Office.

    It is true that Chinese and Korean characters are not maintained when you use the export into csv format, but I tried an example with the option provided by MoreFunctionsForAddressBook and it seems to work fine.

    Select an address book in the address book, then make a right click, MFFAB/Export/as csv (.csv).

    When you export a book, make sure that you are NOT on 'All address books', but chose a real book to export.
    The "all address books" is a compilation of all entries from all address books. You can print it 'All' but not export.
