This question has been around for three years without any company, address. In a common home theater setup, I have my geforce 650 connected to my TV via HDMI, and my TV is used as a relay to my receiver via an optical connection 5.1.

Now, if I use my Xbox 360 in exactly the same setup, I can simply force the 360 to output 5.1 despite being inherently stereo TV sound. However, Windows (with the geForce card) only detects the audio setup of your TV EDID and allow only native stereo output.

The fix to play media using a third-party player (think VLC) to manually select audio output; However, this does not have any other way to get audio, such as games or internet streaming.

A simple option to choose out of I want advanced would be greatly useful in sound options instead of force to choose only a possibly erroneous detection.

    Thank you.

  • How can I get PremierePro CS6 to speak with Blackmagic card for an HDMI output?

I recently upgraded my CS5 MacPro to CS6.  I mainly work with Premiere Pro, but also with PhotoShop and its stand.  Previously, my HDMI monitor worked with CS5, but CS6 playback settings had Adobe Player by default as an option and it would not show the Blackmagic card optional.  I have improved my Blackmagic Software to the latest version (9.7), but that no longer works.  After the upgrade of the Blackmagic HDMI signal in the version PremierePro CS5 (still installed and running) has stopped working. Subsequently, the MacOS has been also improved 10.7.5 to 10.8.3 but no change in the result.  I checked all the mechanical linkages.

My features of the platform are:

    MacPro (early 2009)

    10.8.3 OS

Processor: 2x2.66 GHz Quad-core Intel Xeon

    Memory: 12 BG, DDR3 1066 MHz

    Dual screen Apple display

Blackmagic (9.7) output settings: all videos, Audio analogue 4 & 2AES/EBU (NTSC)

My question is how do PremierePro to speak with the map Blackmagic?

    Hi Phil,

    Blackmagic what card have you?

There is a known bug with intensity cards and Blackmagic 9.7 driver where it does not export the HD, only SD this should be resolved soon.

In the meantime, if you have a map of intensity you can go back to the desktop version 9.6.8.

    1. after installation of Windows 7, have you installed the latest drivers for your video card?

If not download them from the manufacturers Web site and install them.

2 do you have HDMI (or audio digital) as the device audio (it may appear as an option after installing drivers)?

Click Start, type: sound. Under control panel, and then click sound. Then set the audio device by default.

    3. you can also try the troubleshooter to find connection problems:

    Hello:

Can you go to the "manage audio devices" under the material and audio menu in the control panel and select the integrated sound card?

I'm sure that when you connect an HDMI cable on a device, the sound from the audio chip in the chip audio hdmi, so see if you can change to the edge and then you should have your sound back.

The computer has no idea that the device at the other end of the hdmi cable has no audio capabilities and just assumes he did and think he's doing you a favor by automatically switching the audio chips.

  • Replace the video card and audio lost

    I have a HP m7350n desktop under WinXP SP2

    The plug: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00585745

I replaced the video card (original) with a Gigabyte GT 440

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814125366

The new vid card also demanded a new power supply, so I replaced the original power supply with a Cooler Master GX 450

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817171060

When I restarted the computer, I noticed that I had more sound. Not sure if it was important, but even after that I downloaded the latest drivers for the new video card, there is still no sound.

In the status bar system (or what is called the lower right view), I have more small icons for audio that I used to see.

If I run dxdiag and click on the "Sound" tab, everything is white with the error 'no sound card found.  If one must, you must install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer. »

The audio jacks are NOT part of either the old or new video card, so I think that the new video card should not cause this.

    Hello:

I see an HDMI port on the map output...

Why what happened?  The answer is that your video card has HDMI that requires a separate HDMI audio chip on the video card. So yes, your videocard DID cause it happens because the PC has picked up map video, disabled the car video (if you have an onboard video) and also disabled the audio system integrated, take on it for audio HDMI on the video card.

The solution is simple, but almost no one knows about it, so I wouldn't say it's something stupid...

Go into your BIOS. Looking for an embedded audio setting. It will be either disabled or Auto. Change the setting on " Enabled".  Save the setting here where you made the change, and again when you exit the BIOS.

When the PC restarts your integrated sound card needs to be restored, and you will also have the use of your audio HDMI when you plug an HDMI cable to your TV.

  • No audio HDMI with Windows 7 Ultimate

Since the departure of Vista with Windows 7 Ultimate, I lost audio HDMI.  I can connect video successfully to my Sony KDL46VL150 but will not come out through the home theater system.  It comes via the laptop.  I tried to update the drivers, but clearly, I have not found the right pair.  I tried as well through the website of HP, and Intel.

The audio drivers in the system are now:

Stwrt64.sys IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Version 6.10.6276.0

Intel(r) High Definition Audio HDMI IntcHdmi.sys Version 6.10.0.2056

I suspect that the HDMI driver is not 64-bit.

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the tips.  I downloaded the drivers and the saved on the desktop as you suggested.  However, I could not find the graphics driver as you have described.

I also followed the following suggestion I had to re-boot with the HDMI cable connected to the TV and it worked.  I see now that I have 2 identical drivers (Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family) loaded in graphics cards.

In any case, the problem is resolved.

    Thank you very much.

  • Media Center Audio HDMI works partially

Under Windows 7 Ultimate on a HP laptop. The HDMI port on the laptop is connected to my HDTV 1080 p. The sound works fine through HDMI when I navigate the menus. All sounds click and selection in Media Center out of the TV and they sound wonderful: rich, deep tones. The sound does NOT come through the speakers of the laptop. It clearly comes through the cable HDMI and HDTV.

(Sorry to be so redundant here sounds but I needed to make it clear that HDMI audio through the TV works somehow.)

However, when I play recorded TV or live TV via Media Center, it is without audio at all. When I run the audio Setup Wizard in Media Center, I get the same result. I hear all the button press tones when executing step by step through the wizard, but the actual trial play without audio through the HDTV. I did the audio HDMI by default in Control Panel, but it does not help.

I got exactly the problem you described.  All the sound elements worked perfectly except for the live TV or record tv.  I tried all combinations of options that I could, I finally found this site with a slightly different question, but the settings got my audio work for the tv.
     http://www.gilsmethod.com/how-to-enable-HDMI-audio-using-your-HP-Pavilion-Media-Center-PC
Goto Control Panel / hardware and sound / manage audio devices
Make sure Realtek Digital Output Audio is the only one his device enabled
Update highlight digital audio output, and select Properties
    Then select Supported Formats tab
Deselect formats all encoded; so no encoded formats should be checked in this section (Note: If you do not select a format and then hit test you won't notice any noise is heard during the test)
Make sure that only 48.0 khz is selected in the section of sampling rate
    Apply the settings
Return to the Media center and sound should work for live TV

  • AVI opens in CS4 but only Audio in CS5

I've been around several files in CS4 and exported as 720 x 480 files open in CS4, but once I drag the files to the timeline in CS5, I get only audio goes to audio editing.

Here are the 8 GB of files.

No problems with flv files or other AVI files.

    Suggestions please

The culprit is the Cinepak, a dinosaur in numerical terms of video codec. Given that first Pro CS5 is a 64-bit application, it takes the 64-bit codecs and Cinepak being dead for a long time and not available in a 64-bit version, these files do not play as long as - is in CS5.

You have a few choices, yet they will need any transcoding repacking at least the files. You can open it in CS4 (first or SOUL) and transcode them to something else (DV AVI, for example), or you could try QuickTime as your output container format; There's one included with QuickTime Cinepak codec. In theory, you could do a "repackaging" of Cinepak AVI to MOV Cinepak with no recompression; the encoded content is simply copied a file in another, with a different wrapper on this subject. Since QuickTime is 32-bit, and Adobe has written a translator of sorts for QuickTime which allows its use in CS5, you might be able to work with these files again. If SOUL won't give you the option (although I think), you might look Pro of QuickTime or MPEG Streamclip.

    Hello:

Here's what you need to do to get the HDMI audio to work...

Download and save, but are not run this graphics Intel W8.1 driver.

After installing 7 - Zip, right-click on the file of the Intel graphics driver that you downloaded.

Select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

Have 7-zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in the file name (sp63750).

After 7-zip created the driver folder, go to the Device Manager and click on the Audio device high definition with the! Select this option.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the Intel HDMI driver should install.

Then restart the PC, and you should have video and audio plays from the HDMI port output.

Why you don t give us more information about your problem? We don't know what unit you have? Is the original part of card or you have built at least?

At the moment I can just recommend you to reinstall the unit with recovery media. If the problem persists, try to install the card separately with the right driver. Otherwise, you must change the WiFi card or test it with the other.

    Give us more information.
