  Note: Microsoft removed the Windows Installer CleanUp utility its download servers because it sometimes more removed he was supposed to.  It is still available from the majorgeeks link (which is a site safe to use).  If you use the cleanup utility, I suggest make a Restore Point or to make a backup of registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT before running the utility.  An alternative to the Microsoft utility is free Revo Uninstaller, which must clean the useless remains of previous attempts to install iTunes.
