I am running Windows Vista professional. After a (apparently unsuccessful) update with service pack 2, I get a message that my Windows is not genuine!
- When I try to enter my key product per computer > properties etc. I get a message: "the product key you entered will not work with this edition of Windows Vista.» You must run the Windows Vista Setup program or enter a Windows Vista Business product key." But the key that I entered is for Vista Business!
- I also tried to download the service pack and run it again, but it never ends. Same thing happens with another microsoft product making so-called system updates... They both end up never after many hours.
- Do here, unfortunately, none created system restore point so I can't go back...
Other possible solutions? I have a lot of programs installed there and I don't want to reinstall windows from the restore CD. In addition, I do not know if it would work since I have the product key appears to be invalid for any reason any...

The problem seems OK - a corrupt license store.
Please try the steps below to re-create the store with the correct data.(1) open an Internet browser window.

After doing this without error as I get to my office, as it is said in the lower right of windows 7 build 7600 this copy of windows is not genuine it wasn't there until I installed windows 10. I use my computer to MESH with Windows 7 installed for about 5 years now (probably to be closer to 6) but recently, the screen goes black and in the corner right of the screen, it says that this copy of windows is not genuine windows.
I looked online and that you may not know how to solve this problem, apart from a temporary fix on youtube
The computer came not with an instillation disk as has been installed by the manufacturer. The computer has the Windows sticker with the product key I have tried to enter, but continue to get the error messages. I have run the real diagnostic tool (which appears to show the same product than the sticker key)

Hi dude, I'm sorry if there is another thread on this topic. However, I could not find so I hope that's not too much pain. My story starts when I had a virus on my laptop, I have tried everything that you try to restore to an earlier date, f8 and all but did not succeed. Then I went to format my laptop. The place I bought my laptop Burns me a copy of Windows 7 as my laptop did not come with 1. Then I formatted my laptop and typed in my product key found on the back of the laptop. everything was fine until today my phone disabled certain functions and the corner saying im 'build 7600 7 window this window is not genuine' not quite sure what I can do to solve this problem, as the laptop computer was purchased with Windows 7 installed. This copy of windows is not genuine after the replacement hard drive and recovery system
I was running factory installed windows 7 Home premium in my laptop hp pavilion dv6 6119tx. Due to hard drive crash I replaced with new HARD drive. Previously, I did system image backup using easeus todo backup and recovery softeware. After system recovery with the same software, this massage flasehes "this copy of windows is not genuine". I tried to enter the key of product at the back of the laptop but it says invalid.

Windows 7 not genuine after the restoration of backup_activation error 0x80070005
After a virus attack, I reformatted the drive and brought the whole system from a backup external drive (my drive C by BounceBack Ultimate clone).
I started from the external drive, then restored, all on the internal drive.
It was restored, but some programs (Microsoft Office and Photoshop) lost their activation.
Now, I get the message "Windows 7 Build 7601_This a copy of Windows is not genuine".
I tried all the ways to reactivate it, including 'slui.exe; slui 4 ", but still get access denied error code 0x80070005.
I tried many suggestions found on the web. Nothing has worked. I came across the error code 800 a 0046 during an attempt of "slmgr.vbs". Permission denied.
I tried to repair Windows by choosing 'upgrade' with the installation disc. But he won't because my current installation is newer (SP1 added).

Once you have downloaded, you then need to burn the DVD of it - use the Windows disc Image burner, or (even better) your favorite at the slowest possible speed burning application.
Note that you do NOT "drag and drop" the file on the disk, you must use the option "burn image" of your app - or you will end up with a useless coaster :)
Once you have the disc burned, check it to start the (or other) system OK - but do NOT start repair-you must start the repair of in a normal Windows startup.

After the execution of the power of the program the computer off and then turn it back on. Go to the start menu and right click on computer and properties. Windows activation as it did not show a key, he just say unknown. Power the system off and on again back. Look at the properties, and under product key, you must have a number. Windows Update worked.
