iTunes wants to update iPad iOS 9.2.1; iPad already there?

I normally update iOS level of my iPad via iTunes on my MBP (El Capitan 10.11.3); However, I got my iPad to do the update of iOS 9.2 to 9.2.1 via Wi - Fi in settings-> general-> software update.  I have not problems than that, and my iPad shows version 9.2.1 (13D 15) in settings-> general-> about

After that I Sync my iPad in iTunes on my MBP and iTunes now informs me that a later version of the iOS is available and asks me if I want to upgrade to it.  After getting this message repeatedly, I said no not to invite me to this topic more.  iTunes displays the following information for my iPad:

iOS 9.2.1

A newer version of the iPad software is available (version 9.2.1)...

It shows he's in 9.2.1 and at the same time tells me that 9.2.1 is a newer version than 9.2.1.

This could be the cause?

Is there a way to solve it?

Thank you!

I have a similar problem. When I connect my iPhone via USB, iTunes asks if I want to upgrade to 9.2.1 which I already.

    Dear Sirs,

I don't want to update to IOS on my device. But the legacy continue to send me notifications 2 times a day. How to turn the notifications?

    Thank you.

Short answer, you can't. Your iPad will automatically download iOS updated when he is in charge, connected to WiFi, and there is enough free space. You can remove the package entirely downloaded iOS (parameter - storage... If I remember correctly), but it will re - download and start the nagging lets you install when the download is complete.

    Try to update via iTunes.

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

The iPad does not have a SIM card. Most are wifi only.  The USB jack on the side of a machine very likely does not provide enough current to recharge an iPad. Use the power supply provided 2.1 watts (if you have one - if it isn't get a).

  • iTunes wants to update my iPhone already up-to-date

(What I... MacBook 2015, OSX 10.11.3 with all latest updates. iPhone 6s more w/iOS 9.2.1)

I updated my iPhone to 9.2.1 shortly after she was released.

Last Sunday, I connected my iPhone to my MacBook and iTunes told me iOS 9.2.1 is available and asks me if I want to download/install.

I connected with my iPhone to my MacBook for several times after that I upgraded and it's not happened so far.

Has anyone seen this; have a cure; or an idea how to solve this problem?

    TIA!

    B

There was an update to iOS 9.2.1 (mid-February) for devices with Touch ID to deal with error 53 (If you see error 53 and your iPhone or iPad is stuck on the screen 'Connect to iTunes' - Apple Support) – Apple made the new version as 9.2.1 but they gave him a new build number (the number that shows up after the version number in settings > general > topic > Version on) the phone).

Update (after a backup and copy purchases through your Mac iTunes library) to the new version via iTunes on your computer will get your phone up to date (as far as I know will not show the new version in settings > general > software update, you can't update directly on the phone).

  • Still having problems with Itunes after music updated to iOS 9.3.2

How can I solve the problems created by the software update Apple iOS 9.3.2 lost all my music will not restore using itunes etc

What questions are you talking? Music of Apple, it's where you posted what you use? What music has been lost? It's all in your Apple's music. The rest should be in your iTunes library on your computer. I have almost 2K songs in my iTunes library and they have all been there since the very beginning, across all iOS and iTunes updates.

What happens when you try to restore your phone to iTunes? What it the music has to do with whatever settings you have for music and once again, depends on your participation with music Apple or any other service.

Try it please take a moment to build a question, describing what occurred, what device you use, what computer OS you use, and what troubleshooting steps you tried to correct. In addition, you use the services of Apple, and have you backed up your phone and your computer.

  • iTunes error (-1) update to iOs 9.3.2 whe

Thank you my Lords, best software programmers in the world. You are worth less than apple from my garden! I tried to update iOS 9.3.2 with ITunes in my iPad 3 3 Retina. Unfortunately, I've lost everything because of the error (- 1). No one knows the meaning of this error. You are developers really great! You are paid too much. Oh you get paid a lot because this error is made by you with strong premeditation. You want users to buy new devices every 6 months - that's why they pay you so much money. IPad 3 was my first and last i-device.

    1. It is a user support forum. You do not discuss Apple. Nobody here really cares if you buy another Apple product or not.
    2. As noted here, this is probably a hardware or compatibility problem (so NO software).
    3. If you have 'everything' as you have lost State, this means that you have neglected to make a return to the top. That on YOU, not Apple.

  • Several updates to iOS 9.2.1

Upon publication, I have installed iOS 9.2.1 on our iPhones and iPads.  However, a few days ago, I noticed by plugging in my iPhone on my iMac, iTunes do not have the option to back up or synchronize the phone.  It was the same for our iPads and then, today, iTunes asked me to DL and install the "new iOS - 9.2.1.  Any OSX software was up to date.  I installed it on my phone and the problem has been corrected; iTunes then asked to install 'the new iOS' to all the other devices when they were then connected to my iMac.  The issue seems to be fixed, but someone has an idea what was going?

  • started to update to iOS 9.2.1

Hi, im using iPhone 4 s. I wanted to update to iOS iOS 9.2.1 9.2. Suggest me if I should update or not. Thank you

    Hello, RezaMY.

Looks like you're wanting to know if for update your iOS. It is always good to keep your device up-to-date so you don't miss the latest features. The following Knowledge Base article offers until the update:

Update the software on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch iOS

    Before you start

Make a backup of your device using iCloud or iTunes.

    Update your wireless device

If a message indicates that an update is available, press install now. You can also follow these steps:

    1. Connect your device to the power and connect to Internet with Wi-Fi connection.
    2. Tap Settings > general > software update.
    3. Click Download and install. If a message asks you to temporarily remove the apps because iOS requires more space for the update, click on continue or cancel. Later, iOS reinstall apps that he deleted. If you press Cancel, learn what to do next.
    4. To upgrade now, tap on install. Or you can type later and choose install tonight or remind Me later. If you type install tonight, just plug your device iOS to power before going to sleep. From one day to the next, your device will update automatically.
    5. If requested, enter your access code.

If you need more space to update wireless

If you need more space for an update wireless, you can update via iTunes or manually delete the contents of your device. If you use iTunes or update wireless, you will have the same amount of free space on your device to update.

Some iOS software updates are not available wireless. The proxy or VPN connections can prevent your device to communicate with the servers to update to iOS.

If you are unable to update wireless, you can update with iTunes. If your computer uses the personal Hotspot on the iOS device you put up-to-date, connect your computer to a different network.

    1. Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
    2. Connect your device to your computer.
    3. Open iTunes, Select your device.
    4. Click summary, and then click Find updates.
    5. Click on download and update.

Thank you for reaching out to the communities of Apple Support.

    See you soon.

  • Mr President, for my iPad 2, that I am currently on version 5.1. I want to update manually in order for ios ios 6 then 7; Please help on how todo it

Dear Sir, I am currently on version 5.1 and want to update to the current version of iOS in the sequence. I need to update to iOS 6 then to iOS 7 followed by upgrading to the current version. I tried to do the upgrade manually, but I don't see anyway to do it manually using iTunes. Could you detail the steps for manual update process. There are several sites where there are older versions, but how to address those who use iTunes. Help, please.

You can not. An iPad 2 can only be updated directly to 9.2.1 or the beta version of iOS 9.3; If an intermediate version of iOS is somehow installed force on this issue, it will not be activated.

  • iPad does not not with 11.4 itunes and itunes 12.2.2 since update to ios 10.0.2

Since the update to ios 9.3.5 on my mini ipad 2, I was not able to access my v.1, 1 mini mac running os 10.6.8 with itunes v.11.4, but was able to turn on my v.1 1 start of air macbook OS os10.7.5. NOW!, since the last update to ios 10.0.2, it does not work on one of my units. Is there something that I am missing that a new computer to run the ipad?

This is because a device with iOS 10.x requires iTunes 12.5.1, which requires Windows 7 or higher, or OS X 12.9.5 or superior. Your OS X should be updated if possible. If not, then you can use the new devices and iOS with this Mac.
