  Go to start > computer (right click) > properties it will have a section with the name of the computer and domain.  Basically, if this PC was in a corporate environment this is probably on a domain.

  Create a new admin user account, and then try to run the program.  Also to boot your pc and see if that helps.

  Ok! What you need to do, it's MSAoE.exe right click and select Properties. Then, go to compatibility and then run the program with windows 95. Go down to settings and run in 256 colors. Then select run as an adiministrator. Click on apply, and then run the trial version download. Please note: this can temporarily ruin the color scheme on your PC.
