  • Language bar missing from the taskbar

    My tongue is MIA. I have at least 5 languages installed and I followed all the directions and I checked the forums, but it is still missing! I find it very frustrating because I want to type in Japanese, and Farsi, and I need the toolbar to do this.

    This is the standard procedure:

    If the language bar is not listed in the menu toolbars, you do not have many input languages installed on your computer. You must add other languages using region and language in Control Panel.

    Follow the steps mentioned below to add an input language:

    1. open region and language by clicking on the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking clock, language, and region, click the region and language.
    2. click on the keyboards and languages tab and then click on change keyboards.

  • My language bar does not appear

    original title: my language bar would not be what it takes to appear? I tried using the taskbar to add using the toolbars, but it does not show here

    As I said, my language bar would not be what it takes to appear?

    I tried using the to-do bar to add using the toolbars, but it would not show here.
    Also, I went into the Control Panel and changed language bar settings... I have almost everything...
    Recently, I found a way to start whenever I run the windows... so at every Startup I must go to run > ctfmon.exe then it would start again...
    but it wouldn't stay there... the problem is that this is a temporary solution and if I did drag the language bar by mistake he doesn't appear unless I restart the computer, and run ctfmon.exe again

    What should I do?

  • Language bar does not work

    I tried to type in Japanese today on my Windows Vista computer on a laptop that has worked before.  All of a sudden when I type na N would become: instead of the usual lettering hirgana.  I then added updates just came out and now the bar of Japanese language is in Japanese and won't let me change that no matter what arrangement on this subject so that never.  I can't click on hiragana, change it to English.  It's just broken all together.  That's happened?

    Hi-

    Browsing the forum here it looks like there are a few options, you can try:

    If the language bar is not listed in the menu toolbars, you do not have many input languages installed on your computer. You must add other languages using region and language in Control Panel. For more information, see Add or change an input language

    This is an additional option of "Old GrayGary" with the link here:

    http://www.techsupportforum.com/members/113412.html

    Quick-Fix #1:

    Do you have a language icon in your system tray? (If you switch between two choices of language installed / entry screen, the current selection must display in the system tray: for example IN English, JP for Japanese, etc.). Make sure that you have not chosen to "Hide inactive icons" in your bar spots Vista 'Properties' - or the icon can not be displayed. If you see such an icon, you should be able to right click on this icon and choose 'Restore the language bar' in the option dialog box.

    Quick-Fix #2:

    Since the language bar is a system setting, and the problem is recent, you might be able to recover your old settings using the Vista system restore utility - using a restore point out just before the language bar disappeared. You would probably go to Windows Update to reinstall all critical patches that have arrived since the time that the restore point was created originally.

    _____________

    Must neither of these approaches works, try to visit the region and Language Options in the Vista Control Panel.

    * Control Panel

    * Clock, language and region

    * Regional and Language Options

    If you use different languages with your input devices, you visit the "Keyboards and languages" tab and select "Change keyboard" - in the "text Services" and input languages window, the middle tab is "Language bar" - I think that the option to show or hide the taskbar is available here. If you use different languages for display only, you can go directly to the option "Change display language" from the regional and Language Options (and try the "Language bar" tab there).

  • Language bar has disappeared in Vista

    I have English and Japanese keyboard (Japanese and Microsoft IME) enabled.  My toolbar language my menu on the toolbar has disappeared and I can't get is to restore.  When I try to make changes to the parameters of language bar (screen text entry and language services) it's also does not.  I was able to access the language bar until about 2 weeks ago, and then he just disappeared.  Any ideas how to restore the language bar?

    The following link has solved my problem with the language bar. Give it a try.

  • Additional language in the language bar

    I have a problem with the language of entry too, a little different: I installed (ENGLISH) and keyboard (french) EN "and setting/keyboard language and regional language", but the language bar automatically displays a third choice: VI (Vietnamese) and I have no way to delete because "Regional and language setting/keyboard and language", there are always two only installed keyboard EN and FR.

    Someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you very much

    Prusten,

    Hello Prusten,

    You can go into the registry and remove the language as well.

    -Click Start > type regedit in the start press menu search box on enter

    -In the left pane of the registry editor, navigate to the following:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER > software > Microsoft > CTF > SortOrder > language

    According to your description, you should see the following in the right pane:

    3 buttons with the tracking data

    (1) 00000409 (represent in English)

    (2) 0000040 c (is in French)

    (3) 0000042a (is Vietnamese)

    To remove Vietnamese of your language bar, select the name of the key that

    match these data for the Vietnamese and the clear key.

    NOTE: Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.
