Jar file corrupted in C: how fix this? __Can Windows 7 safely install on Vista Home Premium?

You want to download Firefox. Jar file error appeared.

Hi Rene Englehart,

Ensure that you have downloaded the correct and complete package for your computer

A file JAR (or Java ARchives) brings together several files into one.

Step 1: Try to install the program as administrator - right click on the Firefox installation files (configuration files) and select run as administrator , click continue if you are prompted to confirm.

You can post your query on the Firefox forum

Regarding the installation of Windows 7

There are two options to choose during the installation process of Windows 7:

Update: this option replaces your current version of Windows with Windows 7 and keep your files, settings and programs on your computer.

Custom: this option replaces your current version of Windows with Windows 7, but does not keep your files, settings and programs. It is sometimes referred to as a new installation for this reason.

Note: It is recommended for the data backup before performing any installation.

I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something. I know that the problem is not with my printers or drivers, because everyone on my home network can print on all of my printers. None of the people I know are on Vista 32 bit. They are all running System 7 or XP. I have XP, except that a few years ago I suffered from the "Syndrome of Pepsi" on my laptop and when I bought a new HP, it came with Vista.

  • Windows 7 on Vista Home premium! How to re install Vista on HP Pavilion

A technician (technician at the shop) during writing a test version of windows 7 on my genuine Vista Home premium that come with the laptop HP Pavilion Dv6000.

He did to recover my laptop a virus attached and there after I can't able to re instal Vista now on my laptop. What should do?

I tried several versions and spend hundreds of Dollars may with these technicians.

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact HP and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/84488-activate-Vista-phone.html

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

You no longer have a Partiiton of recovery to reinstall Vista from which you installed Windows 7 above.

    Read this Information from HP:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c00809678&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=18703

Solve a common problem of recovery.
If the original operating system is changed to a non - Vista OS, the Recovery Manager cannot be launched either office or by pressing f11 at startup. You can use the recovery disk to restore the computer to the original state of Vista. If you are using a non - Vista OS, you can use a third-party partition management program to recover hard disk space.

    See you soon.

I highly recommend that you do * not * try disabling all processes.  Although there may be some that you don't need, you'll save time very little by doing this, and you are much more likely to create a serious problem that in order to solve one.

Also, turning off * everything * automatic start of programs in MSCONFIG is not a good idea. Here is my standard message on the subject:

First of all, note that you should be in * all * the programs that start automatically, not only with those who are in the system tray. Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its Options to see if she has the choice to not start (make sure that you actually choose to not run, not simply a "don't display the icon" option). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If this does not work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line and on the Startup tab, uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do this just for the purpose of the minimum number of running programs. Despite what a lot of people tell you, you should be concerned, not with the way * a lot * of these programs you run, but * that *. Some of them can seriously affect the performance, but others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do is to determine what each program is that its value is for you and what the performance cost is running all the time. You can try searching the Internet and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

  • After a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium, how long will it take to run updates and it will take a lot of bandwidth?

updates after clean install of Vista Home premium

I plan on upgrading the hard drive on my laptop two year old, which will require a clean install of Vista Home Edition full.  I live in a remote with the satellite internet service.  I would like to know in advance what will happen after the installation with the updates of the program.  I will ask you to install them? It would take a lot of bandwidth?

    Hi EllenCB,

Welcome to Windows Vista community responses.

Once you make a clean installation on your hard drive is erased. Now, when you install the operating system return updates that have been deleted will be delivered by Windows update to install on your computer. To save time and bandwidth, you can directly install Service pack 1 and Service pack 2 for Vista which would contain more updates. Of course when you run Windows update and when you try to download from the internet, your download speed will decrease. It is best to keep your system up to date which will allow your version of Windows to run better.

Before installing the update, run the checksur tool, this tool is running an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations. Download the tool from the link below.

    (a) click Start .
    (b) in the search box type command prompt.
    (c) right-click and select run as administrator of .
    (d) type ping 127.0.0.1 and ENTRY.
