java-jar ords.war exception oracle.dbtools.rt.config.setup.Setup.execute
Hi all
I hope someone can help me.
I downloaded the REST of the Oracle Data Services (ords.2.0.6.42.09.36) and unpacked. I called for the first time configuration: java-jar ords.war
Unfortunately, I get an error:
java -jar ords.war Apr 10, 2014 2:45:22 PM oracle.dbtools.common.config.file.ConfigurationFolder logConfigFolder INFO: Using configuration folder: /home/oracle/ords null java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at oracle.dbtools.jarcl.Entrypoint.main(Entrypoint.java:58) Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException at oracle.dbtools.rt.config.setup.Setup.execute(Setup.java:71) at oracle.dbtools.common.cmds.DefaultCommand.execute(DefaultCommand.java:92) at oracle.dbtools.common.cmds.Commands.main(Commands.java:91) ... 5 more
I use Oracle JDK 1.8 on Ubuntu.
Oracle APEX 4.2.5 is installed on Oracle12 and Weblogic is installed (there is currently still), but the error follows immediately after having run the java command (so nothing made yet).
Kind regards
Michiel
Hey dB,.
He now works with Oracle JDK1.8, tip was to use "java-jar ords.war to install" instead of "java-jar ords.war" (as mentioned in the installation documentation).

And is it possible to simply store them in a folder randomly?Just start again with a clean apex.war from the zip distribution.

After some testing today with a new installation and plugin subversion in the latest edition of data Modeler this error happens with every start of the tool.
Have removed and unzipped the installation once again without changing the error.
After that, I started with another user on my computer, it the error does not occur.
Is there a system folder to remove the configuration of my personal like jdeveloper and sql developer?
I lose the most important features, for example. have no browser and cannot open a design.

Hi Torsten,
Thanks for reporting the problem. I logged a bug.
You can view together as "list of system types" directory to "preference > Data Modeler"-probably no longer exists. I guess that the setting for this directory is empty when you start SQL Dev as a different user.

These pots are for Java 1.2 and 1.4, but since you have not "say what you're trying to do there is no way of knowing which version of Java you have on your system or which of those you may be using, and what you use for.Why do you use these old JDBC jar?

Hello
OK, it's ridiculous, but just after I posted the message, I looked at the code for a few seconds and then I thought let me comment the 'theConnection.setAutoCommit (false); line and it seems that this was the cause of the error.
So I know that the solution to the problem, but someone who is a guru of sqlite and know how to investigate problems of sqlite like this is allowed to share his ideas basically, I would like to know if there is a systematic approach for debugging of problems where the sql exception does not provide much information.
Kind regards

the error of java that I encounter in oracle 11g when I using jdm
I have finished a java data mining program, it can work in oracle 10g. But now, I must apply this program in oracle 11g.
What should I do to make this work always in oracle 11g?
The pot have been replaced with 11 g pot. But when I debug the program, programName m_ of the BuildTask is always "dmsys.build_program" and it should be "sys.build_program".
Then when it is running to the executeTask, the error occurred.

Why can I not find the oracle.dbtools package
Hello
Im trying to develop an extension for sql developer. To complete my post, I need oracle.dbtools in the application. Everywhere I have look on the internet shows a few people who use it and for some reason any my JDeveloper find not what so ever. Where can I find this or what can I do to solve my problem.
Thank you
DavidDavid,
Have you tried to look inside the following jar file in both
1. a JDeveloper Studio 11.1.1.4 installation:...\jdeveloper\sqldeveloper\lib\oracle.sqldeveloper.utils.jar
2. a SQL Developer 3.1 installation:...\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\lib\oracle.sqldeveloper.utils.jarBoth contain an oracle\dbtools\raptor\newscriptrunner\CommandRegistry.class
I reference 11.1.1.4 since, as you probably know, the scope of the SQL Developer extension uses is based on this version of JDeveloper.

11 JDev on linux with java-jar jdevstudio11110install.jar does not
My environment was working great until there are a few days, then kaboom. Now I'm trying to pick up the pieces and can't seem to be able to install JDeveloper. I use Fedora 10.
Logged in as me, the default version of java is 1.6.0_13.
I get the installation screen. I can't press the next button. It simply doesn't get it. I then CTRL-C to return to the Terminal and with this version of Java, I have to kill-9 PID found using the command$ java -jar jdevstudio11110install.jar
If I perform the same steps in as root, I can install JDeveloper, but then I can only run it as root. At the launch of jdev, I get a screen of 'Select role' empty.ps -ef
Thank you, KenOK, thanks for the advice. Take them into account. On Oracle Linux I use Gnome as well...

Hello world
During playback of Oracle ADF Real World Developer's Guide, I noticed the dates match occurring in JDeveloper is different from what is the list in the book. JDeveloper is failing to oracle.jbo.domain.Date, but according to the book:
DATE java.sql.Date DATE type is mapped to java.sql.Date if the column in the table is a no time didn't need information zone. DATE java.sql.Timestamp DATE type is mapped to java.sql.Timestamp if the column in the table has a component "time" and that the client needs to zone information. TIMESTAMP java.sql.Timestamp The TIMESTAMP type is mapped to java.sql.Timestamp if nanosecond precision is used in the database. In general, is it better to use java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp instead of oracle.jbo.domain.Date? Using java.sql.Date and java.sql.Timestamp could save me some headaches conversion date. And, is there a place in JDeveloper to display these maps? I looked around and didn't see anything.
Thank you.
James
User, what version of jdev we are talking about?
In GR 11, 1 material versions db types date and timestamp are mapped to types of domain data that represents a wrapper for the native data types. The reason was that the framework can work with the domain types regardless of the underlying data type.
Since Oracle 11 GR 2 maps the types DB to java types (default selection, you can change it when you create a model project, you can set the Data Type Mapping). Once the pilot has business components define you cannot change this setting it would break existing components such as eo or vo.
So if you are working wit 11 GR 1 subject, you must use the domain types, if you work with GR 11, 2 or 12 c, you can use the domain types, but it is recommended to use the java type mapping.

Hello
I'm configuration (v11.1.1.2) identity management product, the installation was very well made. I started to configure it using the config.sh script. I chose to create a new weblogic domain and selected to configure OID and OVD.
I am running Red hat linux 5.4 x 64 bit OS.
I gave all the parameters configuration, such as requested and if failure at the stage where it creates the Oracle Internet Directory store with the error in the log below:

Few things to check.
What is the JDK/JRE Version.
What is the version of WLS?
From the error lines, I can see THAT RCU Version is 11.1.1.3.If the WLS version is 10.3.3, so it is not supported with IDM 11.1.1.2.
Suggestions: update IDM to 11.1.1.3 and configure it. Here are the steps.
-Cancel the Configuration Wizard, delete the directories of domain Instance ACE and WebLogic OR if it's on the virtual machine, you can return to the previous snapshot.
-Update IDM in 11.1.1.3
-Execute config.cmd or confg.shLet me know the result.
Thank you

loadjava error when opening the file:-fix java.io.FileNotFound of Exception
Dear,
I have Oracle 11 GR 2 on Windows 2008r2. I have a very strange question while trying to load ordinary Java source. I get the error that loadjava cannot open the file. I use the following command to load:
-----%ORACLE_HOME%\dbhome_1\BIN\loadjava -thin -user ORAMQ/***@localhost:1521:DEVAR -verbose -fileout %C:\temp\loadjava-9-MQReasonCodeResolver.java.log C:\src\MQReasonCodeResolver.java –resolve
I got the following error in the file details:
-----arguments: '-user' 'ORAMQ/***@localhost:1521:DEVAR' '-thin' '-verbose' '-fileout' 'C:\temp\loadjava-9-MQReasonCodeResolver.java.log' 'C:\src\MQReasonCodeResolver.java' '–resolve' creating : source MQReasonCodeResolver loading : source MQReasonCodeResolver Error while opening file: –resolve Exception java.io.FileNotFoundException: –resolve (The system cannot find the file specified) creating : –resolve The following operations failed –resolve: opening file
The code is very simple and has no problem:
import java.lang.reflect.Field; public class MQReasonCodeResolver { public MQReasonCodeResolver() { } public static final String MQ_EXCEPTION_CLASS = "com.ibm.mq.MQException"; public static final String RC_FIELD_PREFIX = "MQRC_"; public static final String RC_VALUE_FIELD = "reasonCode"; public static String resolve( Exception mqex ) { if ( !canResolve( mqex ) ) return mqex.getClass().toString() + mqex.getMessage(); Class class1 = mqex.getClass(); try { Field field = class1.getField( RC_VALUE_FIELD ); Object key = field.get( mqex ); Field[] fields = class1.getFields(); for ( int i = 0; i < fields.length; i++ ) { Field ff = fields;
String name = ff.getName();
if ( name.startsWith( RC_FIELD_PREFIX ) && ff.get( null ).equals( key ) )
{
return mqex.getMessage() + " " + name;
}
}
}
catch ( Exception ex )
{
}
return "unknown";
}
public static boolean canResolve( Exception exx )
{
Class class1 = exx.getClass();
while ( Exception.class.isAssignableFrom( class1 ) )
{
if ( MQ_EXCEPTION_CLASS.equals( class1.getName() ) )
return true;
class1 = class1.getSuperclass();
}
return false;
}
}I load other classes and no issue, even jar files, I don't know what is the problem with this file? Also, it is strange is creating class and loading it has no issue, but the issue comes when resolve. Can anyone help?
Hello:
Put your - solve the flag at the beginning of the argument list.
Last arguments should be files to download by loadjava.
