• Convert to PDF from Slddrw on server (using VueBean without AutoVue)

  I'm having some trouble of a Solidworks drawing to PDF conversion. I am trying to accomplish the following:

  (1) download a Solidworks drawing using a servlet.  -Success

  (2) convert the file to PDF format on the server.        -Fails (specifically the line 167 - m_vueBean.convert (opts); in the attached code fails)

  I use AutoVue 20.2.2 (2D professional version) that comes bundled with Agile 9.3.3.

  The code that I use, which is a minor variation of the example code provided by oracle is attached.

  Please suggest if there is something wrong with this approach. Thanks in advance.

  I developed a SOAP based WebService (JAX - WS) for product information. I deployed on stand-alone Weblogic server and the resulting WSDL file generated.

  In the ADF, we totally 3 options to work with the WSDL file.

  1 web Service DataControl (which will directly create a DataControl to access services exposed by Web service through WSDL)

  2 web Service proxy. (A proxy for the Web service of the Fund and offers to the client to interact with the exposed services)

  3. Java Web Service WSDL.

  From these 3 options, I am aware of the first two options. But on the way to the 3rd point or Java Web Service from WSDL, I'm not in a position to know. in what scenario, we will use this service.

  Now I have created the java web services starting from the WSDL. After generating the files of the project structure is as below.

  Please let me know where to start to interact with my application services. (We must separate class DC or any other way to interact)

  On top of the implementation class (ProductsSEIImpl.java), we have an option called create a Client for the Web Service Annotations.

  This is the right option to choose, so that the client Classes get generated pertaining to this service. Of the client class, we can access the services available?

• Problems with XFA in the HTML5 Convertion in Livecycle server

  We work on the control of feasibility to make dynamic XFA form within our application to allow the end-user to complete and save the form.  We used LiveCycle Designer ES4 to design forms. Everything works fine with the PC but when tried to charge iPad form did not load at all.

  We tried the LiveCycle server to convert the file in HTML5 to render to the iPad. But it seems not neat in PDF.  Below the problems we know.

  1. 1 data binding doesn't work not for some columns but it works perfectly in version PDF
  2. 2. the tables are not aligned correctly based on the number of lines, the following table is overlapped on the table.
  3. 3. place the button takes the page URL WebAPI (used to record the input form) instead of save the content. When it is called from the PDF file, it saves correctly.

  Please provide any standard/guidelines for the design of the document which will be converted into HTML5 properly.

  In addition, we would like to know the price of the LiveCycle server and is there any way of available light server that has simply the XFA in the conversion of HTML5. Lifecycle server comes with a distributable license?

  Ive tried to install the stand-alone Essbase 11.1.2.1. And my question is, is it mandatory to go with the http server. Cause under normal circumstances, from the OHS opmn instance starts apache.exe process in my server which we do not want to be running. I came across a few docs and one of Jean post where I found the workaround below.

  OPMN is part of the installation of OSH in 11.1.2.1 but this does not mean THAT OHS will run for essbase deployment.
  If you deploy OSH then another service OPMN will be created running OSH.

  Your ability to reduce the file without diminishing its quality depends on the quality required for their intended use. If these are intended for viewing on screen, then high resolution pictures can be re sampled or changing the resolution without real change is the quality, as long as the user can say. Number of files use subsets of fonts or the incorporations of fonts. Sometimes you can remove subsets of fonts or embedding the fonts if the font will be on the user's system. Subsets of fonts can save space, but if the pdf is a result of several different sources, desincorporation policies and incorporating a copy of the policy can save space.

  Honestly, the size of 2 MB file is not the problem it once was. However, maybe the pdf not by e-mail at all. There are players on a server as well as a link sent to each user.

• Workbench and LiveCycle Server Incompatible

  I built an ADEP Document Server of the turnkey installation and apply the SP1.

  I downloaded the installation of Workbench from the Adobe site and loaded on my XP machine and the Windows Server 2008 that hosts LiveCycle.

  The two facilities of the Workbench are unable to connect to the server with the following message is displayed:

  OK - it turns out that I had to uninstall LiveCycle Server with SP1 and rebuild the server without SP1.

  This configuration works with the version of Workbench available as a download from the Adobe site.

  I hope this helps someone else avoid frustration.

  How do you open the pdf in unix (or linux) server, which is the operating system on your database server? Maybe it's to do something with the tool that you use to open the pdf, I remember some problems with opening the Toolbox open office
