JavaScript error - sudden onset

I hope you all can help me in my problem of Dreamweaver... I was the webmaster for my football club and use Fireworks to create my homepage (with the context menu). I have been using the same Fireworks file, that I update every year with new graphics.

This year, I received the following JavaScript Error Message:

While executing onClick in HTML.htm of fireworks, the following JavaScript error occurred:

On line 438 of the file "C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX 2004\Configuration\Shared\MM\Scripts\insertFireworksHTML.js": TypeError: menuFn.match (searchPatt) has no properties

Can someone explain how I can solve this problem?

Thank you...

  • Launch Dreamweaver 6 error - bcinit JavaScript error

    Hello

I have the latest DW6, under Win XP SP3 and receive all of a sudden the strange bug (I have pointed out), but I wonder if anyone has seen or has any ideas how to fix?

FYI, I already tried to uninstall completely creative cloud, by restarting, run the creative utility clean to remove all traces of any suite and then reinstalling creative cloud (takes hours ) and still have the same problem which is as follows below (FWIW I have never used BusinessCatalyst, either):

I launch DW and get the following error message "while executing onLoad in BusinessCatalyst.htm, the following JavaScript error occurred: in the file 'BusinessCatalyst': bcinit is not defined.

When I try to open a file I get the following error message "the following translators were not loaded due to errors: ASP.NET: has configuration information that is invalid.". BCDynamicTranslator.html: has configuration data that are not valid. BCStaticTranslator.html has configuration information that is invalid. "XSLTransform.htm: a configuration data are not valid.

Once I have delete the DW load dialog box. However, when I try to save a file then I get the message "while executing onLoad in _beforeSave.htm, the following JavaScript error occurred: in the file '_beforeSave': beforeSave is undefined.

In addition, the space in the Help menu for updates is simply empty, and there is no edition > paste the element either (just an empty space).

Another clue is that after I reinstalled creative cloud and BEFORE I applied the update, it seemed, DW ran OK (it is a quick check, so I could be wrong).

The above problems are DW rendered unusable for me right now, and it's totally weird, they remain after a complete reinstall, so clues about what happened and how to fix it would be received with gratitude!

  • applyServerBehavior Javascript error

Sitting just to work in Dreamweaver 8.02.

All of a sudden, when I try to create a recordset in an existing site, I get a "while running to Recordset.htm applySeverBehavior, a JavaScript error occurred." message box and the creation fails.

This happens with the ASP VB exisiitng pages or new new.

When I click on the 'Test' button in the Recordset dialog, it works It's only when I click 'OK' to create the Recordset I get the error.

    Never happened before today.

The problem occurs with a query or a table in my MS Access database I'm looking for.

I've updated to 8.02 a few days ago. What is the problem? Nothing else is different.

    You the man, Murray!

Delete the FileCache.dat file did the trick.

Now to reactivate my extensions and see if everything is good.

  • I get a #101 Javascript error in Firefox on my Windows 7 PC. It makes impossible to use Firefox! How can I fix?

JavaScript error preveny = ts me using Firefox!

  • JavaScript errors and can not find file

Since the 13.0 FF update, I have problems whenever I click on a link that opens a new tab or window. When I do that, I get a series of about 2 dozen pop-up windows with various Javascript errors.

Because they all speak Web Clipper (an Evernote Add On) I contacted their support.

They sent me a link and instructions for updating Web Clipper, but when I try to install it, Firefox tells me...

"Impossible to install Evernote Web Clipper because FireFox can't find the file necessary."

After a lot of back and forth, including screen shots of all 24 popups, Evernote support sending told me it looks like a problem with Firefox.

So here I am. If someone is able to help me with this, please speak slowly and distinctly. I'm pretty good at finding my way, but I * am * over 40 years!

The only other idea I can offer to the top for you is uninstall Firefox and start with a fresh install. I know it's a huge drawback too, but it sounds like that old version of add on has really messed up the program itself.

If you feel it you can always create a new profile to use and make it your defect: create a profile

Profiles are basically as user accounts for firefox, thus creating a new it is like having a clean install (although not really) and it will not also all user data (as the history of passwords, Favorites, etc.) You may be able to migrate these data in it though: recovery of data from an old profile

  • "ReferenceError: prepareFFB is not defined" I started to have this JavaScript error recently, every time I start Firefox. I would like to stop this error

I get the following JavaScript error every time I start Firefox:

    ReferenceError: prepareFFB is not defined.

Hello, this sounds like it is probably caused by an add-on. you have any extension/theme installed, you can connect the "FFB"? Otherwise try to disable everything in firefox > addons > extensions & re-enable one by one to see which one might be causing the error message.

  • New pop-up Javascript error, could not initialize dlwatch extension, oPref.addObserver is not a function. Stops new windows to launch. Help.

Under Firefox 4 McabookPro, OS 10.6.7. When a new pop-up window open, which is necessary for some security applications, I get a Javascript error. It is said:

    [Javascript error]
    dlwatch (200)
    Could not initialize dlwatch extension
TypeError: oPref.addObserver is not a function.

It is a problem with the Video DownloadHelper extension.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

    • Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

    See:

  • It appears two times after the opening of Firefox ' [JavaScript error: 'dir is zero' {file: "file:///C:/Users/... and a new window opens each time."}] Opening of the modules in the Tools menu crashes Firefox.

Whenever I open Firefox, or when a website automatically opens a new window (NOT when I open a new tab or window) error message is displayed twice: ' [JavaScript error: "dir is zero" {file: 'file:///C:/Users/Steve/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/k8nfi7qa.default/extensions/%7B0538E3E3-7E9B-4d49-8831-A227C80A7AD3%7D/components/nsForecastfox.js' line: 323}] "when calling method: [ffIDiskService::get]"
Then, after closing the window of mistake twice, an AnyColor start/welcome screen appears in a second, open tab, which I then close to resume with the first tab (active). If I try to open the modules in the menu Tools, Firefox crashes and a script error message. It then becomes "unresponsive" and I have to force - close Firefox and reopen.

This looks like a problem with an add-on, especially the Forecastfox extension. To test this try to disable the add-on in safe mode, for details on how to see the extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common troubleshooting Firefox problems.

How the hell have managed to turn a great piece of software Adobe (Macromedia Dreamweaver) in a piece of absolute garbage, it's horrible and riddled errors javascript, I can't even save a file due to error in javascript, so what's the point of this unwanted software and how Adobe in good conscience keep it on the market?
