JavaScript to create indexes, accumulating the character offset

HI wonder-workers in script-index

I have a script that I run on a single document of two or 160 pages of a list of terms to index.

He does the job, but has a tendency to misplace the index gradually plu markers offset from the actual location of the actual target word.

The direction of the offset changes depending on whether I increments to the top or to the bottom of my list of txets returned from the story.search.

With the help of CS2, there are notes.

The offset is not exactly = number of referrals met so far, but largely move with about 60% of it (I have not checked it in detail) with 1000 points in a few pages later have on an offset of 50char of the s word in my file list.

Very little havewords in my index notes, although 1 or 2 I am OK to catch them just.

I tried réinvoquant story.search to create a new pageReferences.add list text after each (or 1/5)

in the case where the insert of the index mark creates the shift - but this makes it just run more slowly and does not solve the problem.

Most of the refs index will be correct but there will inevitably be some that drop from page to page x-1 x

Any ideas where I should look?

Good tests! I wasn't sure what version of Indesign had the problem of the terrible table, CS1, or CS2, he was apparently CS2. The problem with tables was that they slowed down the scripts to a pathetic crawl. It seems that they affect scripted index as well.

By placing all of the tables in their own frames I had the problem of overall speed.
Maybe it works for the drift of the index as well. Worth a try.

    You can use a listfield, he supports methods to get the selected row and its contents.

  • Why I can't create indexes on the table of RDF data

    When I tried to create indexes on the table of RDF data, it always say the table or view does not exist. I created the RDF model using java codes:

    It is not recommended to use the SYS or SYSTEM to store/manage schema graph RDF data.

    This happens usually when the script does not have enough permissions to manage this.

    Please make sure that this folder applications, and two libraries have full read and write.

    Also if it happens again, please tell me if you use Bridge for example or directly with Photoshop.

    If the schema is not annotated and XS: Integer and XS: String are mapped to types of data NUMBER and VARCHAR2 (4000), so you must use in your query to avoid typecasting unnecessary operations.

    You must also use XMLTABLEs chained when accessing a parent/child instead of a FLWOR expression relationship, otherwise the CBO cannot rewrite the XQuery query correctly (maybe it's fixed in the latest version).

    If you make these changes, the plan should show the cleaner predicates:

    correct syntax is
    ALTER TABLE.

    MOVE the LOB ()
    STORE AS (tablespace );

    Where is a name of the / columns LOB, not the name of the segment. Moving type LOB data will move its indexes as well.

    I'm having a problem on a database. When you create an index on an existing table on the upper part of a column, Oracle triggers an ORA-30553. I've done this 40 index other databases, with the same and different versions, without problem. When you create the index on a copy of the table, it is created with success...

    Thank you for the answers. I found the problem:

    On the table, there are 54 index:

    Select index_type, uniqueness, count (*) from user_indexes where table_name = 'FSYNRELATIE '.

    FIELD ARE NOT UNIQUE 1
    BASED ON A NORMAL FUNCTION ARE NOT UNIQUE 4

    3 unique indexes are the primary key and 2 another witch number field contains unique identifiers for rows in other systems. The domain index is an index of Oracle text on a couple of fields. There are 3 indices of function based on a high on a field and 1 on an individual function. This last clue has caused the problem. Apparently, on the creation, this function is deterministic, but when rolling a new version of the software. It became a non-deterministic function. When I delete the index, my original index on upper (sre_e_mail) has been created successfully! Now, I did the deterministic function again and could recreate the function without problem.

    I created as a result of the clues in the XML

    However, the problem is that I will be having several status within each XML that violates the indexing.

    So I'll start with a normal index the MSID (but I think you already have), but provide a compression on the column, I think the same value MSID exist several times in the table. If the performance is not satisfactory or that the plan is not the best, then an option to include more columns can help you.

    I think that the first part of the answer will bring more gain.

  • Help! Get the index of the character in the Characters collection

    for example, in a script I have to as fast and delete the text from the beginning of the paragraph charater until the first tab (or dot or colon or 'something'), as simple as posible.

    I was expecting something like

    myText=myParagraph.characters.itemByRange(0,"\t");
    myText.remove();
    

    Of course I can use grep, but it has its problems, and I was hoping that I don't have to (especialy because the script will need to do to 400 + times.)

    Any help?
