JDBC session count of v$ ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY

Hi all

I'm trying to find out the number of JDBC connections for a given period of time, as we have been unable to access the URL for some time.

Wanted to check if we max.jdbc connections (I see some java null pointer and cases of POOL-No. the OBJECTS AVAILABLE in the jvm logs)

I use sql below, but its not returning all rows

SQL > select count (*) from

2 v$ ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY

3 where module = "JDBC %.

4 and SAMPLE_TIME BETWEEN July 8, 13 11.38.50.634'M 'and 8 July 13 11.45.42.780 AM;

COUNT (*)

What I wanted to say is...

SQL> select sample_time
from v$active_session_history
where module like '%JDBC%';

Thank you

  • Easy remote VPN - IPsec Session count

I have recently updated our ASA5510 head to our datacenter to 8.2.1 to 8.4.5. The ASD has been also improved 6.2.1 to 7.1. (1) 52. Under the old code, a connected remote ASA5505 via remote VPN easy showed 1 IPsec tunnel. However, after the upgrade, it shows 42 sessions. It seems to me that each split tunnel network defined in the easy VPN profile is being counted as a tunnel. Someone has seen this, or is - it possible that I may have something misconfigured now that the code is upgraded? Thank you.

    Dave

No, IMHO, it's a display error in ASDM for 7.1.

Return to ASDM 6.4.9 and it should be 1 tunnel.

  • Unable to connect wireless, "ACS user exceeded max sessions" users

Some corporate users are unable to connect to the wireless company.

On the WLC, I get the following logs:

Authentication failure AAA for UserName:dto029 user Type: USER WLAN

The GBA, I get the error:

Authentic doesn't have a default group for ACS user exceeded max sessions (by default) 192.168.47.46 DTO029......

That means "user ACS exceeded max Sessions? How can I solve this problem? Connection problem faces few users, while others are able to connect.

Corporate SSID, Session Timeout & Client Exclusion is not enabled. The WLC version is 7.0.98.0 and the version of the CSA 4.2.0.124

The problem is solved the ACS is restarted. Is there a permanent solution?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

the error means that the users belong to the ACS Group (or the user themselves) has a "max session" setting, as described here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_for_windows/4.2/user/guide/Overvw.html#wp826493

.. and the user exceeds this limit.

ACS can indeed limit the number of concurrent sessions for the same user name; This counter is based on the RADIUS account management information received from the AAA client: the session counter is increased when receiving a 'Start' accounting and it is decreased when you receive a "Stop" on accounting package.

ACS for a reason if any don't receive an Acct-Stop, it won't reduce the number of session, so it may happen that your users exceed the max concurrent sessions allowed indeed.

You can check the active sessions on the "users" ACS report:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_for_windows/4.2/user/guide/LgsRpts.html#wp680304

If you restart ACS, this info is reset, so everything will work again, as you say; as an alternative, you can also use the options 'Purge logged in users' on the logged users page, but it would be wiser to really solve this problem by checking if... :

-do you really need the config of max sessions? Otherwise, you can simply disable this on users/groups configuration

-If you need for this limitation and the problem is related to the session that overlap, which means that the WLC should not send the Acct-Stop because there is always a session active and a new one is created at the same time, you can consider increasing the number of maximum session.

    Federico

    Hi Sam,

seen configs... Why are you opening an entire ip and tcp everything everything inside and outside... first remove these instructions and then see the performance... am sure most useless traffic go through now because of these statements...

No inside_access_in of the ip access list allow a whole

No inside_access_in access list do not allow a full tcp

see if this has solved the problem.otherwise he must refine the remaining access lists... Make sure that all ports are open, after you remove those 2 lines...

I have a few users are disconnected from their display the session with a message saying that their session has expired.  It's strange, because the user will be logged into their office work and all of a sudden, they are back at the login screen terminal wyse.  If they try to reconnect, they are picked up directly on their desktop.

  • Multi or JDBC data source data source

When you configure the JDBC Session persistence in Web App, do we need a MultiDatasource or just a source data JDBC with the Connection Pool?

    Published by: user734247 on April 26, 2012 15:24

A normal single JDBC targeted to the cluster data source should serve your purpose.
Mutli-datasource is mainly used to connect to multiple databases OR finding themselves in a RAC. This is very useful when you have a failover of the database. If you have a single database, a normal JDBC data source should be enough.

We use dynamic jdbc (application user is in fact the user db), so we need permission for all users to be able to create the PS_TXN table?

Your elapsed time is about 2000 seconds (31: 55 rounded up) - and your log file sync time is 10,000 - which is 5 seconds per second for the duration. Otherwise your session count is about 250 at the beginning and end of snapshot - so if we assume that the number of sessions is stable for the duration, each session has undergone 40 seconds synchronization log file in the meantime. You have saved roughly 1 500 operations in the meantime (0.91 per second, about 13 per cent of restorations) - so synchronize your time log file was on average more than 6.5 seconds by validation.

Regardless of how you look at it, this suggests that numbers of synchronization of the log file are false, or you had a temporary outage. Given that you had some expectations occupied buffer and control file write expects about 900 m/s each, the hardware failure seems likely.

Check log file parallel write times to see if this helps to confirm the hypothesis. (Unfortunately some platforms report liog, parallel wriite time of the files properly for earlier versions of 9.2 - so this may not help.)

You also 15 enqueue waits with an average of 1.2 seconds - check the enqueue statistics in the report section to see what enqueue it was: if it was for example (CF - control file), then it also helps confirm the hypothesis of material.

It is possible that you had a couple of resets of material or something like this in the meantime that stopped your system quite dramatically for a minute or two.

  • Count the number of active sessions in a meantime?

    Hi people;

I performed these three applications on my server Oracle 11 g r2, but I get three different results!
    SQL>  SELECT count(*) FROM v$session WHERE to_char(LOGON_TIME,'HH24:MI') BETWEEN '10:00' AND '12:00' AND LOGON_TIME>sysdate-1/2 ;

      COUNT(*)
    ----------
            45

    SQL>  SELECT count(*) AS nbconx
     FROM (
     SELECT DISTINCT SESSION_ID
     FROM v$active_session_history
     WHERE to_char(SAMPLE_TIME,'HH24:MI') BETWEEN '10:00' AND '12:00'
    AND SAMPLE_TIME>sysdate-1/2
     );
        NBCONX
    ----------
           827

SQL>  SELECT count(*) AS nbconx FROM (
     SELECT DISTINCT SESSION_ID
     FROM  dba_hist_active_sess_history WHERE to_char(SAMPLE_TIME,'HH24:MI') BETWEEN '10:00' AND '12:00' AND SAMPLE_TIME>sysdate-1/2
     );

        NBCONX
    ----------
          971
In fact, what I want to know is: "how many active session were opened on the database in a certain interval of one day.
Which of these application is good? Or are they all bad?

    Help please.
    Thanks for your knowledge

    Three things to get started:

    (1) v$ session contains only sessions that are open right now. Other views contain history. If you do not want session$ v.

    (2) If you want sessions to open between 10 and 12 today, say

    between trunc(sysdate)+10/24 and trunc(sysdate)+12/24

    (3) you must select separate session_id, session_serial #

  • Group ADF opening too many sessions of database JDBC Thin Client.

    Hi all

I have several panels of the ADF, which allows the user to run some simple queries against a database of Oracle is using the view objects ADF and ADF view links and ADF application module.
Each ADF Panel as I mentioned contains several queries view link and links in the form of Jbuttons to other ADF signs other ADF links running.
Run Control Panel of the ADF as described here opens up to 21 sessions of data showing as "JDBC Thin Client" when I look at their place of session$ v.
Why I find myself with a lot of databases of sessions.
Why didn't he just uses one or two sessions of database to run all of these links to view? It seems that it opens a session of data base for each of these links to view.

How can I change this destructive behavior? I have that one to see one or two sessions of database for the whole ADF matter how ADF display the links it contains.
    Your suggestions are most appreciated.

    Thank you.
    Bobby has.

Why so many AMs? Can not put all the your under a single AM?
Each AM you will use will open a connection to the DB.

  • count of session vCenter

For our Foglight environment we have virtual 2 centers with both going to a single FGLAM. If I connect on vCenter and select sessions I show Foglight 4 connections.
If I kill the sessions all return.

Why 4 connections? I expect to have only 1 of each vcenter.

They will come to the time where the agent collects the data again.  We use several sessions to collect performance data, inventory etc. in parallel to each other.  Otherwise, you will have to wait quite a long time in some environments of data would be complete/update.

  • Question about hit FxV filter using positioning counties/session

    Hello

Is there a way to create a filter of success for sessions with just 1-2 shots?  These may be just the regular shots listed in the screen FxV search Sessions or stored hits.

I'm trying to capture scenarios where something is wrong with our back-end system and only all first hit comes in which is a post for a specific URL method.  So if no other success does come in and if we see enough of these place, we can then trigger an alarm (on FMS).

    ideas?

    Thank you

    "mark".

    Hi Mark-

You can create a filter of Session in FxV who will catch only sessions with a number of access. Please see the screencap.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

I think to remember Grant in our team had a similar problem, it has been tracked down. In the meantime you can try and set the connection of the ADF BC to the J2EE data source?
