JDeveloper 12.2.1 - Directory Service is not valid

Hi, OTN,.

I can't find an answer to this question anywhere on Google or OTN so I thought I would make a new thread

I have a SOA Application which was originally established in 11.1.1.6 but imported and migrated to a 12.2.1.0 project.

Whenever I try to watch all types of existing adapters or create new adapters I get to the first screen of the wizard Configuration of adapter and when I click on 'Next', I get the following error message will appear and I can't continue:

"Error in directory service.

"Directory Service is invalid."

I've reproduced the problem on two separate installations of JDeveloper on two machines. The facility came from the fmw_12.2.1.0.0_soaqs of quick start...

The same is true when you use the adapter AQ, B2B, BAM, consistency, Database, file, FTP, HTTP, JMS, MQ, MFT, LDAP connection, MSMQ, Socket and adapters UMS

Would someone has an idea of what goes wrong with the assistants of the adapter, or that provide guidance to where might begin to know what goes wrong?

Thank you very much

Neil

I think I've answered my own question:

The error "directory of the Service is not valid" when you use the adapter configuration wizard appears when there is a space in the path of the request file

I was using a C:\Users\u0048432\Documents\mywork\Core Data\CoreData.jws file path for my application

If I rename the folder from C:\Users\u0048432\Documents\mywork\CoreData\CoreData.jws (no space), the error disappears and I can use the Adapter Configuration Wizard again.

A strange question that does not occur in the 11g version (I have spaces in the paths for all of my projects/applications).

I hope this message can be useful to someone in the future!

See you soon,.

Neil

  • When I try to find a LAN printer "directory service is not available" error appeas in XP

My laptop computer, an IBM T43, works in a room separate from the printer. The printer, a HP Photosmart C6180, is connected by a CAT5 cable to the wireless router, a Linksys WRT54G.  When the laptop is connected to the printer with a USB cable, it finds the printer and print. When he tries to print via the wireless network, it can not find a printer. When he tries to find the printer it gives the error "the directory service is currently unavailable." Nothing seems to go beyond this error. Efforts have been made through the administrative account.

It has been my experience that it is usually easier to install HP network printers using the HP software by running the windows "Add Printer Wizard."  This is especially true for all-in-one devices like your C6100.

The icon of the printer that you have (if you have not deleted) is the installation of a direct USB connection.

If the printer is connected to a point over the network, the correct port is perhaps still.  Select the properties of the printer as before and open the Ports tab.  Is there a line for which the middle ('Description') column is "HP Standard TCP/IP Port" or "Standard TCP/IP Port"?  If so, put a check mark in the box and now you'll be able to click on the button 'Configure the Port' and get the IP address to match the one configured in the printer (192.168.1.104).  Note that checking the box for a new port as it unplug the printer from printing to the USB port.

If no "HP Standard TCP/IP Port" or "Standard TCP/IP Port" is listed, you will need to go through the installation process to get it.  Although this can be done manually (if Windows knows your printer, which is doubtful for a C6100), as I wrote above, it is much easier to do using the HP software.  See pages 12 and 21-21 of your User Guide.  You must remove the USB connection, as suggested in step 4 of the instructions if you think you might use this connection at any given time.

If you do not have the CD that came with the printer, you can download the necessary software here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=1153494#N191 the package is large enough.  It's not not clear to me if the "basic print and scan" driver package can support a network installation.  The 'Corporate' bundle only if you do not want to download the complete collection of applications.  However, again based on my experience with the HP software, you might find more easy with the "Full Feature" package installation - if you can put up with the large download.

The database software was installed by a domain account (< domain > \OraAdmin) and all of these directories are created by the same account.  This domain account is a member of the local Administrators group.

  • Print Spooler service is not running, or active directory domain services is currently unavailable.

Original title: my printers on WIndows 7 seemed to have disappeared...

Printers are not listed for printing set up in Word, Notepad, Adobe, etc., when I try to add a printer, he said the local print spooler service is not running, or domain services active directory is currently unavailable.  Printers are shown on the list of devices, and when I run the troubleshooting it says that the print spooler problem is solved.  but I still can't print.  The question is on a laptop Samsung bought in store Microsoft to OakBrook, Illinois.

It started on 8 July and I was not able to resolve since.  In reviewing the restore points, I don't see any problems, and printers are recorded in the other PC, I plugged in.

    Thanks for your help.

    Imran,

Thank you very much for the reply onse.  I appreciate it.  I tried your suggestions and everything in the fix he said that the print spooler has been repaired, it would not print.  I ran the scanner and came without any problem.

I did a restore of the system to a point prior to the issuance and the printers are busy, apparently something in an update has a problem.  I'll look next week and see what happens.

Thanks again for your reply and your suggestions, I appreciate it.

  • Why Windows Update service does not work on my computer?

After a few months of not be used, my Toshiba Satellite L35 (Windows Vista Home Basic; Computer laptop Service Pack 2) can not access Microsoft Updates.  Whenever I try, I get a message "the service is not running" and tells me to restart, I did several times without success.  Norton 360, and Spybot, indicates no problems.

It's like something has removed or disconnected from all the Windows Update process.  "Update history" produces a blank page.

Suggestion 1: Get rid of Norton and Spybot Search and Destroy.  I do not recommend Norton/McAfee products, especially the suites (I recommend NO suites - simple is better.)  Spybot has been a good product, but a few years back, he just stopped doing as well.

Suggestion 2 (cumulative, not necessarily independent - but maybe): cleaning of your Windows Update stuff...

All the following items in the order shown - no matter what protection against that, you think you have.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

    Reset.

    Try to get updates.

If it still does not work, try this...

    1. Start an elevated command prompt.

  • Windows Search service does not (Windows 7)

    I am running Windows 7 64 bit.
Whenever I try to search that I am asked to turn on indexing, and I do.
Because it is a recurring event, I studied further in indexing options.
Indexing options said "indexing does not work" and and only allows me to enter the advanced options.
Automatic troubleshooting futher gives me error measage "Windows Search service does not..." "Not fixed".
I checked the services and tried to force start this service and get "error 3: the system cannot find the path specified."

Can someone help me with this service?

Security of Windows 7 is a PIA and what my problem was. "Indexing does not' and my inability to start theWindows Search service has persisted despite all these tips above and much more.

When I went to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data and took possession of it (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/), I was able to restart the Windows Searchservice. Subsequently, indexing ran and worked.

We need the value of the securities of the ProgramData (C:\ProgramData) directory in order to stop this _ to interfere with the installation of programs and, often, the execution of programs and services. Right-click on C:\ProgramData and select Security, then the set of permissions to allow all permissions (http://www.blogsdna.com/2159/how-to-take-ownership-grant-permissions-to-access-files-folder-in-windows-7.htm) and the problem disappeared. (Note C:\ must be path of your window or use your default root.)

Thank you Microsoft Support for your irrational, frustrating security measures and the fact that your support team has no idea. You have not been able to write a user friendly OS from XP and probably since MSDOS. Too bad I hate Apple more than you.

6 hours of BS to understand this.

I hope it works for you.

  • No prompt connection at the connection, only the directory service repair mode works

I have window 7 and there was an automatic update that took place last night. 15 updates I think. This morning when I have time to connect, everything seems normal. When I click on my icon to enable the password prompt to appear, instead the icon disappeared a moment then reappeared with no password. I tried to fix it, I run into all the different security modes, etc., but nothing works, I can't get the password prompt to appear. Any ideas?

Update: I was able to get through "directory service repair mode. I have not to do anything more until I get more information.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem can occur either due to start-up files Windows corrupted or if the master boot record and boot sector is damaged.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Startup Repair to do it and check.
    Refer to this article:
What are the system recovery options in Windows?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-are-system-recovery-options#what-are-system-recovery-options=Windows-7

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Please use the suggestions in this article and check the issue.
    Reference:
Use Bootrec.exe in the WINRE to resolve startup problems
    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/927392

Note: You may need another installation of Windows 7 DVD. You must also change the priority of boot on DVD in the BIOS settings of your computer to boot from DVD.

Important: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

Since we had no access to the ACS server. We tried to take backup of csutil but there was the schemalayer error message. As we stopped AV, logs files removed from the directory, killed services stuck from the Task Manager and restarting the server. If it's still not allowing you to restart services, most likely you need to take backup, uninstall the ACS server and reinstall the same version of ACS, followed by restore.
