JDeveloper: do not store database connections when you start

Hello

I just got a machine rebuild, and after installing JDeveloper, import my previous database connections JDeveloper, JDeveloper closing and then restarting him, connections were lost. I then have to re-import, which works up to that I restart, and around go us. I have not tried anything else (Java projects, etc.) yet. Any ideas? For what it's worth, I have also installed SQLDeveloper, and keeps connections (that weren't SQLDeveloper, JDeveloper).

Operating system: Win7 64 bit, 7u3 64-bit JDK, JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0 (previous machine was exactly the same apart from him had 11.1.2.0.0; worked well)

A quick googled around and research through forums did not bring anything to the light for me.

Kind regards

Ghee

Hello

I use JDK 6_24 and importing here works very well. Then maybe a JDK problem. You can change the JDK in jdeveloper\jdev\bin\jdev.conf

  • oci_close does not release the connection when you use DRCP

    Hi all

    We are currently testing the deployment of DRCP with 11g. I have the setup of this (to my knowledge), but I am facing a problem. Oci_close call does not seem to release the connection to the pool, because I expect and that is why we see similar behavior as we receive without using the DRCP.

    Our facility is using two instances of CCR 11.1.0.6.0 running, I use PHP 5.1.6 with installed from PECL oci8 1.3.4. DRCP pool is configured and launched, each with 100 servers max.

    When the Web server is idle, well, it looks like slow motion.

    SQL > SELECT INST_ID select, NUM_BUSY_SERVERS OF SGS$ CPOOL_STATS;

    INST_ID SELECT NUM_BUSY_SERVERS
    ---------- ----------------
    1 0
    2 0

    The script is as simple as that:

    <? PHP
    $c is oci_pconnect ('scott', 'tiger', 'IWPPOOLED');.
    $s = oci_parse ($c, ' select * from emp');
    $r = oci_execute ($s, OCI_DEFAULT);
    oci_close ($c);
    Sleep (30);
    ? >

    What I expected, it's that the script would be to connect to the pool, doing work for a little while and then release the connection for use by other scripts.

    But after I point the browser to the script, I get a 30 seconds time of loading (as expected) but the server is busy all the time, like this:

    SQL > SELECT INST_ID select, NUM_BUSY_SERVERS OF SGS$ CPOOL_STATS;

    INST_ID SELECT NUM_BUSY_SERVERS
    ---------- ----------------
    1 0
    2 1

    After 30 seconds of sleep, he is released and busy servers are at 0.

    If I load the server with ab using 256 connections:

    AB - n 1000000 - c 256 k - http://mywebserver/ocitest.php

    the pool is at the maximum and links are at a standstill:

    SQL > SELECT INST_ID select, NUM_BUSY_SERVERS OF SGS$ CPOOL_STATS;

    INST_ID SELECT NUM_BUSY_SERVERS
    ---------- ----------------
    1 95
    2 95

    My config this service network is the following:
    IWPPOOLED =
    (DESCRIPTION =

    (FAILOVER = ON)
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp) (HOST = 10.1.16.33)(PORT = 1521))

    (TYPE = SELECT)
    (METHOD = BASIC)
    (RETRIES = 5)
    (TIME = 3)
    )

    The phpinfo() function will look like this:

    I use the instant client for 11g

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Don't forget to use oci_free_statement ($s); See "Closing Oracle Connections" in the Underground PHP and Oracle manual. (I was just simplify this example today for the next version of the manual).

    You can also see the "dedicated optimization", where a server pooled in a non-maxed-out pool is retained (except if needed by another process PHP) assuming that the initial process of PHP can become active again. See http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/php/pdf/php-scalability-ha-twp.pdf

  • Can I save to file or print the global contacts in Thunderbird. Not only the contacts but all contacts that indicate when you start to fill out an address to send to.

    There must be a file somewhere in Thunderbird for all of your communications by e-mail that stores the e-mail addresses of everyone. When you start typing an address you will display a list of people with whom you communicated with in the past. Many of these people are not in your contact/address file. I want to somehow extract this file to Thunderbird.

    You have two default address books. The personal book where you add contacts and the collected book which keeps information for messages that you send.
    So you're looking for the collected address book.
    When you open the address book window, you should have your books listed as folders on the left margin in the directory pane. If the pane is not displayed, select View-Layout and click on.

    Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

    Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

    If that's really what you see, then your system is now or was hit by malware.

    It is sometimes easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem by simply deleting the startup message.
    I would also not recommend you start digging in the registry to try to find the startup item and remove it unless you have a backup of your system or at least a backup of your registry, because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
    These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom if they not even work at all, but they can't actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.  You don't need to try ideas that might work, you must do something that will always work all the time.
    Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
    There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.  If you do not have a good explanation for the name of the file in a Google search, the chances are good that your system is currently or has been infected by malware.
    A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
    It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
    Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
    So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.

    You must be sure to solve the problem and not just fix the symptom of the problem by simply relieving your message - system is not a fix (there is a difference).

    If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
    If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
    Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry
    . There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
    Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
    You can also use the Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
    Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
    When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
    The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
    Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
    If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
    You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
    Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can just turn it off, restart and if the problem is resolved and things are functioning normally and everything works fine, then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
    Given that your system has or has had an infection, follow up with this:
    Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
    Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
    They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

    First of all, note that you should be concerned all the programs
    starts automatically, not only those who enter in the system tray.
    Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the
    Status bar.

    On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its
    Options to see if he has the choice of not start (make sure you)
    Indeed choose not to run, not just a "don't show icon.
    Optional). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If that is not
    work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line, and then click the Startup tab.
    Uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

    However, if I were you, I wouldn't do it just for the application of
    the minimum number of running programs. Despite what many people say
    You should be concerned, not with the way that a lot of these programs
    you run, but who. Some of them can degrade performance severely, but
    others have no effect on performance.

    Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do
    is to determine what each program is, what its value is up to you which
    the performance cost is its running all the time. You can try
    Internet search and ask questions about the details here.

    Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed
    decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.
