JDK 1.7 is supported for Jdev 11.1.1.7.0?

Hello

We evaluate to upgrade our Jdev 11.1.1.6.0 to 11.1.1.7.0 application. We also assess for upgrade to JDK 1.7.

I installed Jdev 11.1.1.7.0 [Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.7.0_GENERIC_130226.1400.6493] and then manually installed Hotspot JDK 1.7 64 bit for windows [build 1.7.0_51 - b13] and singled out Jdev Java version 1.7.

Now, when you try to compile the code, I get after warning (it's Jdev self-generate VOImpl class, so no custom code not involved):

  • ATTENTION: support source 'RELEASE_6' annotation 'oracle.dbtools.common.service.ConfigProcessor' lower CPU version at-source '1.7 '. "

So the fundamental question is - jdk1.7 is supported for 11.1.1.7.0?

If not, what are the options? Is it recommended to use for development 1.6 and 1.7 for DURATION?

Thank you

JAI

We use 'default' under JDK Version Compatibility option [project properties--> compiler] and get this warning. After that I changed the Source to 1.6 and 1.7 target then the caveat went.

In any case, thanks for pointing the finger of other 11.1.1.7.0 using the jdk 1.7 question.

Thank you

JAI

  • Is there a beta support for UNIX 2.2 JavaFX applets?

    Hi guys,.

I would like to test my 2.2 - based Linux JavaFX applet... Y at - it already a beta support for applets in the latest version 2.2 and how can I work?

    Thank you

There is obviously something created for UNIX 2.2 JavaFX applets, that's why jiras like this:
http://JavaFX-JIRA.Kenai.com/browse/RT-22922 "Gtk: Crash on exit when you run the JavaFX applet in the browser.

If there is an accessible jdk early access build which includes javafx for Unix, it would currently be available here:
    http://jdk7.Java.NET/Download.html
You can try the installation steps in the jira if you were particularly vivid.

Note This is obviously an unstable element in development.

  • support for the iPhone/iPod Touch browser

Probably not the right place to post but...

I get a pop up in Safari on iPod Touch saying I have an unsupported browser. IE 7, Firefox, etc. are supported. The project is using components of the ADF.

Web pages work in Google Chrome.

Where can I adjust / add the browser target in JDev/WebLogic?

    Hello

Support for iPhone/iPod Touch Safari is ADF Mobile, which, as Shay has pointed out, requires the use of the library of the Trinity. A notice to ADF Mobile project may contain no reference to ADF Faces components. The General steps for creating an application the ADF Mobile is as follows:

    1. define your model as usual, or simply re - project use the same template project or your application as your ADF Faces app.
    2. create a new project - select a generic project. When you are prompted for the technology of the project, simply select "Mobile". This would bring about the necessary libraries for ADF Mobile, but nothing else.
    3. create the page stream and views as you would for any JSF application. You can use any Trinidad component available in the component palette.

The tutorial for creating a simple mobile application is at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards/adf_set_51/ccset51_ALL.html

The short demo for creating a mobile application is at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/viewlets/viewlet.html

For ADF Developers Guide Mobile also contains useful information, which is located in the documentation section of the JDeveloper/ADF.

Finally, there is a sample application that contains a number of optimizations for smartphone browsers, including specific optimizations for the iPhone. You can download the example file to the: http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/wireless/adfm_new.zip. This sample application is designed to work with the Fusion order demo. You can try to follow the tutorial above and then use this project as a sample for you improve app.

  • No support for npapi plugin?

Hi, we use software that is based on JAVA for our clients to access our services. As I read in some news, support for NPAPI plugins will end in the 64-bit version of firefox 41 (so java no longer be supported). This is only version 64-bit windows or Linux and Mac also being targeted? We need this information so that we can tell our customers that we always support the browsers.
    Thanks in advance

Only the start of Firefox Win64 41,0 + version will have only whitelisted Flash Player 64-bit for now.

64 bit versions of Mac OSX and Linux may continue to use other plugins compatible 64-bit in addition to Flash Player.

That the Firefox 42.0 is the current target for Win64 version as was 41.0 previously. The Fx Win64 41.0 b # is based on the beta channel will be affected by the white list.

  • Where can I find detailed, systematic support for the advanced Thunderbird related topics?

In moving from XP to Windows 7, I opted for Thunderbird as a mail client in order to circumvent hyper intrusive Windows Live Mail to Microsoft (I used Outlook Express for years).

I have a very complicated E-mail structure, and it took me weeks (seriously) to learn how to reproduce it in TBird. Now, I try to customize TBird more, but none of the TBird articles/forum Q & A / searches on Google to ask my questions.

There is no support direct tech TBird, and I'm almost ready to leave for good. However - a last effort: where can I find detailed, systematic support for the advanced Thunderbird related topics?

    Thank you.

  • Firefox mobile not supported for lg optimus zip

Hello, I have recently switched to straight talk and was sad to find that firefox mobile is not supported for the lg optimus zip. In the future, I hope that this will change.

Hello moon_serenity, firefox does not work on your device because it has to little memory RAM (150 MB instead of the 384 needed for firefox to run). in the past there has been efforts to make firefox on android race on more than low-end devices, but the 384 seem to be the background limit which was concluded in which is possible to achieve. If I am afraid that there will be no way to make firefox run on the lg optimus zip.

  • "Support for Shared iPad in iOS 9.3.

In the description for the GarageBand 2.1.1 iOS update, I see one of the items listed is "Support for Shared iPad in iOS 9.3.»

Out of curiosity, what it means exactly? What this has to do with the support of several users to create GarageBand projects on the same iPad? Or, in this same sense, it has to do with school education new features introduced in iOS 9.3?

He was a frequently requested feature by music teachers to be able to have several students use the same iPad, but not in order to remove the songs from GarageBAnd created other students.

With Shared iPad all students will be able to download specific projects and content at the beginning of the class and use the iPad with the own AppleID. "t-for-students-new-classroom-app http://appleinsider.com/articles/16/01/11/ios-93-for-ipad-adds-multi-user-suppor".

I couldn't find details on the new version of GarageBand, but I hope that the support for Shared iPad means that students can save their projects on the Apple ID own and restore them directly before the start of the class.

I see that you are still running Firefox 17.

Is there a special reason why you don't have not updated to the current version?

The version of Firefox Firefox 17 that you are currently running is no longer compatible with security updates
