  The short answer is no. The upgrade to KitKat changed the boot loader for a downgrade from Jellybean is not feasible and pacifier is not yet available.

  The long answer is to check a bunch of things to determine why KK doesn't work well for you. Most people report improved performance although there are some older applications that do not have issues. I would like to start by saving your personal data and then do a reset.

• mobile apps to sd card in jellybean

  I heard jellybean 4.1 and 4.2 do not support mobile apps to sd card, but I want a real answer, jellybean update for e support go/j/xperia xperia will move to the map sd (updated official Sony), because they all have slots for sd cards and limited internal memory!   Since an official JB update isn't out yet, I can't answer that question. We'll just have to wait. But personally, I doubt that phones that has the ability to move apps to SD card it will lose in the update.

• Is there a bluetooth issues with ICS / Jellybean on IdeaPad A2109

  Hi all: I was wondering is there any kind of problems with the bluetooth on an A2109 with her wanting to disconnect at will and being almost impossible to get it to reconnect.
  I know it's a problem inheirent with ICS and on my Iconia A500 it was driving, me crazy to the point that I returned using a mini usb keyboard plugged into it. I also bought off game Google a program called Bluetooth Keep Alive and there is a little help but has not solved the problem completely.

  This problem occurs even with my bluetooth mouse, but once I have hung do until he's going to stay until I stop my tablet.

  The reason why I asked this before, I bought my A2109 is if I have this kind of problem so that I can live with it being a bit of a pain with my mouse but if even upgrade to Jellybean doesn't solve the problem, if the A2109 has this problem.

  Having to load it via the mini-usb port, which makes it nearly impossible to leave my wired keyboard connected while I use it.

  I might have to look like an excited Toshiba.

  Unless someone here can give me a certain fixed light or an alternitive that it is able to load when you use my wired keyboard. Thanks for your comments.

  I'm sure that you cannot connect a charger to a hub.  However, a powered hub should provide some charges to the A2109, though not much.

  The minimum requirement for DPS 2015 is 4.4 Android. Looks like there are typo on this help page, I'll work with Bob and we'll get the update of the page.

  Having some problems with my 8 win and my wife droid Jellybean OS smartphone...  Mind, I can't find a flash player that installs in my phone to 8 victory, and the 'official' of the droid market flashplayer is so loaded with adware and spam generating nonsense, that my wife uninstalled, opting not to goto flashplayer based websites rather than tolerate the never-ending stream of popups and ads on his phone.

  Please advise me if Miss me something.  Is there a flash player to the new motorola droid?  Is there a flash drive for new win 8 devices?

• JellyBean with 4.6 mobile app issues

  I have two questions which seem to me can be connected.  I created an app for Android without integrated execution (so users must download AIR).  It has been working well.  Recently, we have a few users say that their device says that our app is not compatible with their version.  We ASSUME that it is a matter of JellyBean - but we guess right here.

  1 are there problems with JellyBean or other devices, and a compiled application of non-integrated-runtime 4.6?

  Now, this is where it gets weird:

  2 so I guess it might have something to do with Flash jettisoned and decide to just try with the integrated application.  When I do, the application load fine - sort of.  While the application loads seems not able to get connectivity to our back-end ('cloud' basic database) data.  We believe that it must be part of the access to remote (via BlazeDS) data objects when the runtime is integrated. More information: it works very well in the emulator - but I do not know how when talking about integrated lasting, etc. the emulator.

  At first, I thought that the user didn't have a stable internet connection (which would have cast the same mistake) and then I was able to reproduce on my own device on which I have obviously checked to make sure I had respect.

  Thoughts?  I don't know where to look for it and Google is no help.

  Found the solution (can not believe the person on the other has answered this yet - well, I guess I can believe it).  In any case, the problem is with the version of AIR being packed.  I am currently using Flex 4.6.  This version, and as the case (so far) in the 4.7 version, you must update the AIR SDK manually.

  Here's what I did:

  I went to my XML file root (in the src package) and changed the minimum required AIR runtime (not sure if this is a mandatory step, but one of them I did and now it works - it certainly won't hurt).  Here's how the first two lines now, look:

  Note that the only thing that I changed was the version number at the end of 3.1 to 3.4 (the most recent version of AIR).  Save and build.

  Then is the last step.  You must downlaod and update Adobe SDK and manually replace it on your local machine.  The official adobe instructions on this can be found here:

  Although I found their slightly confusing instructions.  Here's my revised version...

  You'll want to unpack this and copy this to an existing folder.  Here's where I was confused initially - within this SDK files are not complete.  They are not the entire file.  Thus, you need to copy (or move) the files in the ZIP file in the right folder.  This is the second point which was confusing - exactly which folder.  Go to this folder on your local drive:

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks

  This directory was two subfolders.  4.6.0 and 3.6.0.  At first I thought that these referred to the version numbers AIR SDK, which has no sense (obviously) since the last current version is 3.4.  These are the directories for the Flash/Flex builder, satisfied.  So, I never do the compilation back so I took both of these files and COPIED to a folder 'archives' I created my backup.  So I just copied the files from the newly downloaded SDK AIR and moved them in the 4.6.0 folder (always found in... \sdks\4.6.0).  As I mentioned earlier, this is going to crush some, but not all the files (as it is not a replacement of the entire folder).

  I understand that all makes sense a lot better when I take a step back and watch, but when you try just the things in the hope that it will solve a problem you can't find google/forum/that this be a single answer to it can be confusing.

  In any case, I hope that this helps someone out there.  I will list some of the things that I was doing here in the case that someone else looking for the same thing.

  I usually have no problem using Firefox on my phone. I have a M7 a HTC with Android OS 4.3. As you may know, this phone came pre installed with Adobe flash. I would use my native browser but Lookout attracted my attention to a vulnerability on android for OS 4.3 and below browsers. For this reason, I installed Firefox. When it came to playing flash content, I had no problem, the consultation through Firefox. A few weeks ago I started noticing problems with flash content. I thought that I needed to update to Firefox, so I did. I always had the same problem. I also "forcibly closed", restarted the phone, deleted the data and conducted a uninstall/reinstall. Nothing has worked. Also, I have advanced and updated my flash player to the most recent available. That did not work either. I decided to test Firefox on my old HTC EVO 4 G with Android OS 2.3.5. Believe it or not, the same problem occurs there so I KNOW there must be something with Firefox. Firefox changed something recently that causes this problem? Is there something that can be done to solve this problem? I even tried to install an older version of Firefox (32 & 33) and always had the same problem. Someone please help.

• No Firefox menu button on rooted android 7 "kindle fire 2 running jellybean

  There is no button menu at the top right and no physical menu button on tablet. also, no Firefox option in settings of the Tablet, what happens?

  As you have seen, Firefox for Android should adjust automatically depending on whether you have a physical button menu. On devices with a physical button (e.g. Galaxy S3) is not on the menu display button. On devices without physical (e.g. Nexus 4) button on the screen button is displayed.

  Kindle Fire is not a supported device (even on the stock rom) so I guess there's an oddity on this device or your rom that is causing the problem.

  I tried to find a way to force Firefox to display the button, even when he thinks he has a physical button available. My guess is that there should be a setting in all: config somewhere but I have been unable to find it or any reference to people trying to do the same thing online.

  Unless someone else comes back with an answer, I would suggest trying one of the following values:

• Why can't I see my downloads in the downloads folder? (Android 4.2.1 Jellybean)

  I just got the new Google Nexus 4 and turned mobile Firefox as my main browser, but I recently discovered a problem. When I download a file (such as a PDF) out of a site to read with quickoffice Android, no file will in app downloads Android. I assumed that the file was only bring bring temporarily a file downloaded for a while from view but when I tried this same process with mobile Chrome, has been in the application of downloads. I installed a third party for the browser on my phone and looked into the downloads folder, it showed for my phone and discovered the files I was downloading with Firefox in it. It seems that Firefox does not display the files downloaded in the download provided with Android application which is a problem because it means that without a third party for the browser, you can not get rid of them. (Petty for sizes but they eventually fill your storage of phones). A download folder is provided with Firefox? Downloads is visible in the application downloads stock?

  Using stock download required additional permissions. We didn't add the following permission to the app.

  DOWNLOAD FILES WITHOUT NOTIFICATION

  Allows the application to download files via the download manager without any notification to the user.

  Downloads can be viewed using a file browser. Personally, I like OI File Manager as it is exactly what I need and nothing more.

• Jellybean 4.1.2 update fails on my ICS x 910 4.0.4

  My phone is XT910 4.0.4 running version of the 672.180.41.XT910 system. Retail.en.FR.

  Yesterday morning, I was informed of an available update. Later in the evening, I started the update, which took about 40-50 minutes to download the update, then tried to apply it. I got the screen with Android and blue geometric shape with the progress bar ticking along until it takes about 25%, then the Android fell backwards with a sign of the triangle. The rebooted device and a message popped up saying the update failed.

  I started the process of update again, which again took 40-50 minutes to download ~ 285 MB (it's * very * slow). This time the update started, and as far as I can see the progress bar went from 0% to 25% almost instantly, then Android covered again at the same point and phone rebooted with the error again.

  Two questions:

  1. is it possible to download the update on SD card or something, so I mustn't keep re-downloading each time I want to try an update, because it takes a lot of time?

  2. no idea what could be stopping the update? I have rooted the phone and I changer host name on it (which runs automatically at startup), but otherwise I do not think that there is a lot of the weird way software on my phone.

  3. is it possible to run the update in a diagnostic mode for more information on why it fails, or is there a log somewhere that shows the problem that I can access?

  Right after that Googling around, I found the problem. It's pretty much as guessed grandsport: phone rooting. But as I noted above, just unrooting the phone wasn't enough.

  I found several forum discussions android Developer talks about updates on phones motorola fault because you do not have a completely stock on the phone image, ie you have uninstalled or "frozen" some of the aps standard bloatware and updating vomits when he sees that they are missing. I remembered that in fact I had installed an app to freeze some of the bloatware. So I ran that ap and unlock the apps, went through the tedious 1 hr + download and now he just completed updated, so that was the problem for me.

  Also I found the location updates, they are stored in the directory/cache with an obvious name - searching for update. You will need to have a rooted phone and an app that can access the file system, I used ES File Explorer, you can select and copy the files onto your external SD card. I assume that after the failure of the update, they are deleted, so you should be able to copy their return, but I have not to my update has finished!

  Unless I'm missing something, a comma no longer as a break in the numbering system for a contact saved since the update.

  It used to be convenient for the extension of the membership numbers, codes etc authorisation but they seem to be ignored after the update.

  Also, there is no apparent way to change a phone number with any character other than those on the keyboard.

  I'll miss the convenience, but is not a major problem - just a minor annoyance. Carrier may be mandated?
