JIT - random delay / waiting

Hello

How can I defer action in an applet? But should not be a fixed time, the best solution would be a random value. Let's say that + / 5 s...

If generating a random real has been worth is not possible, some Pseudo-aleatoires value might help. Something like extract a numeric value from No. series router.

Thanks for the ideas / Karsten

Although not necessarily random, you can use the parameter msec to see the clock output to simulate a random number between 0 and 5 using something like this:

Event Manager applet two

event no

Action 1 cli command 'see the clock.

Action 2 regexp ".» * \. ([0-9] +). ' ' * ' $_cli_result ' match msec

fracture of action 2.5 $msec 6

Action 3 "random: $_remainder.

Unfortunately the wait action not accepting a variable as input name if you want to run commands in a loop and have each run at a random second, you would have to create a wait loop before running the command.  Here is an example:

Event Manager applet three

event no 60 maxrun

action 098 puts "loop run 5 times"

game action 099 County 0

action 100 all $count lt 5

action cli 101 command 'see the clock.

action 102 regexp ".» * \. ([0-9] +). ' ' * ' $_cli_result ' match msec

action 102,6 multiply $count $count

action 102.7 multiply $msec $_result

action 103 divide _result $6

game action 104 I have "0".

action 105 all $i the $_remainder

action 106 wait 1

action 107 incr I have

108 action ended

109 action puts ' expected $_remainder seconds.

incr action 110 County

end of the 111 action

action 112 puts "loop finished."

This product output such as:

#ev man run three

loop running 5 times

WAIT 0 seconds

wait 5 seconds

wait 2 seconds

wait 3 seconds

wait 2 seconds

finished loop

Thank you

  • How to remove the random delay to the extent

    Hi guys

    I had a little problem with a measure that I do in a subvi. Take a look at the picture (do not laugh please )

    Some first explanations:

    I put online a digital high in order to initialize a piece of hardware.

    Can I activate two relays. Time zero (T0).

    Then I have to activate the piece of hardware that I've initialized at startup.

    In the meantime enabled I do measure (here called Maling). The measure is 40 channels. I do measure on 10 circuits. Each of the 3 voltages and current measurement 1. Tensions are CSR and the current is differential. Sampling is 1000 samples at 1 kHz, which gives me a resolution of 1 sample every ms.

    After the measurement, I turn off the relay and the piece of hardware that I've initialized at startup.

    The collected data is transformed into an array of 40 lines and columns of 1000 with the data. In my loop for I extracted the data and make a comparison and put the data in a chart.

    Here's my problem:

    I get a random delay on each measure. I used to get the tickcount OpenG (could use framing). In the x - y indicator, I get 1060-1072 - ish milliseconds. I tried to subtract the 1000 ms of measure and delay of 60-72-ish "millisecond" added to my chart and dataindicators, but it does not work. When I use oscilloscope on 10 channels, I get the same measurement each time. When I do in Labview, it becomes worng because of the delay. I get exactly the same extent as the oscilloscope.

    In my own defense:

    I used the DAQ Assistant, because it gives me the wiring diagram of the material on my series M of NI USB-6225. Also I am not yet familiar with the implementation of the data acquisition without help. Yes, I looked at the forum and the examplefinder, but I spend too much time on this compared to help data acquisition.

    My measure should start just after the relay was activated. I think maybe using trigger on a clock internal, but not quite sure if it will help on the delay. My thoughts of setting this up would not use the DAQ help. Set up channels by using a loop For and do the measurement.

    You can maybe share some thoughts around the problem of delay and perhaps give me a clue on where to begin to remove this time limit. My DAQ should be ok because he has a limit of 250 k samples/s and I use it only 40 k samples. Do you think that the delay that I measure either before or after the measurement of 1000 ms?

    Kind regards

    Even

    My first reaction is that you are activating the fuses in parallel with your time of measurement and measurement on both. Move your clock of departure according to plunger PA and only to measure the time of Maling for beginners.

    (RelePWR-> Fuze Center-> time-> Maling-> time)

  • Random delay to a timer in AS3

    Hello, I have a timer with a random delay in AS3.

    For example, I click on a button and it traces 'Hello' in 2 sec. I click again and it traces 'Hello' in 5 sec. I click a third time and he traces 'Hello' in 3 sec... etc... I tried to write this, to try to choose a time between 2 and 8:

    var zedelais:Array = ["2000", "3000", "4000", "5000", "6000", "7000", "8000"];
    var delaisok:Number = zedelais[Math.floor(Math.random()*zedelais.length)];
    var zeTimer:Timer = new Timer(delaisok,1);
    //var zeTimer:Timer = new Timer(5000,1);

    azer.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, azergo);

         function azergo(event:MouseEvent):void {
         zeTimer.start();
         }

    zeTimer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, timerFunction);
         function timerFunction(event:TimerEvent):void{
         trace("Hello world !!");
         }

    But it does not work as I want. The delay change only when the program is launched, not when I click on the button...

    Any idea, please?

    Thanks for your help

    It does not change because you never tell him.  You define when the program starts and never change.   Try to add the time of change in the click event handler function...

    function azergo(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    zeTimer.delay = zedelais [Math.floor (Math.random () * zedelais.length)];

    zeTimer.start ();

    }

    any help or any suggestion where the problem may be? I need more information before to send it to ACER, I won't return for a few days and then be said «we have no problem...» »

    Thank you

    Kai

    I have had a look and it seems that your model does not use technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology. However, I can cheat me so check your event log for the error I described in my first post. If you have cleared your newspapers, wait for the problem to appear once more and then check again. If you do not see the error that this correction will not help you (application do nothing other that add clutter to your registry).

    A bit of history...

    Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) added originally entered in the registry during installation. Since version 10, Intel changed the application to use the settings by default, embedded in the program - registry entries are no longer used by default. However, TSRI seems to check the entries and if necessary, he would use. The problem arises that if version 10 is a new installation and the default settings do not meet your equipment needs. When this is the case, you might well live temporary blockage. It wasn't a problem if you upgraded of course you would have entries in your registry database.

    The solution is to simply add the appropriate entries.

    It is an export of the Scriptures that I added:

    ----------------

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters]

    "BusType" = dword:00000003

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port0]

    "LPM" = DWORD: 00000000

    "LPMSTATE" = DWORD: 00000000

    "MISCONDUCT" = DWORD: 00000000

    "LPMDSTATE" = DWORD: 00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port1]

    "MISCONDUCT" = DWORD: 00000000

    "LPM" = DWORD: 00000000

    "LPMDSTATE" = DWORD: 00000000

    "LPMSTATE" = DWORD: 00000000

    ----------------

    Copy the lines between the '-' (but do not include them).

    Paste it into a text file and finally, change the .txt .reg file type

    Double-click the file and follow the instructions to add to the registry.

    Note that I have included the second entry (Port1) because I have a DVD player. Honestly, I don't know if I needed to do.

    You should try this? Well, that's a decision for you! You can do a bit of reading (or a lot!) on the Intel site to better understand.

    All I can really tell you is that I had the problem of gel (10 to 20 seconds or more) as well as the error in the log. After I made the registry changes I have * never * had a freezing episode since. Nor I have seen the error reappears in my journal.  My machine (M5-581TG) is lightning fast, so I'm more than happy that the fix has had no adverse effect.

    Finally, if you decide to give it a go, I'd say you first check your registry database, and if you can't find this entry, export them before you add mine so you can put back them if need be.

  • ReadyNAS-102 (6.4.1) disconnects randomly

    Hi all

    Over a year ago I bought a NAS readyNAS-102 as replacement for my old configuration by using a media player with external drives. From the beginning I was very happy with the way everything worked, it was so good!

    I was able to access my files across using FTP, I could listen to my Samsung Smart TV and all devices (laptops, ipads, you call it) could access the database, I created.

    This has stopped recently. For some unknown reason my readyNAS-102 with firmware 6.4.1 randomly disconnects after a while to load. It doesn't matter if it is used TV, laptop or tablet.

    For example, when you watch a movie on the TV, the laptop or Tablet the device disconnects from the SIN after a random delay. This may be 3 or 30 minutes in the film. Strange thing is, it is not peripheral wide, so when the laptop is disconnected (I can't access it storage network or via static ip address) I can still access the NAS with my ipad.

    The same thing happens when you look at photos etc. I already tried several things but can't seem to find the missing piece of the puzzle.

    Perhaps people with more knowledge have a hunch where the problem may be.

    Kind regards

    Tomas

    I am pleased to announce that for the moment, the problem disappeared.

    I updated the firmware to the latest version beta 6.4.2 - T72 and tested by watching a movie.

    For 1 hour and 15 minutes the NAS has run smoothly so I am happy again.

    Thanks for the quick and clear answer y ' All!

  • Google music starts randomly playing music

    Hey guys,.

    I use my RAZR Droid as my MP3 player in the car or while I walk, and I used to use Google Music. Sometimes at random, after I put my phone away, a random delay happen when suddenly he starts to play my music. It's a bit annoying (especially when it happens in the middle of the class!) when it starts blasting music. Someone else has a similar problem? I started just the volume of media completely when I finished playing music. It happened about twice now. I used my lapdock once when it happened, but I wasn't interacting with the phone itself, when it happened. The other time was completely inactive and I wasn't touching.

    Thank you!

    It's weird. Do not use Google Music myself (even if I put it in place)... I use my music instead.

    Maybe set up a SmartAction rule to increase volume of the media to zero when there are no headphones inserted into your device?

  • Realistic of the random movements of multiple MovieClips

    Hi here is my code:

    30 images/s

    var human = 30;

    hSpeed var = 4;

    for (i=0; i<humans; i++) {
         //attach movieclip with name "human"
         //give it a random x y position (there are now 30 scattered human MCs)
         _root["human"+i].onEnterFrame = function() {
              this._x += random(hSpeed); //Here is the 'random' movement of the Movieclips
              this._x -= random(hSpeed);
              this._y += random(hSpeed);
              this._y -= random(hSpeed);
                   //some more code
         }
    }

    Makes the jitter movieclips on, humans don't do that, I can't find a way to make their random movement still smooth, moving in a random direction for a few seconds (preferably a random amout of seconds), then to change direction - I found a way to do it but it does not work on individuals It works on all 30 movieclips, which means that all move in the same direction.

    Don't forget that the movement must be random for each individual movieclip, not all move in the same direction.

    Does anyone know how? Thank you

    If you want to maintain the movement in a random direction for some time, then you're probably better using code interpolation.  Generate interpolations for each object that moves them from their current position to some random in some random delays.  And have a listener that determines when the Tween is complete so that a new Tween is engaged with the new direction and speed (time).

  • random timer interval

    I'm currently building a scene in which multiple instances of the same mc start at different intervals and continue to reboot over and over again at different intervals.  I try to get the mc from anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds after that it has finally stopped.  I used this code as3 inside mc th himself.

    var randNum:Number;

    randNum = Math.round (Math.random () * 5 + 2 * 1000);

    trace (randNum);

    var: timer = new Timer (randNum);

    timer.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, randGen);

    function randGen(e:TimerEvent):void {}

    trace ("Hello");

    }

    Timer.Start ();

    The trace shows a random number is generated, but it does not appear after the first run because the interval of the timer.  "Hello" appears in the output window every second after the randNum is awarded regardless of the value of the randNum.

    I tried to use timer.reset, but which seems to do nothing at all or stops the repeat.  Probably because I don't understand how to use ".reset" or ".delay".  I have them looked in the documentation and still don't get how they are used or even if they are suitable for this situation.  Obviously, a lot I don't understand about as3.  Will someone kindly point out what I'm doing wrong?  Thank you.

    If you are insisting on the use of the way you have set it up, maybe you can try to do something like this:

    var randNum:Number;

    randNum = Math.round (Math.random () * 5 + 2000);

    trace (randNum);

    var: timer = new Timer (randNum);

    timer.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, randGen);

    function randGen(e:TimerEvent):void {}

    var timerObj:Timer = e.target as timer;

    randNum = Math.round (Math.random () * 5 + 2000);

    trace ("New delay value:", randNum);

    trace ("Hello");

    timerObj.delay = randNum;

    }

    Timer.Start ();

    Like the previous poster mentioned if you want that a more graduated random delay to pay attention to what you use for the random number. Math.Random () generates a floating point number between 0 and 1 (for example: 0.65687651151), so Math.Random () * 5 is going to be a part of the whole number of 5. Addition of 2000 that will only give a number between 2000 and 2005.

    Hope that helps!

  • random, fade in/out

    I am trying to create a grid of hexagons which randomly fade in and out at different speeds to create a "scintillating". Ideally, I'd be able to put an a random delay between when a mc is completely faded in or out and when it starts fading in the other sense. This is the code I have so far. All of my mc seem to catch up to another, and I think it's because the clearInterval is to perform all the hexagons. Thanks for the help.

    var hex: Array = new Array (hex1 hex2 hex3, hex4, hex5, hex6);

    function fadein (): Void {}
    for (i = 0; i < hex.length; i ++) {}
    Hex ._alpha ++;
    }
    }
    function fadeout (): Void {}
    for (i = 0; i < hex.length; i ++) {}
    hexagonal
    ._alpha;
    }
    }

    var fadeinInterval:Number = setInterval (fadein, (randRange (5.30), 50));

    this.onEnterFrame = function() {}
    for (i = 0; i < hex.length; i ++) {}
    If {(hex ._alpha > 95)
    clearInterval (fadeinInterval);
    var fadeoutInterval:Number = setInterval (fadeout, (randRange (5.30), 50));
    updateAfterEvent();
    } ElseIf (hex
    < 5 ._alpha)}
    clearInterval (fadeoutInterval);
    setInterval (fadein, (randRange (5.30), 50));
    updateAfterEvent();
    }
    }
    updateAfterEvent();
    };

    function plageAleatoire (min:Number, max: number)
    {
    var randomNum:Number = Math.Random () * (max - min) + min;
    Return randomNum;
    }

    in a class, you can define functions at the level of the class and vars, but you cannot call a function. SetTimeout has some wacky questions with classes, (repairable) also, but more on that in a moment.

    TwinkleHex.as<-- most="" classes="" start="" with="" a="" capital="">

    Import mx.transitions.Tween;
    Import mx.transitions.easing. *;

    class TwinkleHex extends MovieClip {}
    var this_is_where_var_definitions_go:Number;

    function TwinkleHex() {}
    That's what will be called when a TwinkleHex object is created. It will be called once.

    setTimeout (Thi, 'fadein', plageAleatoire (1, 500));
    I think that it is the syntax, but I could be wrong, it seek verification.
    }

    function fadeout() {}
    kill the loop for, you create 1 tween for 1 item.
    }
    function fadein() {}
    -kill the loop
    }
    {} randrange() function
    This function is great.
    }
    }

  • Comparative analysis of local Variable Transmission times

    Is it possible to compare the time of transmission of local variables?

    I ran some stuff simple reference before, but never something that would understand how long we had to to get a piece of data in a local variable.

    I have attached a simple program that sends information via a local variable, and there is obviously some lag which is visible, well, I'm running at least visible on the system. I know that this lag depends on the system, the program runs on so I would really like to find a way to test it on the PC we use here.

    Any ideas?

    -Ian

    No, they are not the devil as long as you are aware of their capabilities and their limitations.

    Regarding "some applications cannot always use queues or notifiers accomplish certain requirements", give me an application where you cannot use a queue or the declarant, and I bet you can.

    The problem with your 'reference', is that it's a bad test.  You do a visual aspect to two parallel while loops that have no synchronization between them.  If you used a wait until the next msec in both loops, you would see then better synchronization.  Download the file read out of the loop that could cause a random delay.

    And the biggest concern with local variables is "conditions of competition".  Search the forums to learn more about them.  You cannot control this piece of code is running in what order.  If you have two parallel two loop iterations, if the value is written to the local variable before or after that the local variable is read and written to the other indicator determines if a value new or old is used.  If it's an old value, it will be a new iteration of the loop at the bottom before it is updated.

    Search the forums for the terminals of variables local vs vs property nodes, and you will see that the local variables updated the order of milliseconds.  The only reason you see 'in the Kingdom of less than 250 ms' is because it is the rate of the iteration of the loop at the bottom.

  • VIX 1.6.2 and ESXi 3.5.0: connection drops for no apparent reason

    I used vix to drive a virtual machine hosted by workstation, but I update this code (c#), to drive a virtual machine hosted by ESXi.

    I have a lot of problems with the connection to the abandonment. I set up a ping t on ESXi box and on the virtual machine I want to drive, and that shows a consistent link. However, I find the following:

    • If I call Connect successfully and then add a call to Open, on a regular basis, the call will fail with VIX_E_HOST_NOT_CONNECTED. I put the Connect and Open calls in a loop to try again with a break of 20 seconds between each attempt. After 3 or 4 attempts it usually connects.

    • If my program does a job without talking to the VM for about a minute, the connection drops usually such that if I try to call RunProgramInGuest after use the Vix api for a minute, it fails with "not connected". I put in a call to try again 'connection' before running a program on the virtual machine. Failure, I run the connection and open the loop to try one more time and then question the RunProgramInGuest call, I wanted to once again and it works.

    • However, I'm stuck, if I call RunProgramInGuest and then wait on the handle of the job, he is generally ok unless in the guest takes more than a minute or so to run. In this case returns never wait and the program is blocked.

    Anyone who knows the connection drop like that? What solution did you use to solve the final problem. I considered trying to exceed a reminder in, but the wait is failing, I expect that a reminder be never called back either. The other option I'm considering is that every time I call RunProgramInGuest, I actually run a script on the computer virtual who runs the program, then writes a file. So I can query reconnect, reopen and reconsignation-in in a loop to try again, and a quick turnaround program that looks like the existence of the file that tells me the program finished. It sounds crazy, so I hope that there are better suggestions!

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    In addition, if the guys from VMWare VIX watch this group discussion. Here are two suggestions: If you want a badge of the ViX API in the top level, the logic of reconnection must be internal. In addition, a native managed API which requires no installation of COM stuff would be very welcome.

    I suppose that you keep reopening a connection and garbage collection operation, it destroyed in a random delay. That's why you see inconsistent results. I suggest you to take VMWareTasks and rewrite the code that you do without anything resembling a retry. It should "work".

    If you say that you have sent me Email to change the password, they have not been received.

    Several times I used sync for tranzfer of information to a new computer and or updated computer!
    In the last 24 hours I've sent many requests for 'change password' for those that I tried did not work, so I can connect!

    You say you sent an email over and over again, but no one came to my email which is confirmed you have the right address!

    There is absolutely no evidence that you tried to send an email to me, I checked the spam, I even looked to see if somehow, it went one folder other then my Inbox, nothing has been received on your part!

    Removed edit email and public telephone for spammers robots do not find.

    You can enter the wrong email address. I tested 2 fake emails in the password reset page and received the green check mark telling me that the password reset emails have been sent. It is not a real confirmation that your e-mail address is used by Firefox accounts.

    This is done this way so that hackers and spammers can not cheat the system by typing many kinds of emails at random and wait to see if they get a confirmation 'this e-mail address is. So for security reasons, all the entered addresses electronic are treated as real even if there is no account that corresponds to this e-mail.

    Please try some of your other email addresses here and see if you receive a password reset email in these accounts.

  • Wireless router is disconnected from the PC (s) during the use of Firefox 37.0.1

    This problem occurred for the last 2 weeks whenever I use Firefox on each of the 2 PC's I use it every day. The problem may occur a few minutes after the start of Firefox, or it may be hours of continuous use before the connection is lost. It's okay if I'm in Firefox by itself or have the background applications running, but without a doubt requires Firefox runs before I see a problem.

    Configuration: WIN 8.1 and VISTA 64. the two latest updates.
    LAN: cable modem and Belkin wireless router; together with the latest firmware.
    Firefox v37.0.1 without add-ins or modules. Start page is 'empty '.

    Symptoms:
    Status bar Windows shows that I'm disconnected from the router.
    Router and the modem status LED shows that I am connected to the internet. Same thing for the VICTORY of the network status app. It shows no connection to router.

    The problem can be temporarily fixed by power cycling the router. Or, in the meantime just a random delay the connection may (or may not) be restored on its own.

    I also use a standalone PC application that streams the text given in short bursts and runs all day (no video or music... just short lines of text) with no problems until I launch Firefox in the background. Then he can go a few hours before the connection to the router is lost. I also often watch videos on my Tablet without the router problems. While typing in this issue on a PC I was disconnected from my router. I'm hoping to get some suggestions as to what to inspect or modify. Thank you!

    Fred, I had to leave the House early this morning and had no time to dig a cable long enough to reach my modem to try your suggestion. But, what I did was half of your suggestion. I pushed the reset bit recessed on the modem and left the House around 08:30 with Firefox running on both computers. Seven hours later everything is normal. No router disconnects and I gave a very good workout system.

    I have also now initial notice that connects to the web sites are faster.

    It is obviously a logical explanation for what was going on, but to an outside observer (), I see absolutely no logical link to the 'solution' for the rest of the universe. I won't lose sleep on. And I'm going to ask you more specifically when the next puzzle problem occurs! Thank you, Fred!
