[JS IDCS5] Proportionally resize Tables

Strange, somehow it happened to me that this could 've/should 've/would have worked! I'm even sure that I used, in the past. But I can't make it work on my CS4 is!

You will have to use this workaround:

myTable = app.selection[0].parent;
factor = 115/myTable.width;
for (col=0; col

Re proportionally resizing of images
 
			 
On my web pages I often show pictures of products and to keep the clean appearance, I often type in a width of each image and make all the same. In Golive, you could simply tell the other dimension is proportional. In DW I don't see an option for this. I know that I can < shift > drag size to proportionally resize them but I want to be able to simply type in a dimension. If I enter the width the height remains the same and I do the match (not fun) to determine the size to type to make it proportional again.
Am I missing a setting or a function somewhere that allows for proportional scaling using the type of box?

I'm doing a proportional resizing of an image. I know that the original size of the image (which vary from image to image) and then I know its height in pixels. How do I scale it down to adjust the height again while keeping in proportion? There is a simple equation to do this?
			 
Once loading is completed (in an empty movieclip), you can access its size original (so that should not be hard-coded).  and when the loading is complete, you can assign your resizing:
target.aspectRatio = target._width/target._height;
Target._height = newHeight;

Automatically resize Tables
 
			 I'm tired of always having to resize my window to get tables to resize. A small example


If I do a table 2 x 2, put a dozen back in a cell, the table expands to reflect this large cell is filled back. Now, if I select and remove all these returns, the table will remain large. To get it to resize, I can resize my window at the bottom right. Or, I can use the clear column height and width buttons to take the new kid.


What I really want time real table resizes. I am certain that in earlier versions, there was a preference that says 'automatically resize tables. I can't find it. Y at - it a shortcut keyboard, or automatically to get there?


I use DW 8 on a mac.

To update cell of table in Design view rendering, just click in one
adjacent table cell or table, or another part of the page.
Or press F5.

Used to be called faster preference editing Table (postponed the update)
which you can untick to get an update in real time.
They have now compromised by not offering is not an update in real time of the table cell
(too memory intensive, as I understand it) that you are editing, but he is going to update

Loss of data when resizing table 2D
 
			 
I data collection and insert in a table I did great I know will be used.  I then resize the table using SetArrayBounds, because I now know the number of iterations that have been executed.  I find myself with an array of correct size, but the data consist of the first line with only the first column is missing.  All other elements are 0 (matrix of numbers).  Any idea what's going on?
I wanted to start with an empty array, resize to any line and the number of columns before you start the iterations, then add a line at the beginning of each iteration.  I was shot on this, but it seems that it works better.

Could you show us the code you used to implement? Specifically, the resizing of the table? http://forums.NI.com/T5/NI-TestStand/what-is-the-syntax-for-SetArrayBounds-for-a-multi-dimensional/t... This thread shows the correct syntax for the command and its implementation.
If I understand correctly that you slowly fill this table which has been initialized to 100 x 100. The first thing we should do is to initialize the array to 100xthe number of columns if at least we can stop worrying about the columns since you already know how many settings you are testing. We use jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 and have a behavior strange table recognized in our application. Not on all pages, but on some, we have the following scenario:
-adf table with toolbar + the edit button
-selection of a line and pressing the edit button-> works very well
-RESIZE a column and pressing the button edit-> exception.
does anyone have a tip?

After some research deep I found the error, the following edit.jsff contains a component named as t1 but wasn't an array element. I changed the ID of the element to something else and the error has been corrected. Seems to be a bug of the ADF (or at least some sort of bug that has appeared since our last migration)
		   
 
            
           
 
		     
Problem with resizing table InDesign CS5
 
			 
I have problems with resizing of tables in InDesign CS5.
The width can be entered and a decrease, but the right height do move up nor down when you pull in the lower right corner or anywhere else on the base of the columns.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Is it a bug or maybe just me not understanding things correctly in the help...?

I have a test taken that step of an array of containers.
Suppose I have an array passed to me as a sequence of local variable:
Locals.NumericalMappings
And let's say that I have create an empty array.
If I want to create a 1 d table tell the size of 3 elements
I came up with a way to do it in an expression:
Locals.NumericalMappings.GetPropertyObject("",0). Type.ArrayDimensions.SetBoundsByStrings("[0]","[2]")
Is there a more elegant way?

I guess you wrote this form the top of your head, as the signature of the method, I found SetNumElements (digital, digital).
The actuall call is:
Locals.NumericalMappings.SetNumElements (3.1)

I have a document, intended to be html
use of e-mail. I have (two cells big) side-by-side and in each of those cells, independent tables. I have all the dimensions determined by 100% or specific values. Unfortunately, they continue to shiftin their widths.

Proportionally resize paths is not proportional
 
			 
Hi all
I'm designing a logo for the moment. I created all the letters of my logo by myself, by joining forms using the path finder etc. The version I created is quite important in terms of scale.
Issues lies with the what I resize the logo to a smaller size and zoom in on it, I see that the paths are distorted. The distortion seems to happen to every letter of my logo. I've went and cleaned the paths, removed some useless anchor points to make it better, but it always seems to be a big problem.
Does anyone have directions on how to solve this problem, instead of having to recreate the logo on a smaller scale?
I'm in Illustrator CS5 Windows 7 64 bit with all updates more recent adobe.

Images in the tables not resizing using reagents HTML5
 
			 
With the help of RH11.9.4.291
I do a few exits Responsive HTML5 test results for Desktop/Tablet/phone by resizing the browser window and I noticed that;
Images resizing correct (yay!)
Correct resizing tables (also yay!)
Images in the tables don't resize at all (boo to that!)
Any ideas?
			 
I solved in fact just that, both for reasons of post the solution...
The culprit was the underlying html language associated with text in italics in the table. On the surface, the text went well. But in the HTML code, it looked like this:
"font style: =" ' italic;' = ""
I have no idea how it happened, or why only preventing image resizing, but cleaning, upward, solved the problem.

IM fairly new to using dreamweaver, but im having this problem because I use photoshop as sort of my background (before saving for the web - where it converts to HTML) before you create layers on dreamweaver to enter text.
Here is the problem im seen, when I resize the browser (firefox or IE), the text is moved along horizontally instead of being "fixed" in the background.
Ive attached some screenshots for you guys to understand what im say better.
(1) the gif file called "enlarged browser" shows how the site looks like when brower is enlarged,
(2) gif file titled "resized browser" shows how the site looks like after that I have resize the browser. (same thing for IE and Firefox).
Please let me know what im doing wrong. Greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

What you're doing wrong is unable to understand how to work the "layers". Older versions of Dreamweaver call a layer is a div absolute positioning of elements that are positioned in absolute terms are removed from the normal flow of the web page and placed in the window of the browser in determined points. Everything that is not in a 'sex' is still fluid. So what you see is your resizing tables being reorganized as the size of the browser window is changed, the "layers" are still at their fixed location. Although it seems that the 'layer' is moving, it's the other way around. Everything else is moving, but the layer remains in place.

Linked excel tables in InDesign CS5 update problems and keep the formatting: need help
 
			 
I've been using excel to place several tables in my InDesign CS5 document which will require the update on a regular basis. The tables are already formatted in excel, so I will place in InDesign with formatting and you will usually have to reduce proportionally the tables as soon as they are in InDesign CS5. When I'll update the links, it is important the content of the tables as part of current text with larger text and I am unable to "Insert the picture content" or "shrink content proportionally." Nobody knows how to solve this problem or know of another way to link excel with formatting tables and update without having to reformat the table (i.e. to resize the image and text) every time that happens an update? Thank you!!

I try to get the average of every 10 points at my table...
 
			 
I have a table of data and wish to get an output of the average of every 10 points. For example, the average of the points from 1 to 10, then the average points 11-20, then 21-30, etc.
The challenge is that I don't know in advance how many points the sensor will collect executed because it depends on some external factors. I've attached a picture with some data made to illustrate what looks like at my table. In the example I tied, would be medium-sized (11 + 34 + 125 + 77 + 44 + 232 + 25 + 213 + 22 + 89) / 10 and (90 + 45 + 77 + 26 + 1 + 22 + 57 + 67 + 360 + 33) / 10.
My first attempt used a structure case which found an average running and then reset whenever a multiple of 10 has been reached. However, this method is not very effective. Does anyone have ideas better?

It is generally not advisable to use 'delete from table' in a tight loop. Constant memory due to resizing table reallocations are probably ineffective.
Here is a simple way to do...
(If the number of points is not divisible by 10, the tail in excess is eliminated. You can easily change this behavior if you want.)
